With growing economies and better living standards in many parts of the world today, there is a need of expanding the capacity of generating electricity. The alternatives for renewable energy technologies are not fully developed and have still some problems to conquer.The company Minesto has developed a technology that is called Deep Green. It is designed to gain electricity from tidal currents. Deep Green works in a similar way as a kite that is attached to the seafloor with a moving wire. It contains of a wing that moves due to the water current.

To design new and high tech products the engineers rely more and more on computer based simulations to investigate the properties and behavior for a component or system.To verify these computer based simulations the dynamic properties for the components of the drivetrain needs to be verified. Therefore measurements of the stiffness and vibrations for the rear axle has been performed. This report show how the measurements has been implemented and evaluated, along with some interesting results for the rear axles properties.The static stiffness for the drive shaft along with the axle-gear has been determined. It is found that the stiffness for the whole rear axle is near the stiffness for the drive shaft, which means that the drive shaft becomes the dominant component of the system and affects the rear axle stiffness the most. The measured stiffness of the driveshaft is close to its theoretical stiffness.The stiffness for solely the hypoid-gear have been calculated using the stiffness for the rear axle and driveshaft, and thus has a range for the stiffness of the hypoid gear been determined.The backlash for the whole rear axle and for some individual components has been determined, where the backlash between pinion and crown-wheel has negligible impact on the total backlash.Measurements of the crown-wheel and pinion movements have been conducted, where the direction of movement is consistent with the theoretical direction of the forces.The vibration measurements show that the vibrations are more severe at certain rotational speeds.

This thesis describes teh solution of two problems regarding safety on powered lawnmowers; protectning the users from injury when using the lawnmower in slopes, and when cleaning the cutting blade.The task was carried out through initial studies on a representative lawnmower. A generation of ideas followed with an evaluation to select the best solution. The winning concept was further developed to reach acceptable performance. The word resulted in a functioning prototype utilising an original way of detecting inclinations without incorrect signals. I Sverige insjuknar cirka 450 kvinnor årligen i livmoderhalscancer varav cirka 150 dör till följd av sjukdomen. Humant Papillomvirus (HPV) är den främsta orsaken till utvecklingen av livmoderhalscancer. Cytostatika används som en behandlingsmetod som syftar till att skada tumören och eventuellt göra den känsligare för en eventuell strålbehandling. Att genomgå cytostatikabehandling för livmoderhalscancer är en krävande period.SyfteAtt belysa hur sjuksköterskan kan ge stöd för kvinnors upplevelse av en god livskvalitet när de genomgår cytostatikabehandling mot livmoderhalscancer.MetodStudien består av en litteraturöversikt med sökningar gjorda i databaserna PubMed och Cinahl.

Sökord som används både separat och tillsammans inom samtliga databaser var health facility, environment, architecture, design, art, surroundings, ward, garden, välbefinnande/well-being, hospital, health, light, noise. Med sökmotorer har vi sökt på nämnda sökord och namn på olika forskare, samt MeSH- sökverktyg för översättning av svenska ord till engelska.

I dagens läge har energifrågorna väckt ett stort intresse i samhället. Nu fokuseras det mer på att bygga energisnålare hus. En betydande faktor som påverkar energiförbrukningen i våra hus är köldbryggor. De uppstår då ett material med dålig värmeisolering bryter igenom ett material med bättre värmeisolering. Lining techniques such as nap bonding and mist lining were developed in the late 20th century and have gained popularity alongside with the increased use of acrylic emulsions as adhesives. The ability of the adhesive to create a nap bond to the canvases without penetrating the fibers has shown advantages regarding reversibility. In addition, the use of moisture, heat and pressure is reduced, which can be advantageous for more sensitive paintings. These lining techniques have been included in several studies where reversibility, minimal intervention and respect for the individual requirements and problems of each object have been the focus. The adaptability of the methods has been confirmed and to further explore the adaptability, this study consists of three simpler application techniques with the adhesive Lascaux 303 HV on mockups.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka Ängöskolans tid som baltiskt flyktingläger i Kalmar under den tidiga efterkrigstiden. I arbetet med uppsatsen har jag studerat listan över inskrivningsliggare som redogör för antalet registrerade flyktingar på Ängöförläggningen i Kalmar med avseende till ålder, kön, yrke/klass, civilstånd och generation. I målet att besvara hur Kalmars flyktingverksamhet organiserades och dess roll som arbetsinstitution har främst inkommande skrivelser samt intendentens skrivelser i form av brev studerats. Jag har även jämfört mina resultat med Kalmar hjälpkommittés verksamhet för judiska flyktingar och Skånes baltiska flyktingmottagning och arbetsmarknadspolitiska åtgärder under den tidiga efterkrigstiden..

A good power quality can be an important prerequisite to achieve a sustainable society. Scandinavia's electrical system is in many respects superior, and Sweden has a fossil free electricity generation at 97 % and a reliability of electricity distribution at 99.98 %. Meanwhile, the EU has an ambition to expand the electricity market in order to achieve a joint trading business across Europe. This cross-border market will result in a large proportion of fossil energy sources integrated into our electrical system, which also leads to an increased need for renewable electricity production in Sweden. One part of this development is to increase the share of renewable micro generation that is locally or regionally connected to the power grid.

I denna designpedagogiska undersökning behandlar jag frågeställningen: Vad händer i mötet mellan olika generationer när man använder det textila handarbetet som en social plattform där kunskap förmedlas? Med underfrågorna: Vilken roll spelar handarbetet i mötet mellan generationer? Hur påverkar skillnader i förhållningssätt till handarbetet mötet mellan generationer? Syftet med min undersökning är att undersöka handarbetets möjlighet att skapa en social plattform där generationer kan mötas. Jag undrar om det går att synliggöra och tillgängliggöra en äldre generation och dess kunskap för en yngre generation.Undersökningen består av två träffar där en grupp äldre kvinnor träffas tillsammans med en grupp yngre kvinnor för att handarbeta. Det finns i och med träffarna även en uttalad önskan om förmedling av handarbetskunskap. Både de äldre och de yngre deltagarna har medverkat utifrån ett eget intresse och initiativ.
