I artiklar skrivs det om att ny teknik såsom Web services kan medföra t ex förändringar i processer och sättet att överföra och hantera data. Web services anses av många vara en lösning på integrationsproblem som uppstår när data finns i olika system som inte kommunicerar med varandra. Vi som systemvetare anser att vår studie bidrar till att belysa andra aspekter än de tekniska när det gäller Web services. Vi har studerat organisatoriska konsekvenser av införandet av Web services. Studien kan inte fastställa att Web services är en bra teknik generellt för att integrera system.

Studien tog sin utgångspunkt i att äldre som möter äldreomsorgen idag är en alltmer heterogen grupp i fråga om livsstil och sexuell identitet. Trots att även gruppen äldre HBTQ- personer (homo, bi, trans, queer) är heterogen så visar forskning på att det inom gruppen finns särskilda behov när det kommer till vård och omsorg. Gruppen delar erfarenheter av att växa upp i ett homofientligt samhälle, där homosexualitet har varit både olagligt och klassat som en psykisk sjukdom. Många har upplevelser av diskriminering grundad på sexuell läggning i kontakten med vård och omsorg, erfarenheter som kan komma att påverka vidare kontakt med sektorn och därmed känslor inför äldreomsorgen. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur förutsättningarna ser ut för ett integrerat HBTQ-perspektiv i äldreomsorgen genom att: 1) studera samverkan och styrning i implementeringsprocessen och 2) urskilja förutsättningar, attityder och värderingar hos tillämparna som har potential att påverka implementeringen.

Goal: To describe which evaluation method is used by Swedish retailers to assess a potential retail location and to describe to what extent the retail brand effects this strategic decision. Design: Analysis of ten interviews with companies within five retail sectors in Sweden. Main study: Indication of what methods are used to evaluate a location and how a company's retail brand affects the decision. Results: Retailers use a mix of theoretical methods to evaluate the location attributes and possible profit. Most common among mixtures was an application of the analog method, residual method or the checklist method in combination with a financial assessment.

The eutrophication of inshore seas, lakes and watercourses is mainly due to leaching of nitrogen and phosphorus (P) from agriculture. Many efforts are made to reduce the lea-kage of phosphorus in Sweden and the Baltic Sea countries. Phosphorus is also a finite resource and the mining of good quality raw material gets more and more difficult. Se-dimentation dams in combination with filters is one relatively new method to separate P from run-off and drainage water from agricultural land. This study was a part of an IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute?s project which tests the capacity and func-tion for separation of phosphorus in four phosphorus filters.

Jordbrukets miljöpåverkan genom diffusa läckage och transport av näringsämnen är ett problem som det arbetas aktivt med på nationell, regional och lokal nivå. I Sverige beräknas jordbruket stå för 43 % av de totala kväveutsläppen samt 44 % av de totala fosforutsläppen. Stor del av dessa utsläpp transporteras till havet där de bidrar till övergödning och algblomning. Östersjön är det hav som får ta emot utsläppen då de transporteras hit med floder, åar och grundvatten. In this work an assessment of the compressed air system in the facilities of Vattenfall Heat Uppsala has been conducted. The facilities constitutes, among others, a combined heat and power plant, and two waste incineration plants. The compressed air is supplied primarily by seven rotary screw compressors and yearly electric energy consumption in these has been determined. Furthermore, the usage of compressed air has been mapped in order to find processes with energy savings potential. Several suggestions how to reduce the usage of compressed air have been presented, resulting in decreased need of electric energy and reduced CO2-emissions.The results show that total need of electric energy in the compressors, during a standard production year, amounts to 5.83 GWh.

In our study we aim to explain the importance of how meaning is built in to sociomaterial compositions. By analyzing comment fields hosted by a Swedish IT-journal we illustrate how what is being said interplays with the technological platform in various ways.

IT används idag flitigt inom offentlig sjukvård. Detta innebär dock inte att man använder ITtill sin fulla potential för att skapa nytta inom verksamheten. I sjukvården lyfter man framdetta problem under den så kallade produktivitetsparadoxen, som ställer frågan varförtidigare omfattande investeringar i IT till synes inte genererat de produktivitetsökningarsom man ursprungligen hade förväntat sig. Utvecklingsarbete pågår för närvarande medmål om att förbättra kvalitet och effektivitet i den offentliga sjukvårdens processer fram till2010. Detta visar tydliga tecken på ett behov av att implementera IT effektivt så att mankan öka verksamhetens produktivitet.Syftet med den här studien var därmed att ge en inblick i offentlig sjukvård för att ta redapå hur väl man lyckats implementera IT-relaterade förändringar och innovationer samtvilka utmaningar som finns.
