Den här rapporten undersöker om och i så fall hur webbplatser kan användas som ett återkommande inslag i matematikundervisning. Bland annat Skolverkets utvärdering av grundskolan 2003 visade att matematiklektioner av många elever upplevs som långtråkiga och enformiga. Med rätt utformade applikationer för dator och Internet kan kanske ett Medium för ett annorlunda och för eleverna mer engagerande sätt att lära matematik erbjudas. Inom det här projektet konstruerades en webbplats med uppgifter som nästan uteslutande utformats som små spel och sedan delat sin i nivåer efter svårighetsgrad. För att klara en nivå och på så sätt ta sig vidare till nästa behöver en elev först klara alla uppgifter på den aktuella nivån.

The possibility and the right to be able to communicate with municipalities or other state companies and politicians are natural for the Swedish citizens. However, they may be unaware that this communication process is called citizen dialogue.Today there are so many ways to communicate; one-way communication is not possible in the same way as before. It is above all social media such as Facebook, which has opened the gates one could only dream of.  Via a Medium such as Facebook creates a strong citizen dialogue in which the municipality and citizens communicate openly and ask questions and give response.The purpose of this study is to find out how Karlstad?s municipality uses, and maintains, citizen dialogue on Facebook. What are the guidelines and how do the municipality use these? In this paper a qualitative expert interview and a qualitative content analysis has been used to answer the purpose of the essay.

This study aims to investigate and describe the direction of the ideological development of the Swedish gymnastics association Gymniska Förbundet. Between 1928 and 1932, this organization transformed from a purely gymnastic and cultural association into an influential platform for the production of Swedish nationalist ideology. Based on theories of National Socialism?s formation within modern society, the analysis focus on the conditions regulating Gymniska Förbundets relation to modernity. Thus the study examines the association?s ideas in relationship to the concept of modernity.

The purpose of this Masters Thesis is to explore the process of selection that librarians face when selecting and acquiring cultural magazines to public libraries. The methods used are qualitative interviews and literary studies. A brief review is given of acquisition policies at public libraries and of cultural magazines and the important role they play in public libraries. Five interviews have been made at five public libraries to find out what factors affect the process of selection when it comes to cultural magazines. Two theories are used as a basis for the analysis of the result of the interviews and literary studies.

This thesis aims to investigate what requirements companies have in order to achieve a successful legislative compliance control. The implementation of an environmental management system can help the company to structure their business and succeed with their environmental legislative compliance.Both small and Medium sized businesses perceive that it is difficult and time consuming because the legislation can be difficult to interpret if you do not have the required knowledge. There are many companies that hire help in the form of consultants who audit their compliance, but this leads to a risk that the company will be exposed when the knowledge does not remain in the company if the consultant would cancel the cooperation. There are not so many tools today for businesses to obtain good legal compliance. The methods used are usually checklists included in the control program, and it costs a lot of resources to do everything needed.This study strives to deliver the expressed needs of the businesses.

Det här examensarbetet undersöker tidigare teoribildning inom Tv-spelsforskningen och i synnerhet kring Tv-spelets berättande. Eftersom forskning inom Tv-spelsområdet är relativt nytt är också själva teorierna under konstruktion vilket leder till att en del antaganden kan diskuteras. Därför granskar och diskuterar jag i den här uppsatsen de teorier och teoretiker som menar att film och litteraturteorier inte bör användas inom Tv-spelsforskning och att det inte är intressant att analysera spelets berättande. Teoribildningen som gör detta kallas ludologi och driver en tes om att Tv-spel i egenskap av nytt Medium istället bör undersökas mer funktionellt.            Den här uppsatsen diskuterar hur ludologerna argumenterat i sin framställning av denna tes och huruvida det är konstruktivt att smala av forskning genom att utesluta teorier från andra forskningsfält. Detta görs med hjälp av ett huvudspelexempel i form av Bastion (SuperGiant Games, 2010) som rent funktionellt är ett relativt enkelt spel, men som samtidigt har ett speciellt sätt att berätta på.

The global market is becoming increasingly integrated and to keep up with growing competition and to achieve even greater success, companies expand to foreign markets. Previous studies have shown that the concept of psychic distance has an important impact on international performance regarding small and Medium-sized enterprises (SME). The aim of our study is to provide the reader with a deeper understanding of how psychic distance influences export performance regarding Swedish SMEs. Through a single case study of a Swedish SME, we chose to research three different markets in three different continents. Our findings show that psychic distance influences export performance through export marketing strategy and active learning.

Places like nightclubs or pubs are frequently visited in order to find partners for love, sex and relationships. This study examins behavioral patterns and trends among young adults in these environments. A computer-based questionnaire has been implemented on entertainment establishments - two studentclubs, one youth club and three nightclubs - in Malmoe and Lund in southern Sweden. The emprical material contains at most 149 answers, and at least 109. Sex, love and relationships are less important than expected, but are still some of few big reasons for visiting nightclubs.

This paper examines family owned tourism businesses with a special focus on succession. In Nordic countries tourism has been widely promoted and used in rural development as a replacement economy for ?traditional? livelihoods based on rural production. Because the tourism and hospitality industry, especially in rural areas, is dominated by family enterprises, the topic of succession is of great relevance for tourism and tourism destinations. This paper looks at family businesses? special characteristics, challenges and advantages in terms of ownership structure, lifestyle, motivations, employees and destination impact.

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate on what perspective or perspectives university teachers and librarians at a Medium-sized university in Sweden base their view on information literacy. More specifically, how do the respondents view their own information literacy and what opinions they have of their students? information literacy as professionals. Three perspectives are used to interpret the results, the sociocultural perspective, the phenomenographical perspective and the behavioristic perspective.The method used is semi structured interviews with three university teachers and three librarians.Both librarians and teachers emphasize the importance of information literacy, for themselves as well as for students. The information literacy of the librarians involves being well acquainted with the subjects of the students.
