Den har karaktären av en lärobok och dess målgrupp är personer med kunskaper likvärdiga med en kandidatexamen i teknisk fysik, teknisk matematik eller liknande. Rapportens fokus ligger på matematiska metoder för allmän relativitetsteori och förkunskaper nödvändiga för att förstå detta. Texten avslutas med några inledande exempel på allmän relativitet som demonstrerar några av begreppen som avhandlas i rapporten. Tidigare forskning har visat att svenska stridspiloter har uppvisat en anmärkningsvärt hög förekomst av depressions- och ångestsymptom, vilket både riskerar att minska effektiviteten hos de svenska luftstridskrafterna och kan innebära en fara för flygsäkerheten.Detta arbete syftar till att underlätta beslutsfattandet kring problemet genom att skapa ett bättre underlag för att förstå de bakomliggande orsakerna. Studien undersöker när under karriären symptomen uppkommer samt jämför mellan olika pilotkategorier för att skapa en bättre förståelse för hur problemen uppstår och därmed vilka åtgärder som kan vidtas för att förhindra detta.En kvantitativ enkätundersökning användes för att undersöka förekomsten av depressions- och ångestsymptom bland svenska strids-, transport- och helikopterpiloter under deras första fem utbildningsår. Enkäten baserades på HADS-skalan och skickades till 158 personer, varav hälften var piloter.Resultatet av studien indikerar att den höga förekomsten av depressions- och ångestsymptom uppkommer senare i stridspilotkarriären. Stridspiloterna uppvisade dessutom en lägre förekomst av depressions- och ångestsymptom än en icke-flygande kontrollgrupp. Dessa resultat pekar i sin tur mot att miljöfaktorerna spelar en större roll än de genetiska faktorerna vid uppkomsten av symptomen.

I vårt arbete utgick vi från följande frågeställningar: ? Hur ser coachers arbete med långtidsarbetslösa ut? ? Vad anser coacher vara de avgörande faktorerna för att en långtidsarbetslös ska få ett arbete? - En del coacher anser att de har lyckats få ut förhållandevis många långtidsarbetslösa i arbete. Hur skiljer sig deras arbetsmetoder från de övriga coachernas? För att få svar på våra frågeställningar använde vi oss av kvalitativ metod. Totalt ingick sju coacher i vår undersökning.

Syftet med vårt arbete är att beskriva vilka eventuella skillnader som finns mellan elever som går i hälsonyckelprofilerade klasser och andra vanliga klasser i deras beteende när det gäller hälsa. Genom FMS (Fysisk, mental och Social kompetensutveckling) har vi fått en inblick hur lärarna på gymnasieskolan jobbar med eleverna. Vidare har det gett oss en uppfattning hur vi som blivande idrottslärare kan andvända detta i undervisningen. Vi har använt oss av en enkätundersökning för att ta reda på elevernas inställning till hälsa och medvetande om hälsans betydelse. Dagens samhälle är på många sätt ett stressat samhälle som påverkar oss negativt på ett eller annat sätt.

Studien tar sin utgångspunkt i teorin om mental accounting. Vi behandlar för det första kategoriseringen av tillgångar och utgifter i olika konton i det mentala bokföringssystemet. Konkret undersöks huruvida någon skillnad i vilka inkomster eller tillgångar som används till olika typer av utgifter kan påvisas. Kontona som vid operationaliseringen valdes för att beskriva finansieringen av ett köp var ?regelbunden inkomst?, ?plötslig inkomst?, ?sparade pengar? och ?avbetalning?.

Cycle time has a direct influence on number of returnable crates needed and therefore a crucial parameter for cost structure and pricing of the user fec in the pool system.For providing the growing market, number of crates has to increase as well as the utilization of existing crates. To accomplish this aim, cycle time for the whole supply chain has to be fully unravelled and understand.The purpose is to map cycle time and stock movements, to see how, where and when crates are being used in the supply chain. The goal is to make a method of cycle time calculation, together with suggestions of improving the pool system and decrease cycle time.The study has been a combination of qualitative and quantitative research and comprises the three biggest wholesalers in Sweden; ICA, Coop and Axfood. Furthermore have 65 grocery shops, connected to the wholesalers, been investigated and mapped.The study has come to a conclusion that cycle time for an average returnable crate is 19 days. The full-size and half-size crates have a bit longer cycle time, 21-22 days, while Dual Height-crates and shallow haif-size crates have 17-18 days.

Boverket?s definition of near-zero energy housesintends buildings with good energy performance in which a proportion of theamount of energy that must be added to the building is made of renewable energy.Passive House is a set of requirements from FEBY designed to build energyefficient buildings. This is achieved by reducing loss of heat through the buildingenvelope and to take advantage of the passive heat from solar radiation,installation and heat sources like people living in the house.This project has been made with help of Anebyhus and one of their model houseshave been examined from the report?s issues, including Anebyhus?s energyperformance, requirements for the manufacturing and assembly, how theenvelope must be improved to fulfill the requirements for the Passive House andwhat energy calculation programs are available on the market.The report aims to provide solutions for energy efficient houses that are adaptedfor production of house building.Two visits to Anebyhus has been done to study their manufacture and assemblyof building elements.

This thesis is focused on what impact stall confinement has on a horse?s mental and physical welfare. It was of great interest to get a gathered picture of how Swedish horseowners had experienced having their horses in stall confinement. A survey study was conducted to achieve this. The survey included twelve questions which for example investigated the horses? age at the time of stall confinement, the length of stall confinement and their sexes.

BACKGROUND: Today?s societal changes, including high rate of change and increasing information flows, are increasing the demand on the individual mental capacity. It becomes increasingly difficult to analytically process all the different dilemmas and everyday decisions as individuals have a limited mental capacity available to make these decisions. Thus, it has been suggested that ego-depleted relies more heavily on intuition, which is less burdensome, when making decision. However little is known about to what extent intuitive decisions differ from analytic.

Trädgårdsterapi brukar beskrivas som grön rehabilitering och har kompletterat institutionaliserad vård långt tillbaka i tiden. Naturen har bevisats främja mental återhämtning. Denna studie fokuserar på vinteraspekter, med utgångspunkten om att de obefogat har lämnats i bakgrunden. En fråga är om grön verkligen är den rätta benämningen på en rehabilitering som innefattar en natur som skiftar under årets lopp? Med undantag för städse- och vintergröna växter är den framförallt inte grön vintertid. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att identifiera eventuella återhämtande faktorer som finns vintertid.

Concrete is a very common construction material. It´s characteristics are strength, durability and formablility. Superplasticizer is a common admixture, which changes the properties of concrete. Today (spring 2007) there are no certian mathematical methods to calculate the required percentage of this admixture needed to give the necessary set slump flow in the overall concrete recipe. Concrete batching companies must therefor experiment with different amount of superplasticizer in order to meet the specified slump and strength. The purpose og this report is to investigate if any mathematical relation can be established between the amount of superplasticizer used and the slump flow achieved. After carrying out some practical experiments using four different superplasticizers a direct relationship can be establish between the percentage of admixture used and the slump/flowability achieved. Unfortunatly at present due to the numerous variables, the calculation of mathematical formula can not be achieved..
