The scope of this investigation is the conditions under which readings of Repulsion (1965), and its depicted mental illness, took place in Sweden during the censorship debates in 1965, and also how the reception was related to narration and subjectivity in the film. The reason for this is the strong reactions to the images of the main character?s inner state, and concerns about negative effects in the public, that were raised. One major concern is how the film articulates discourses through which meanings are produced; that is, how it works as social technology. My thesis is therefore structured around two levels; textual analysis and discourse analysis.

Early contact with both parents is important for children and it is important to reach out to both mothers and fathers through parental education groups. Parent education program for fathers can lead to more fathers taking parental leave and becoming more involved in the care of their children. A lot of men lack support from the community after the birth of their child. The aim of this study was to illustrate district nurses? experiences of meeting first-time fathers.

The aim of this study is to describe and understand the reasons to why people choose to become foster parents. By using the theory of action we wanted to investigate their intentions rather than their motives. The questions we wanted to answer where: How do the foster parents describe their reasons for becoming a foster home? What reasons do they give fore keeping on being foster parents? How do they comprehend their task and the fulfilling of it? The study was performed by utilizing qualitative interviews with five foster parents, four women and one man. In the analysis we used the theory of action as a theoretical perspective.

Syftet med denna studie är att utifrån sociokulturellt perspektiv, utforska hur tre musikpedagoger beskriver att de använder sig av mentala träningsmetoder i sin undervisning. Vilka mentala träningsmetoder beskriver tre musikpedagoger att de använder sig av i sin undervisning? På vilka sätt beskrivs dessa metoder komma till användning?Studiens data har samlats in genom kvalitativa intervjuer med tre yrkesverksamma musikpedagoger som använder sig av mental träning på varierade sätt i sin pedagogiska verksamhet. I resultatet framkommer att ju mer utbildning i mental träning musikpedagogerna har, desto tydligare och mer uttalad strategi beskriver de. De beskrivna strategierna betraktas som generaliserbara lärandehjälpmedel som utgår från en grundidé.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien är att undersöka förekomst, hantering och upplevda orsaker till mentala blockeringar inom kvinnlig truppgymnastik på nationell ungdoms- och juniornivå.? Vilken typ av övning är den vanligaste mentala blockeringen inom kvinnlig truppgymnastik?? Hur visar sig blockeringarna enligt gymnasterna och tränarna?? Vilka orsaker till uppkomsten av mentala blockeringar kan utläsas utifrån gymnasterna och tränarnas berättelser?? På vilka sätt har gymnaster och tränare försökt hantera mentala blockeringar?MetodStudien inleddes med en litteratursökning för att finna tidigare forskning. Därefter utformades en enkät i två versioner (för tränare och gymnaster) och dessa delades ut till gymnaster och tränare på nationell ungdoms- och juniornivå i sex olika föreningar. Gymnasterna valdes efter tränings- och tävlingsnivå och har en medelålder på 14 år.ResultatResultatet visade att mentala blockeringar är ett mycket vanligt fenomen inom truppgymnastiken och något som majoriteten av gymnasterna någon gång drabbats av. Blockeringarna visar sig ofta genom att gymnasten vägrar eller helt utesluter övningen ur sin träning och blockeringarna är vanligast i grenen tumbling.

The environmental monitoring in Sweden has been developed by several different parties and is now being coordinated and made more effective in order to meet the current demands on high quality information regarding the state of the environment. Sweden has been divided into five different water districts based on watershed areas because of requirements in the Water Directive of the EU. In Sweden there are two common types of environmental monitoring programs used to gather information on changes in time and in space. Currently both these two types are used for lakes in the water district of the western sea but only one is used for watersheds. The purpose of this report is to supply basic information regarding the possible need for a second environmental monitoring program for watersheds in order to better describe the spatial variation within the district as well as to determine the number of samples necessary in order to describe the district over time and space.

This essay investigates how the chapters of the interwar and the Second World War have changed in the high school history textbooks during the period from 1944 to 2008. In the study eleven history textbooks have been studied, most quantitatively but also qualitatively. For example the number of pages and rows devoted to different subjects and countries are compared in the books over time. The result of the study shows that there are some big changes over time but in most sections there are also big differences between the books, which make it harder to draw general conclusions. There are a lot more names, pictures and dates in the newer books compared to the older ones, although the number of different names is about the same in all the books.

The focus of this two year master?s thesis in Library- and Information science is the study of two Swedish Public Library buildings with the examples Lomma and Halmstad. The main goal and purpose of the thesis is to try to uncover which views and values of the public library are expressed in the examined libraries; and to what extent these views manifests are shown in its architecture.The theoretical framework is based on Raymond Williams?s cultural concepts of effective, dominant culture and the two extremities of this culture, called residual and emergent cultures. Grundläggande mental träning som består av olika avslappnings- och meditationsövningar är en effektiv metod när det gäller att förebygga och motverka stress samt återhämta sig. En del av den mentala träningen handlar om att visualisera, vilket innebär att man föreställer sig en inre bild eller situation av något som är stärkande för sig själv. Det kan vara att se sig själv lyckas i en situation man har framför sig. Med vår studie avser vi att undersöka hur visualiseringen tillämpas bland poliser på ordningsavdelningar.

Background:Patients with mental disabilities are more prone to somatic illnesses than the general public. Unhealthier lifestyles and side effects of medication might be causes of conditions that lead to diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and premature death. According to the Social Board patients with mental disabilities receive poorer treatment than patients with only somatic diagnosis.Aim:The aim of the study was to describe nurses' experiences to identify, assess and manage somatic symptoms and problems within the psychiatric care.Method:The study is based on interviews with 12 nurses working in psychiatric outpatient and inpatient care. A qualitative content analysis was chosen.Result:The nurses performed nursing through talking, blood sampling and measuring for example blood pressure. They followed up side effects of medication.

The purpose of this thesis is to identify power structures and instruments of power within the Jehovah?s witnesses and investigate how they affect the baptized youths baptized within the organization. The material consists of qualitative in-depth interviews and is analyzed with Foucault's theories of power. The results show that the participants have a very strict relationship to the rules of the congregation and also that they take great care in observing these rules carefully. It becomes evident that young members are exposed to disciplinary measures from the organization.

The atypical employment is characterized by insecurity in comparison with a traditional permanent full- time employment. Rapporten fokuserar på hållbar stadsplanering i form avkommunikation, rörelse och integration vid utformning och planering avstadsdelar, samt det faktum att det finns digitala verktyg som inte utnyttjasregelbundet i det dagliga arbetet.I samspel med Borås Stad har en analys gällande arbetsmetoder vid stadsplaneringgenomförts. Begreppen kommunikation, rörelse och integration diskuteras ochanalyseras i relation till kommunens arbete. Syftet är att formulera och pröva enarbetsmodell som kan vara vägledande inom arbetet med hållbar stadsplanering.Målet är undersöka om det finns grund för introducering av digitala verktyg somstrategi i kommunens stadsplanering.Frågeställningarna berör kvalitetsbegreppen kommunikation, rörelse ochintegration samt hur dessa tillämpas vid daglig kommunal stadsplanering.
