Det könade handledarskapet
The aim of this study is to research images of the academic world that is presented, incorporated and reproduced within the frames of the Mentorship in the basic level. Can these images derive to the view upon science as a traditionally male area? Is Mentorship gendered? Can the Mentorship on the basic level be viewed upon as a milestone of a academic career where men and women have different opportunities to succeed?By interviewing seven mentors, working in a social sciences institution in a larger Swedish university, I have come to the conclusion that knowledge is coded male and that this affect mentors mental images of what male and female students are expected to do. The male student represent the scientist, while the female student represent what the scientist is not.Depending on the work of, among others, Kerstin Norlander, Dorothy Smith and Eva Erson I have come to view upon the university as a patriarchal organisation witch produces knowledge based upon male values, experiences and concepts. This precludes the female within this organisation from relating to the knowledge she is supposed to incorporate.

With an attractive trainee program company?s today hope to attract young devoted people. In the frame of a trainee program, there has been a special focus on a formal Mentorship in an effort to develop characteristics with the mentor and protégé. Therefore this study discusses the subject Mentorship in trainee programs. Which characteristics are affected with the mentor and protégé during a mentor relationship in a trainee program? The aim of the study is to create an awareness and knowledge of the mentor and the protégés understanding of which characteristics are affected in a Mentorship relation after a completed trainee program.
Mentorers betydelse, funktion och nytta för elever i gymnasieskolan : En narrativ studie kring mentorer och mentorskap utifrån ett elevperspektiv
The study describes six upper secondary school students? thoughts of and stories about mentors and Mentorship in secondary school. The Mentorship has been studied with a hermeneutic approach from a narrative pupil relational perspective, which is influenced by the phenomenological humanity perspective. The aim of this study is to describe a few pupils? life worlds and to try to interpret how they describe and explain their own behavior related to Mentorship and their mentors.

This bachelor thesis is intended to point out differences within the supervisors? role and contribute in making the role more attractive. At present the information about how the supervisors? perspective varies on the supervisors? role and the introduction to it depending on work experience and education is unknown. Further it was investigated why the supervisors? role is seen as an entrance to the building industry and how to develop the role to encourage the supervisors to stay longer within it.In the collection of data we have been interviewing supervisors and studying literature.

The profit a company makes is dependant of its employees which means that their competence is important for the company to perform well. The middle manager has a central position in the organization and is expected to take on different roles. This probably puts a lot of demands on the middle managers and their competence. We want to contribute with a comprehension of how learning, competence and needs for competence can look at a middle management level. Furthermore we also want to find out what kind of strategy for competence development the middle managers want the company to use so their competence development can be facilitated.
En genomtänkt introduktion : En studie om vilka faktorer och metoder som påverkar introduktionen av nyanställda på företag
The master thesis has been constructed together with Scania, who had a wish to develop their training for newly employed design engineers. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how a company's introduction process can be shaped, as the introduction is the key to success for the individual as well as the organization. With a focus on how the productivity among newly employees can increase and how the introduction becomes meaningful to the individuals and the organization, the objective of this work is to develop concepts applicable for an introduction.The work was conducted using qualitative interviews with several different individuals at Scania and other companies. Along with the interviews a survey was constructed and sent out to newly employed design engineers at Scania to get a view of their opinions on the present training. During the first period of a job there are several factors that affect the employee based on the result from the interviews, previous research and theories.
Knowledge Management -lärprocesser över gränser
Background: To be better able to meet the new competition, companies are seeking new competitive advantages, wich is forcing them to review and, in time, change both working methods and corporate structures. This has led to an increased interest in the development of strategies within the field of Knowledge Management. Objective: The objective of this thesis is to improve understanding of how learning in a company occurs over internal boundaries and to investigate whether individuals need to be motivated in this regard. We also aim to give recommendations as to how this can be developed. Furthermore, we will work out a model that explains the learning process.
Handlingsbarheten hos informationssystem : en fallstudie av SJ:s bokningssystem
Sweden is known to be one of the world?s most equal countries. Nevertheless, out of Sweden?s 262 listed companies, only seven of them has a female president, which is equal to 3,4 percent. To counteract these numbers there are several possibilities. One arrangement that is highly controversial is affirmative actions. But there are other options, for instance more and more female networks are starting to rise and many of them also offers a mentoring program where the mentee gets the opportunity to learn from someone with more experience.The purpose of this study is to examine what difference the female network Q80, with focus on its mentoring program, is doing for the mentee. As an underlying purpose the study is also examining what visions and attitudes the management and the mentors is communicating within Q80. The focus is mainly on the visions of Q80, menas mentors and business exceeding Mentorship. A survey has been carried out among mentees from three different seats of mentoring programs where they have answered 19 different questions regarding their time as a mentee. Furthermore interviews have taken place with the management of Q80 and two mentors. The results are analyzed based on theories about gender, women in management, leadership, mentoring program and organizational structure. The result shows that Q80i as a source of inspiration and a support for the category of "career women" with its core mission to strengthen the participation of individuals on a personal level more than to work to even out the gap in the Swedish labor market.
Utbildning inom restaurangkök : I skola eller med mentor-lärlingskap
SammanfattningBakgrund: Dagens skola lägger ner mycket tid på teoretisk lärande på gymnasie- och högskolenivå. Förr gick man mentor-lärlingsutbildningar som nästan bara gav praktisk utbildning. Idag är vi nu på väg in i en ny gymnasiereform där mentor-lärlingssituationer är på väg tillbaka tillbaka in i den svenska gymnasieskolan.Syfte: Syftet med arbetet är att studera två utbildningsmodeller som finns för restaurangvärlden.Metod och material: Fyra intervjuer genomfördes till denna studie med svenska nuvarande/före detta köksmästare på fine dining-restauranger. Dessa intervjuer var utformade efter metoden halvstrukturerade intervjuer.Resultat: Det viktiga om man går en utbildning eller mentor-lärlingssituationer att man har har intresset, viljan och motivationen. För att nå de högre positionerna i ett restaurangkök är det viktigt att du gått någon form av utbildning.Diskussion: Utbildning värderas högt i dagens samhälle men i restaurangvärlden kan det anses att bara för att man har något, skrivet på papper överensstämmer det inte alltid med den egentliga kunskapen personen besitter.Slutsats: Som kock i framtiden måste man kunna erbjuda ett ?paketerbjudande?.

Specialistsjuksköterskans uppfattning av mentorskap. : En fallstudie med fenomenografisk ansats
AbstraktBakgrund: Det råder idag en brist på specialistutbildade sjuksköterskor, och många avslutar sin yrkeskarriär inom hälso- och sjukvården p.g.a. ökade stressnivåer. Ett sätt att komma tillrätta med detta kan vara att använda mentorskap för den nyutexaminerade. Det är därför nödvändigt att klarlägga vilka förutsättningar som krävs och även undersöka hur den nyutexaminerade specialistsjuksköterskan synes utvecklas genom mentorskap.Syfte: Syftet med studien är att utifrån den erfarna specialistsjuksköterskans uppfattning beskriva om och hur mentorskapet synes utveckla den nyutexaminerade specialistsjuksköterskan, och vilka förutsättningar som upplevs viktiga för detta mentorskap.Metod: En fallstudie medelst en djupintervju genomfördes med en fenomenografisk ansats, för att få fram den uppfattning av mentorskap som föreligger hos den erfarna specialistsjuksköterskan.Resultat: I resultatet framkommer vikten av att verksamhetsansvariga erbjuder nödvändiga förutsättningar i form av tid, utbildning och kompetens. Genom en ökad socialisering stärks yrkesprofessionen, samtidigt som en lärande miljö skapas i den gemensamma reflektionen.Konklusion: Erfarna specialistsjuksköterskor kan medverka till att den nyutexaminerade på ett så effektivt sätt som möjligt ges möjlighet att både formulera sin nya yrkesprofession och medverka till den socialisering som krävs för att komma in i arbetsgruppen.
Cefskap och familjeliv - en kvalitativ studie om kvinnliga chefer i socialt arbete
This essay is a qualitative study whose aim is to see how to find a good balance between family life and managership. The result could give concrete proposals on how help can be designed to prospective female managers. The study is based on interviews with eight female managers. The interviews have been inspired by the narrative approach with the focus on how these women have tried to find a balance between management and family life and which obstacles they faced and the support they have had. The results of the study has shown that the support that the woman has been given by their spouse / partner has been one of the best and most important support for her to full fill her mission as being a manager as well as a mother.
Handledarens yrkeskunnande : Modell och verklighet
Denna uppsats tar sin utgångspunkt i frågeställningar som berör handledarens yrkeskunnande. Benämningen handledare syftar i detta fall på lärare som är VFU-handledare för lärarstudenter eller mentorer för nyutexaminerade lärare. VFU och introduktionsår för nya lärare befinner sig i gränsområdet mellan utbildning och yrkespraktik. Vilka är de kritiska punkterna i handledarrollen? Är det möjligt att följa en modell och vad fungerar i verkligheten? Vilka områden och frågeställningar är relevanta för blivande handledare? Hur kan man utbilda för att kunna hantera dessa områden?Det empiriska material som ingår i denna uppsats har bland annat arbetats fram med hjälp av dialogseminariemetoden.
Nyutexaminerade intensivvårdssjuksköterskors erfarenheter av ett mentorprogram : - En intervjustudie
Bakgrund: Intensivvård innebär att förebygga och behandla hotande eller manifest svikt i ett eller flera organsystem hos svårt sjuka patienter. När den nyutexaminerade intensivvårdssjuksköterskan påbörjar sitt arbete på en intensivvårdsavdelning inleds en övergångsperiod. Denna kan pågå upp till två år och är en kritisk period där den nyanställda sjuksköterskan kan känna sig stressad och överväldigad. Mentorskap är en form av handledning där mentorn bland annat agerar som guide och förebild och tillhandahåller kunskap och råd inför den nya rollen. För drygt två år sedan påbörjades ett mentorprogram på en intensivvårdsavdelning i en storstadsregion i Sverige.
