The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine the ways in which culture and cultural policy are being articulated in the process of Lund's application to become Sweden's European Cultural Capital of 2014.I have used Dorte Skot-Hansen's three cultural political rationalities: the humanistic-, the sociological- and the instrumental rationality, as well as and Jenny Johannisson's extension of those into three cultural-political discourses, as sensitizing concepts in my analysis. The questions raised are: How are the three rationalities/discourses articulated in the chosen central documents and in the process surrounding them? Which themes and arguments dominate the chosen documents?The main objects of my study have been four texts that have been produced in the applicationprocess: a Prestudy, a Plan of action, a Broschure and a Cultural policy. Along with them local political protocols, newspaper articles and other related material have been used. The research method applied was a qualitative eclectical textual analysis with emphasis on the content and on tracing the way the rationalities were expressed in the material.The rationalities were all found to be articulated in the four texts.

För att underlätta program-till-programkommunikation har SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) utvecklats. SOA har som mål att bidra med riktlinjer för att det ska bli lättare för två applikationer att kommunicera med varandra (Samtani & Sadhwani 2002a). Web Services är en standard som bygger på SOA-arkitekturen och det som gör Web Services speciellt är att tekniken ska vara plattforms- och språkoberoende (Clabby, 2003).Sun och Microsoft har utvecklat varsin plattform för utveckling av Web Services-applikationer. I denna rapport genomförs en litteraturstudie för att undersöka vilket stöd plattformarna har för utveckling av Web Services och för att ta reda på vilka skillnader som finns mellan plattformarna. Skillnaderna undersöks sedan för att se om de kan leda till problem då en användare vill integrera Web Services skrivna i olika plattformar.Resultatet i denna rapport visar att de båda plattformarna har ett bra stöd för att utveckla Web Service-applikationer.

En typisk funktion på startsidan till många webbportaler är den webbdel som presenterar exempelvis desenaste blogginläggen, nyheterna eller händelserna som har lagts till på webbplatsen. Dessa funktioner ärkända som aggreggeringswebbdelar. Eftersom startsidan är den sida som besöks mest jämfört med alla andrawebbsidor i portalen innebär det i sin tur att denna funktion utnyttjas väldigt ofta.Detta arbete syftar till att finna ett antal olika metoder som kan användas för att uppnå denna funktion ochatt ta reda på hur väl dessa webbdelar presterar.Denna rapport presenterar både de olika metoder som fanns och resultaten på en systematisk testning avdessa. Resultaten av testerna presenteras på ett överskådligt sätt.Slutligen dras slutsatser angående resultaten. Resultaten förespråkar inte en specifik metod, den metod somlämpar sig bäst för varje enskild sammanhang avgörs till största del av andra faktorer såsom frekvens avbesökare eller ändringar på innehållet som metoden söker igenom..

Det svenska charterflygbolaget TUIfly Nordic AB har haft problem med att på ett korrekt sätt estimera det antal mantimmar som fordras för planerade underhållsaktiviteter på flygplanstypen Boeing 737-800. Problemen har berört tidsestimeringarna för arbetskort i flygplanstypens underhållsprogram samt tidsestimeringarna för öppning och stängning av paneler och luckor. För att söka en lösning på problemen har det här examensarbetet utvecklat metoder för att modifiera de tidsestimeringar för arbetskort, paneler och luckor som finns i TUIfly Nordics underhållsprogram för Boeing 737-800. En metod för att fastställa tidsåtgången för att åtgärda defekter, s.k. findings, som hittas på flygplanen vid utförande av arbetskort har också utvecklats.De utvecklade metoderna har använts för att beräkna nya tidsestimeringar i Microsoft Excel.

Today there are many different Cad-applications on the market for engineers. Because of big building projects it has become more and more important to work with the same application or to have access to a neutral file type to be able to transfer files between different ones.This report studies the single objects and how they react when transferring them between ADT and ArchiCAD via the neutral type IFC. We have also been looking at problems during the transfer between and if there are some connections between these problems. Afterwards we created a neutral object model of a small country house to see if the objects appeared different. The result shows no differences.But looking at the problems that appeared during the transmissions they felt small and no logical.Today it is not possible to save in a neutral type without facing small problems.

Due to excess precipitation that cause runoff, all soils in Sweden naturally leaches nitrogen.High leaching from arable land is an environmental problem when the runoff reacheswaters. In the international agreement, Baltic Sea Action Plan, the aim is to reduce therunoff of nutrients. Sweden has agreed to reduce its load of e.g. nitrogen to the Baltic Sea.One of the proposed measures is an increased use of site-specific N-fertilization, which hasbeen shown to increase nitrogen use efficiency and therefore also reduce the nitrogen runoff.Either yields are increased with the same total amount of nitrogen, or the total quantityof nitrogen is reduced with preserved yield levels, which is profitable for the farmers.The dynamics of nitrogen leaching differs between top dressing applications above orbelow the economical optimum. There is a consensus about a difference in the dynamics,but not about its magnitude.

Som dom flesta underhållsbolag jobbar även TAM (Täby Air Maintenance) med arbetsordrar. Dessa för att visa vilka arbeten som skall utföras, var de skall utföras och hur de skall utföras. Uppgiften som tilldelades var att effektivisera TAM:s (Täby Air Maintenance) arbetsordersystem på flygplansmodellen SAAB 340. Deras nuvarande tillvägagångssätt är att arbetsordern först läggs in manuellt i Microsoft Excel för att sedan redigeras och anpassas för den specifika kunden. Arbetsorden delas upp i olika sektioner av flygplanet, detta görs för att underlätta teknikernas och mekanikernas arbete när de bestämmer hur arbetet skall fördelas.

This report describes the development of a well?functioning and aesthetically appealing web portal and associated database for a company called Svensk Kredit & Försäkringsförmedling AB (Translated: Swedish Credit & Insurance intermediation AB). The portal will test customers' creditworthiness through another company called Business Check in Sweden AB.Administrators to the web portal have a special user interface to display all customers, to disburse the money to the customer and edit customer information. A super?user interface is available for administrators where they can change the information on all administrator accounts.Many aspects of security has been addressed because the web portal will handle personal information.

Detta är ett uppsats på D-nivå. I en tidigare kurs, inom vårat program Data- och Systemvetenskap, kom vi på en idé om hur man kan förbättra/komplettera utbildningen av nyanställda som befinner sig i en stressig arbetsplats på företag där det är ett ständigt behov av återanställning av personal. Vi utvecklade detta koncept och kom med idén till en simulator som kan utbilda personal samt minska stress hos nyanställda. Idén mognade till en Serious Game simulator baserad på en Wii-kontrollerad PC-baserad simulator med Bluetooth-stöd.Syftet med denna uppsats är att skapa en guide om grunderna i en simulator som utnyttjar Wii-kontroller som externa inmatningsenheter. I denna guide kommer vi att täcka hur Nintendos Wii-kontroll fungerar, hur man kan skapa enkla 3D-modeller i Blender och även hur detta kan implementeras i Microsoft XNA.

From interviews with biology teachers and pupils, some important factors are presented that motivates and interests pupils in biology. Some of these are varied education, commitment of the teacher, narrative skill and individually reachable goals. Other important factors are practical application and connection to daily life, as well as actuality of the subject and pupils experience of the use of learning.Circumstance around teacher and pupils will influence which factors that has the most impact. It´s up to each teacher to make a decision which factors to be used based on his or her own qualities and depending on the group they will teach.Teachers and pupils agreed about factors that will cause an interesting lesson. The pupils emphasize that variation is the most important factor.

Today bonuscards are used widely to encourage customers to return for more purchases. Many of those bonuscards are today made of paper which is negative for the environment and since they are not very valuable they are also easy to misplace. The mobile version of these cards most often needs an active download and/or other processes before use and are therefore not so easy to use spontaneous. This project aims to make it easier to handle these bonuscards with today?s smartphones and solve the given problems.

Detta projekt har producerats i samarbete med Abu Garcia i Svängsta, Blekinge. Vårat projekt är en interaktiv produkt presentation gjord i flash med inslag av 3d, video och ljud. Våran tanke är att användaren ska kunna se hur en Ambassadeur Record fiskerulle ser ut både på insidan och utsidan, hur den fungerar och vad som gör den så unik. Det finns också video filmer som beskriver tillverknings processen, och hur man som förstagångs användare använder en Ambassadeur rulle. Design och bakgrundsljud är anpassad så att den ska väcka en känsla av fiske och fridfull utomhus miljö..

Det här examensarbetet är en marknadsundersökning som IT-tjänstföretaget CGI tagit initiativ till. CGI har uppmärksammat att det finns ett behov av ett handfast verktyg för att förenkla produktionsplaneringen, vilket är bakgrunden till det här examensarbetet. Den strukturella omvandlingen inom sågverksindustrin har medfört ett behov av ett mer kundanpassat sortiment och utvecklingen har medfört ett ökat behov av automatiserade processtyrningar. För att kunna produktionsplanera effektivt, beskrivs det i studien att det finns behov av ett mer långsiktigt planeringsverktyg. Produktionsplanering utförs oftast i ett eller två separata planeringssteg som innebär ett för sågprocessen respektive ett för tork och justering.

Making the work in the public sector more efficient is something that has been seen as necessary during the later years. One way to do this on municipal level has been to apply solutions former used mostly by private companies. The organisational parts have also been adjusted to existing conditions in this work of change. For example more and more municipalities have come to use the purchaser-supplier model since the beginning of the 1990's. Norrköping, Linköping and Motala have been chosen in this essay for a closer study of the effects of the changes of the 90's, from an efficiency point of view.

This is a study to see the relationship between earnings per share and dividends during a period of both boom and depression. The study will focus on companies listed on Stockholm stock exchange and see if they follow theories from the past and if the dividend is smooth over times with a fluctuant economy. To see this we had this problem:Is it a relationship between earnings per share and dividend during a fluctuant economy, also if there is a difference between the different Caps on Stockholm stock exchange?We studied 163 stocks of the 293 listed stock on Stockholm stock exchange during a period of 8 years. The study is focused on the time period between year 2005 and year 2012.
