När idrottare hamnar i en svacka kan de vända sig till en idrottspsykolog och det är den processen studien utgår ifrån. Studien avser att undersöka upplevelserna som sker vid mentala idrottssvackor hos både idrottare och idrottspsykologer, och därigenom sker en jämförande studie. Urvalet har bestått av fyra idrottspsykologer och tre idrottare. Materialet har samlats in via intervjuer som sedan kategoriserats i gemensamma kategorierna: mentala svackor, livshändelser, prestation, rådgivning, bakomliggande faktorer, generella övningar, mental träning, spänningsnivå, koncentration, visualisering, mål, självförtroende och självbild, rutiner och planering samt framtiden. Resultatet visar på att arbetet som sker vid mentala svackor är en individuellprocess med utgångspunkt från varje idrottares egen tolkning och arbetet med mål är centralt för både idrottspsykologer och idrottare.

Hypertension is one of the most common reasons for visiting primary care. It is one of the most important modifiable risk factors for cardiovascular disease, suffering and death. Lifestyle change, such as increased physical activity is the foundation of treatment of hypertension. Lifestyle change starts as a process in which patients can be helped by a nurse through conscious communication, educate and support increased physical exercise.AimThe aim of this study was to investigate the district nurse´s experiences of interacting with patients with hypertension about physical activity.MethodIndividual qualitative study. Ten nurses from health center were interviewed.

The purpose of this study was to investigate how social workers who worked with financial assistance perceived their work situation and the impact work-related stress had on their health and quality of work. Further, the study intended to find out if they felt that they received support from their employer that could prevent stress-related sick leave. The following two research questions were to be answered: In what way does work-related stress affect social workers? health and job quality according to their own experience? What kind of support and help experienced social workers were available within their organization? To receive answers to the questions semi-structured interviews with five social workers were conducted, analyzed and interpreted. The results showed that when social workers have a heavy case burden, high stress and a risk of deteriorated job quality occurred.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how power structures concerning gender and sexuality emerge through the use of language in the Swedish reality show Paradise Hotel. Of particular interest is the representation of heterosexual relations in the show. Because of its interest in the relationship between power, gender and sexuality, the thesis is based on theories from gender and discourse studies. The specific theories referred to are Michel Foucault?s understanding of power, stereotypes according to Stuart Hall, Yvonne Hirdman?s gender system and contract theory, Judith Butler?s heterosexual matrix and R.W.

The purpose of this study is to find out how social workers in one medium and one smallmunicipality in central Sweden perceive the need of financial support for young adults formore than one year and what the causes might be. To answer our research questions aqualitative research method was used and four social workers were interviewed. The resulthas been analyzed based of social exclusion, stigma, as well as on structural and individuallevel and linked to previous research. Our results show that although young adults are anexception for long duration for financial support, there are those who lack other means ofsupport for a long time. The results also show that young adults often are recurring in thesocial services, and they are long-lasting.

The title of this monography is Discourses of Writing in the Curriculum of the A-course in Swedish. The aim of this monograph is to find wich forms and discourses of writing that are emphasized and premiered in the curriculum for the first course in Swedish during secondary education in Sweden, grades 10-12. What kind of writing are presented to the students and what potentially miss due to the selection? Is any form of writing presented more thoroughly or as more important than any other in the curriculum?The professor of linguistics, Roz Ivanic, has formed different discourses of writing that she has found being used in education of writing. With these discourses of writing  I have applied them on the curriculum and then been able to see wich forms of writing that are premiered.

Background: Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in the world and it usually affects elderly women. However, there are between 600-700 cases per year in Sweden where women under the age of 45 are diagnosed. Removal of the breast or part of the breast, hair loss, fatigue and nausea as a result of the breast cancer treatment has an emotional and physical impact on the women?s lifeworld. The nurse should build a relationship with the women to identify and meet their needs. Aim: To describe younger women?s experiences of getting a breast cancer diagnosis and life afterwards.Method: Four biographical books were analyzed to match the aim of the study.Result: The findings were that the women experience similar thoughts and feelings when it comes to living with a cancer diagnosis.

AbstractThere is a general perception that women are victims and men are the perpetrators of sexual offense. Female perpetrators of sexual crimes have been neglected in the research literature, because female sex offenders do not live up to preconceptions of female as motherly and caring. Females tend to be responsible for a very small portion of all crimes and are estimated to account for 1-2% of all sexual offenses. Theories use to discuss female sex offending include neutralization of behavior, mental health and feminist theory. The aim of the present study was to describe female sex offenders and examine the relationship between the perpetrator and the victim by analyzing court judgments.

Epilepsi är en av de vanligaste neurologiska sjukdomarna som beror på en elektrisk överstimulering av hjärnans neuron. Att leva med epilepsi påverkar många områden i livet; fysiska, psykiska, sociala, emotionella aspekter är bara några av de som berörs.Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur livskvaliteten i det dagliga livet påverkas av att ha epilepsi. Studien utfördes som en litteratur-studie där resultatet bygger på 14 vetenskapliga artiklar. Två aspekter kom fram i resultatet, sociala och emotionella. I dessa vi-sades det bland annat att personer med epilepsi är rädda att berätta om sin sjukdom för omgivningen av rädsla att bli behandlade an-norlunda.

The purpose of this thesis is to identify power structures and instruments of power within the Jehovah?s witnesses and investigate how they affect the baptized youths baptized within the organization. The material consists of qualitative in-depth interviews and is analyzed with Foucault's theories of power. The results show that the participants have a very strict relationship to the rules of the congregation and also that they take great care in observing these rules carefully. It becomes evident that young members are exposed to disciplinary measures from the organization.

Bakgrund: Fysisk aktivitet på recept (FaR) är en ny behandlingsform som idag används för att öka den fysiska aktiviteten hos patienter som antingen redan är sjuka i olika livsstilsrelaterade sjukdomar, eller i riskzonen för att insjukna. Idag består behandling i hög grad av läkemedel, men FaR kan fungera som ett alternativ som minimerar användandet av traditionell medicin samtidigt som det ökar patientens självkänsla samt motiverar dem till en förändrad livsstil. Sjukvårdspersonalen måste vara kunnig i hur de kan bidra till att öka patientens compliance. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vilka faktorer som kan påverka en patients compliance till FaR. Metod: Metoden som användes för denna studie var en konvergent mixad metod, som kombinerade både en kvalitativ och kvantitativ analys av totalt 17 artiklar. Av dessa var 10 kvantitativa och 7 var kvalitativa.

Every day we make numerous decisions. Some are better than others. Intuitive decisions usually results in less good decisions when we do not reason about our choices. Research has been interested about the process that is behind how we make good decisions. Decisions we face every day, such as when we shop, determined using various mental shortcuts that we use unconsciously.

Libraries exist around us and for most of us they are a part of our every day life. But how often do we stop and think about their meaning?Libraries in fiction are usually not the center of the narrative, they play a role quietly in the background and offer a backcloth to the story. Yet they are a vital part of the story. Without them a big part of the magic in the stories would be lost.And what is their role in our lives? What do the libraries mean to the books they harbor, the readers who seek them out and society in which they have their axiomatic role?This essay?s focus is my story ?Between the shelves?, which is about the young girl Julia and the mysterious passageway she discovers in her local library.

Introduktion: Sverige har en nollvision gällande vårdskador i hälso- och sjukvården, trots detta inträffar ca 100 000 vårdskador per år som resulterar i cirka 3000 dödsfall. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa faktorer i sjuksköterskans arbetsmiljö som kan leda till hög arbetsbelastning, samt hur en hög arbetsbelastning på sikt kan äventyra patientsäkerheten. Metod: En litteraturstudie med resultat från 18 kvantitativa och 3 kvalitativa artiklar med med hög vetenskaplig kvalitet. Litteratursökningarna genomfördes i databaserna PubMed, Cinahl och PsycINFO. Resultat: Resultatet visar att en hög arbetsbelastning påverkas av flera faktorer som ingår i rubrikerna bemanning, omvårdnadens krav och mental arbetsbelastning.
