The aim of this thesis is to examine how personnel working with asylum cases at the Swedish Migration Board handle their role as administrators of asylum. For the study 7 asylum administrators were interviewed and the analysis was made with influence from the method critical discourse analysis. To understand the themes in the analysis I have used Michael Lipskys theory about street-level bureaucrats. Main results from the analysis of the interviews were that the street-level bureaucrats had certain strategies for managing the difficult aspects of the job. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur socialsekreterare upplever att makt synliggörs och hanteras i mötet med klienter som är aktuella i placeringsärenden. Intervjuer med fyra socialsekreterare inom arbetsgruppen barn och unga genomfördes. Vi har använt oss av hermeneutik som forskningsmetod och har analyserat resultatet utifrån Michael Foucaults teori om makt. Vår studie visar på att socialsekreterare har ett ambivalent förhållningssätt till makt samt att deras maktutövning ofta utgår från lagstiftningen. Vi har även kunnat påvisa att socialsekreterarna använder sig av omedvetna strategier för att hantera maktobalansen i mötet med klienter..

Vår undersökning var en dokumentanalys av Sveriges tjugo största börsnoterade företag och dess retorik kring corporate social responsibility (CSR). Genom att använda Porter och Kramers teori om strategisk CSR har vi därefter undersökt hur retoriken kring företagens CSR arbete har förts kring frågor som behandlar strategisk alternativt kosmetisk CSR. Genom att kontrollera hur dessa företag valt att föra fram sitt CSR arbete i årsredovisningar och CSR rapporter har vi dragit slutsatsen att det finns mycket arbete kvar att göra för majoriteten av företagen.

A positive aspect of globalization, from a western viewpoint, is the growing demand of advanced products in China and other developing countries. The construction industry is thriving in China and Swedish companies have taken part in various projects. However the situation have been difficult for some of the companies. The aim of this study is therefore to investigate how strategic and cultural factors affect the potential for Swedish companies to operate on the Chinese construction market. The theoretical framework of the study consists of Porter?s and Kotler?s theories about strategy, and Hofstede?s, Bjerke?s, and Daun?s research about different cultures.

FYROM has a long tradition of producing wine. Wine production in FYROM is one of the greatest contributors of the agricultural share of their GDP. The purpose of this essay is to examine the everyday beliefs about mental illness surrounding the disease and how these are expressed and affects the sick life and identity. The focus is on the sick perspective, where a concept of norms, normalization and taboo forms a basis in the use of materials, which here consists of qualitative interviews and Internet forums.
