Background: HIV is a worldwide spread disease with many deaths. People with the disease have previously been met with attitudes, stigma and discrimination in various contexts. A caring relationship should be built on empathy, respect and communication, where the patient is not seen as their illness, but as a person. Today, there are laws that are there to protect the patient, however, there is a lack of knowledge about what is current. Health care workers knowledge in the 2000s has improved, but there is still a lack of knowledge.Aim: To illustrate how patients with HIV experience health care.Method: The literature review was conducted with twelve scientific articles of which two articles were quantitative and the other qualitative.Results: The results revealed three main themes; Different expressions of fear, Perceived negative attitudes and stigmatization, as well as The wish to be lovingly treated in health care.

Intensivvård bedrivs idag inte enbart på våra intensivvårdsavdelningarutan förekommer på andra vårdavdelningar inom slutenvården. Modernhjärtintensivvård har de senaste åren blivit tekniskt mer avancerad. Det finns risk atttekniken avhumaniserar vården och att vårdpersonalen fokuserar mer på apparaturenän patienten. Den teoretiska referensramen i detta arbete utgick från begreppetempowerment samt Hendersons omvårdnadteori.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva patienters upplevelse av intensivvårdmed fokus på empowerment.Metod: Litteraturstudien baserades på artiklar från sökningar i databaserna CINAHLoch PUBMED. De sökord som användes var ?empowerment?, ?patientempowerment?, nurse relations?, ?ICU?, ?critical illness?, ?patient perspective?,?critical care? och ?patient experience?.Resultat: Efter genomläsning av artiklarna kunde fyra teman identifieras sompåverkade patientens upplevelse och känsla av empowerment.

The purpose of this essay was to illustrate professionals? reflections on the concept early attachment between guardian and infant, within different family support activities, and how professionals encourage early attachment between guardian and infant. The mental health state of infants is an important field of knowledge to explore. Attachment between guardian and infant is of the utmost importance for the development of children. The questions we had were: What contains the concept early attachment between guardian and infant from a professional point of view? Which factors have influence on early attachment between guardian and infant? How do professionals work with early attachment between guardian and infant? The essay is a qualitative study based on six interviews with two female district nurses, two female social welfare secretaries, a female psychologist and a female social worker.

Syftet med rapporten var att undersöka hur barn i åldern fyra-fem år tänker om sin egen kropp, vilka uppfattningar om kroppen som finns. Sju barn har deltagit genom kvalitativa intervjuer och en uppföljning ca 18 månader senare visar hur uppfattningarna förändrats eller utvecklats. Barnen blev även erbjudna att måla en teckning som visade insidan på en människokropp.   Barnens svar var bundna till situationer och uppfattningarna om kroppen hade utvecklats sedan de första intervjuerna, även om en del svar var ganska lika. Barnens spontana svar om den egna kroppen var många; det finns ett hjärta, hjärna, skelett, blod för att nämna några svar. Några av barnen kände till hjärtat och hjärnans funktion.   Barnen fick också besvara frågor om vad som händer med maten vi äter, vad som händer med människokroppen när man blir gammal och om sjukdom.

This is a thesis on D-level. In a previous course, at our program Computer Science, we came up with an idea of how to improve/complement training for new employees who are situated in a stressful workplace at companies who are in a constant need of rehiring. We developed this concept and came up with an idea for a simulator that could train staff as well as relieve stress and tension for new employees. The idea matured and became a Serious Game simulator based on a dual-wield Wii-controlled PC-based simulator with Bluetooth support.The purpose of this paper is to produce a design concept for a simulator as well as conducting research on the topics: mental and physical learning abilities, psychomotor abilities, visual perception, hand-eye coordination, confidence, simulators and Serious Games. The conducted research will be the foundation for the design concept which will be implemented in our co-workers', Henrik Djerf & Daniel Gomez-Ortega, prototype.

The purpose of this essay was a follow-up of four female drug abusers with several mental problems ten years after my initial meeting with them at Korsaröds Behandlingshem. Using a qualitative method and interviews with the women, knowledge was obtained regarding their current vital conditions and their subjective experiences of the treatment at Korsaröd. Their perspective on the ethical as well as their desired relationship with staff within social services was also accounted for. When contacted the women lived a content and drug free life in their own flats. The women stayed at Korsaröd approximately five years, and they said that without the treatment they would not be alive today.

Bakgrund Studien tar sin utgångspunkt i samhället Dalsjöfors och Idrottsföreningen Dalsjöfors GoIF. Syfte Denna studie fokuserar på tioåriga flickor och deras upplevelse av identitet. Syftet är att undersöka och beskriva hur unga flickors identitet formas och influeras genom möte och relationer till boendeorten, fritidsaktiviteten och media. Övergripandefrågeställning Hur skapar unga flickor sin identitet? Metod Undersökningen är kvalitativ i sin karaktär och genomfördes med hjälp av metodtriangulering. De metoder som använts är observationer, en fokusgrupp med åtta flickor i tioårsåldern, samt intervjuer med fyra av flickornas föräldrar.

Kunskap om kroppen samt även kännedom och medvetande om den egna kroppen är viktigt för att sjukgymnaster ska få en helhetssyn i patientarbetet. Kroppsmedvetande innehåller flera olika aspekter såsom mentala, emotionella och perceptuella förmågor. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka sjukgymnaststudenters upplevelse av kroppsmedvetande i början respektive i slutet av sjukgymnastutbildningen. Två män och två kvinnor vardera ur termin ett respektive termin sex i åldersgruppen 23-31 år intervjuades utifrån begreppen förankring, mittlinje, centrum, andning och flöde. Vid kvalitativ innehållsanalys återfanns tre huvudkategorier, vilka var: kroppskontroll, kvalité i kroppsupplevelser och uppmärksamhet och mental närvaro.

Background: Children in our present society spend more time sedentary, and food has become more accessible. It is important to pay attention to obese children, because of the risk for serious diseases in the future. Obesity can also cause mental suffering for the child. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the nurse?s care of obese children.

Research shows that policing is mostly sedentary but physically and mentally demanding tasks occur and that policing includes factors like police inherent stress which may impair the health of police officers. Research has also found that physical exercise can play an important part for coping with these negative elements associated with policing. The overall purpose of this study is to contribute knowledge about the importance of physical exercise for policemen. The study is based on five semi-structured interviews with police officer?s working with emergency response.

The purpose of this study was to try to develop a better understanding of the process that being a member in a new religious movement might imply, and to find out how the identity of a defector changes from the time upon entering the movement, while they are within the movement and after leaving the movement. We also wanted to examine what kind of help and support would be needed around a defection. The study focuses on identity and our questions were: How does the defector describe him/herself and his/her identity before joining the new religious movement until the period after defecting? What demand for support and help may there be when defecting from new religious movement? The theoretical starting point was The Identity Theory, Structural Role Theory and KASAM. A qualitative method was used and four defectors from new religious movements were interviewed.

Children and youth inactivity and sedentary at school is increasing. This means that some of the students have a significant unhealthy lifestyle with physical inactivity, which in turn implies risks of suffering from various diseases, including obesity, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, all related to a sedentary lifestyle. To prevent illness, it is important that children and young people early get a positive attitude towards physical activity.The purpose of this study was to study the causes of child and adolescent physical inactivity in school, based on teachers 'and parents' perspectives.A qualitative research has been selected. To achieve the study objectives, the author has conducted seven semi-structured interviews, with an appropriate choice of five teachers and two parents with children in school. Data was analyzed with a manifest content analysis.The results show that teachers and parents felt that physical activity is a protective factor for children's health.

Sweden is getting an aging population and with this comes an increase in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer?s disease (AD). Bilingualism is also on the rise and this may result in an increase of bilingual people suffering from AD. Due to the linguistic deterioration associated with the illness people with AD, bilingual and monolingual, will be an increasing patient group with speech and language pathologists (SLPs). This study is of a qualitative phenomenological approach. Its background lies in recent reports that show the problem of self-harm increasing among adolescents. The intent of the study was to highlight school counselors? view of self-harm, and their experiences of meeting self-harm through their work. Six school counselors, all employed in secondary school, have participated in semi-structured interviews.
