Barn bedöms i skolan och det görs via betygen. Alla barn är olika individer, har olika lärstilar, bakgrund och erfarenheter. Trots det ska alla följa samma mål i skolan. Elever som inte lyckas uppnå målen tenderar att bli föremål för åtgärder. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka den organisatoriska och praktiska utformningen av det individuella programmet och hur det upplevs av lärare och elever.

The aim of this exam is about possibility to position a didactical theory of Curriculum for compulsory school, preschool class and the leisure-time centre 2011 (Lgr11). I use Michael Foucault?s discourse analysis to study the syllabuses for social sciences subjects History and Religion. The main theme is to seek what kind of world does these two social study subjects construct for students in high school. The point of using Foucault?s discourse is to seek specific knowledge and words which is used for power positioning.

The master's thesis investigates how the concept traditional knowledge is represented by international organizations that are influential in development work and policy making. Departing from a theoretical framework drawing on Michel Foucault, constructed aspects of knowledge and the power relations knowledge production implies are highlighted.A recent interest within library and information science and practice to document this kind of knowledge raises questions about how traditional knowledge differs from other forms of knowledge and how knowledge organizational tools can be applied. Investigations, which critically explore the concept traditional knowledge, the power relations the concept creates as well as the interests and purposes it serves, have been surprisingly absent within the discipline. The focus in this master's thesis is how traditional knowledge is conceptualized by international organizations. A discourse analytical approach reveals the power relations that are inherent in their descriptions of traditional knowledge and how they describe the relevance of the concept for their work.

Uppsatsen syftar till att lyfta fram och problematisera kriminalvårdens straffutveckling de senaste 35 åren i förhållande till den rådande politiska regimen. Vidare är syftet att lyfta fram yrkesverksammas uppfattning om straffet och dess utveckling, samt den politiska regimens effekter på kriminalvården. För att svara på syftet har en litteraturstudie gjorts, men även kvalitativ metod har tillämpats genom djupintervjuer. För den teoretiska referensramen tillämpas filosofen Michel Foucault och sociologen Emile Durkheims teorier. Dessa skildrar straffets utveckling från de mest brutala tortyrmetoderna till dagens mer humana kriminalvård.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera konstprojektet och bloggen ?Post A Secret? utifrån ett bekännelseperspektiv i allmänhet och ?Post A Secret? som en ny typ av bekännelse i synnerhet. Projektet baseras på att individer anonymt skriver ner en hemlighet på ett egenhändigt gjorda vykort och skickar in till skaparen Frank Warren som publicerar dem på hemsidan. Den tidigare forskningen behandlar två övergripande teman; bekännelse och Internet. There is respect for the history of dance and my aim is to find out how the history affects the dancing youth today. The design of the dance lesson is often of a traditional stereotypical manner, both didactic and methodic, and it rarely appears to be questioned. I have danced for almost 20 years and I am a part of this tradition of movements, music, language and way of ?being?. My ambition with this study is to go outside my own experience and offer insight and an overall picture of a, for the outsider, closed world.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how power structures concerning gender and sexuality emerge through the use of language in the Swedish reality show Paradise Hotel. Of particular interest is the representation of heterosexual relations in the show. Because of its interest in the relationship between power, gender and sexuality, the thesis is based on theories from gender and discourse studies. The specific theories referred to are Michel Foucault?s understanding of power, stereotypes according to Stuart Hall, Yvonne Hirdman?s gender system and contract theory, Judith Butler?s heterosexual matrix and R.W.

This thesis examines the way that subversivity is produced in relation to the name of the author, as understood by Foucault, and what potential for ressistance that can be glimpsed there. Syftet med denna studie är att studera pedagogers styrningsstrategier i förhållande till barns lek. Vår ambition med studien var att problematisera de styrningsstrategier som framkom i en förskolas praktik. Forskningsfrågorna som låg till grund för studien var:Vilka styrningsstrategier i relation till barns lek är framträdande i en förskolas praktik?Hur kan pedagogers styrningsstrategier problematiseras utifrån barns lek?För att uppnå syftet och besvara forskningsfrågorna valde vi att göra ett strategiskt urval gällande studiens omfattning och antal deltagande. Undersökningen genomfördes på en förskola vid flera tillfällen genom videodokumentation.

In this paper Mona Hatoums installation Corps étranger is discussed via a post structuralized method based on associative and semiotic comparisons with vanitas, a post-modern self-portrait, and as a representative for modern visual art. The analyze touches upon pornography, science fiction and the quest for scientific conquest in outer and inner space. Theoretical references are Foucault, Freud, Lacan, Barthes, Dolar, Said and Virilio. Hatoum makes the observer a voyageur with the aid of the latest medical technology, endoscope, which gives her the opportunity to make an introvert self-portrait when she films her own throat and rectum. But at the same time she makes the portrait of us all.

This study titled School Model of Norrberga- a New Model of School. Some opinions that six pupils in the sixth grade have of their school is an explorative study. The purpose of this study is to some extent explain the ideas behind this quite spectacular model of school and the intentions of the City Council of Norrberga as they decided that all the schools that were to be renovated or built in the town of Norrberga had to follow a specific script.   As I first visited The Moonlight School I was puzzled. How do the teachers work it out? But, above all: Do the pupils work it out? What do they think about their school? When I was to write my final essay I wanted to try to sort this school out in more scientific terms. There is a nice, warm atmosphere at the school and the pupils make good results.

The purpose of my study is to highlight how children at preschool are affected by adult?s awareness of norms and interpretations of masculinity and femininity. The essay shows examples of boys? and girls´ expectations of each other and the preconceived notions of what boys and girls should or can do, and how we pedagogues relate to this matter. One example is about an encounter with a mother, where we have different opinions about her son´s wishes to be Lucia instead of Santa Claus.

This study aims to delineate the discourse of the canonical issue of the defectus natalium, the defect of birth, ascribed to medieval Catholic clergy of illegitimate birth, which prevented ordination to the Holy Orders or advancement to higher monastic offices. Using papal dispensations directed to Swedish clerics, monks and nuns during the period 1255-1372, the essay attempts to outline the official attitude of the papal authority towards illegitimate birth among its servants and how such a defect could be compensated by the individual. The study argues that various circumstances and personal qualities could be addressed to support the case of the supplicant. The main themes include an observance of clerical celibacy, scholarly learning, pilgrimage permeated by hardship, intervention of a third party, loyalty to the Church and overall practical circumstances that demanded a dispensation for the benefit of the ecclesiastical institutions. Drawing some inspiration from Michel Foucault?s conception of discourse, the essay argues that a polarizing discourse had by the 13th century been formed within the Catholic Church, which focused on a dichotomy of the legitimate and illegitimate cleric.
