Malassezia otitis in dogs is a common cause of visit to a veterinary service. In otitis externa due to Malassezia overgrowth the dog has a higher number of yeast organisms and/or a local inflammatory response to the micro organism. Common clinical signs include pruritus, erythema, swelling and increased exudate production. Clinical symptoms and results from cytology of ear swabs from the ear canal is the mainstay for diagnosis. Any underlying condition has to be identified and corrected to avoid relapse. The treatment options for infective otitis externa are based upon topical administration of eardrops containing antibiotics, steroids and antifungals.

ITT Water & Wastewater (ITT) är en ledande leverantör och tillverkare av dränkbara pumpar, luftare och omrörare. Examensarbetet fokuserar på pumpstationer för trycksatta avloppssystem. ITT vill genom detta få ett underlag för vidareutveckling av pumpstationerna Compit och Micro 7G, i syfte att göra dem mer konkurrenskraftiga. Målet med arbetet var att utreda vilka delar av pumpstationerna som är i behov av vidareutveckling och presentera förbättringar.Pumpstationer för trycksatta avlopp består av en pumpsump till vilken en självfallsledning ansluts. Avloppsvattnet pumpas vidare i en trycksatt ledning till det kommunala avloppet.

Dagens konkurrenssituation är hård eftersom konsumenternas preferenser ständigt förändras. Produktutveckling har därför blivit en av ett företags viktigaste framgångsfaktorer. Eftersom mer än 80% av kostnaderna är låsta redan i tillverkningsstadiet bör kostnadsreducering kreeras under produktens idé och designstadium. Target Costing är ett sätt att lyckas med kostnadsreducering. Det är främst stora tillverkningsföretag med höga kostnader för produktutveckling som använder hela Target Costing processen eller dess olika delar till att förbättra sin konkurrentsituation.

Wood has always been an important material for people, and it is used for many applications. As for example, fuel for cooking and heating houses, construction materials and for constructing means of transport. Since wood also is a material that with time biologically degrades due to activity by micro organisms and wood fungi it is important to find ways to protect and further lengthen the life span of the material when in service. One method is to decrease the amount of water in the material by impregnation with an hydrophobic oil. The Linotech method which uses only pure linseed oil is one such possible method. The aim of this study was to investigate the possibility to at the same time impregnate and stain/colour wood samples of pine and spruce by using the Linotech method.

Forskningen om familjeföretag är relativt omfattande. Men det finns fortfarande många frågor som är obesvarade. En viktig fråga som berör familjeföretags utveckling är viljan att ta in extern kompetens inom ekonomiområdet. Det kan röra sig om tjänster såsom ekonomichef, controller eller redovisningekonom. I detta arbete har vi försökt besvara frågan om varför ledningen i familjeföretag väljer att ta in extern kompetens inom ekonomi.

Bakgrund och problemdiskussion: Under 1980-talet uppkom stark kritik mot den dåvarandeekonomistyrningen. Detta renderade i att större vikt började läggas vid icke-finansiella måttoch att kunden hamnade allt mer i fokus. I takt med detta har intäktsdrivare, det vill sägafaktorer som påverkar intäkter, fått mer uppmärksamhet. I dagens hårt konkurrensutsattamarknader blir det för företagen viktigt att förstå intäktsdrivarnas roll, dess påverkan påintäkter och att kunna dra nytta av detta i sin verksamhet. "Food security is a situation that exists when all people, at all times, have physical and economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food that meets their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life" (FAO Summit, 2003, pp. 28).Food insecurity is of concern regarding the Republic of Mauritius (ROM) since it is defined as a net food importing country. (Farming news, 2008). The impacts of climate change followed by their complexity could potentially have an increased risk effect upon the social and environmental welfare as well as the economic drivers in the ROM (www, UNESCO1, 2009). The primary victims when it comes to the impacts of climate change are the Mauritian agricultural producers since agriculture is highly dependent on climate stability, therefore affecting the yields of the producers.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate how well vision and strategies communicates from division level to underlying business unit levels with focus on the Balanced Scorecard Concept. The investigation was carried out within the ANS division and two of its underlying business units at the LFV Group (Swedish Airports and Air Navigation Services). ANS is responsible for the air navigation services in Sweden and the production of the services is carried out of the business units AER (En Route) and ATA (Tower and Approach). With Air Navigation Services means supervision and conducting air traffic mainly within national air space. The purpose of the services is to insure that air traffic could be carried out in a safe way.The Balanced Scorecard was introduced for the first time in the beginning of the 1990´s.

It is important that the current urine separating systems are evaluated to allow improvements to be made and consequently increase their future propagation. In order to increase the knowledge about urine separating systems this study was made. It included, among other things, measurements of amounts of urine as well as of the composition of urine collected at Nytorgsgatan 4 in the city of Hallsberg. The study was increased after an inquiry that also included the district of Understenshöjden in the city of Stockholm. In the inquiry, the users were asked questions about odour, cleaning of toilets and occurrence of blockages in the urine water locks etc.

Gelen är placerad i en spruta som innehåller en gummikolv som är i kontakt med gelen.Idag används allt mer polymera material för olika tillämpningar, bland annat som medicintekniska produkter och läkemedelsförpackningar i läkemedelsbranschen. Q-Meds produkter betraktas som medicintekniska produkter på många marknader. Medicintekniska produkter och läkemedelsförpackningar innehåller ofta material som består av polymerer, exempelvis gummi och plast. På dessa material ställs olika krav så att dessa inte kontaminerar den produkt de är i kontakt med, då detta kan leda till olika negativa konsekvenser, exempelvis toxiska reaktioner i kroppen eller sänkt effektivitet hos läkemedlet/produkten.

A good power quality can be an important prerequisite to achieve a sustainable society. Scandinavia's electrical system is in many respects superior, and Sweden has a fossil free electricity generation at 97 % and a reliability of electricity distribution at 99.98 %. Meanwhile, the EU has an ambition to expand the electricity market in order to achieve a joint trading business across Europe. This cross-border market will result in a large proportion of fossil energy sources integrated into our electrical system, which also leads to an increased need for renewable electricity production in Sweden. One part of this development is to increase the share of renewable micro generation that is locally or regionally connected to the power grid.
