Diabetes typ 2 är en kronisk sjukdom som ständigt ökar. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva patienters upplevelser av att leva med diabetes typ 2. Nio vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades. Analysen resulterade i fem huvudkategorier; upplevelser av att ändra livsstil, coping - ett sätt att hantera sin diabetes, upplevelser av en förändrad självkänsla, upplevelser av vårdpersonalens bemötande och framtidssyn. Resultat som framkom i studien var svårigheter med att ändra livsstil beträffande kostvanor, hantering av Medicinering och fysisk aktivitet.

The purpose of this study is to make a qualitative evaluation of the MTFC-program (Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care) on the basis of six youth´s experiences of the program. The study will investigate what the youth experienced as positive and negative about the program as well as finding out what has helped them or inhibited them from the aim of getting out of their criminal lifestyle. A secondary purpose of this study is to make the youth´s voices heard in the research world. The research question is: Which factors in the MTFC-program have helped or inhibited the youth towards the aim of getting out of their criminal lifestyle? For this purpose, a qualitative research method has been used where semistructured interviews have been performed on six youth who have gone through the MTFC-program.

Introduktion Patientinformation/patientundervisning är viktigt för att patienten ska kunna tillgodogöra sig vården på bästa sätt. Ett evidensbaserat arbetssätt är idag en nödvändighet/viktig del av svensk sjukvård, men för att patientinformationen ska fungera optimalt är det viktigt att även sättet den förmedlas på vilar på enevidensbaserad grund. Syfte Syftet med föreliggande arbete var att utifrån Patricia Benners domän om sjuksköterskans undervisande och vägledande funktion, studera hur förmedling av evidensbaserad omvårdnad till patienten är beskriven i litteraturen. Metod Litteraturstudie som grundar sig på tio vetenskapliga artiklar. Alla artiklar hade som grund ett evidensbaserat omvårdnadsperspektiv, och artiklarna har analyserats då det gällde patientinformation/patientundervisning utifrån en av Benners sju domäner, den som handlade om den undervisande och vägledande funktionen.

Bakgrund:Antalet äldre i dagens befolkning ökar kraftigt. Flera biopsykosociala faktorer anses påverka äldres fysiska aktivitetsnivå. Fysioterapeuten arbetar hälsofrämjande med äldre främst genom att befrämja fysisk aktivitet.Syfte:Att ur ett biopsykosocialt perspektiv beskriva hemmaboende äldres upplevelse av vilka faktorer som har betydelse för deras fysiska aktivitetsnivå. Vidare är syftet att beskriva hur äldre upplever att en fysioterapeut kan understödja deras fysiska aktivitet.Metod:En kvalitativ, semistrukturerad intervjustudie med induktiv ansats användes. Ett ändamålsenligt bekvämlighetsurval gav fem deltagare ?80 år.

The problem of finding targeted Medicine is a central problem in chemotherapy. From this point of view the ubiquitin-proteasome system is a highly promising object in the pharmaceutical approach. Proteasome plays a critical role in cellular protein degradation, cell cycle and apoptosis regulation.Proteasome inhibitors are substances blocking the actions of proteasome. Cancer cells are more sensitive to inhibition of the ubiquitin-proteasome system than normal cells. Therefore proteasome inhibitors have the potential to be successfully used in the cancer treatment.The study aimed to test various substances to identify possible proteasome inhibitors with the IncuCyteTM FLR image system and fluorometric microculture cytotoxicity assay.

Tidig identifiering och adekvat antibiotikabehandling är avgörande för prognosen. Detta ställer höga krav på ambulanssjukvårdens kvalitet. Ambulanssjukvården har behandlingsriktlinjer som ska utgöra beslutsunderlag och kvalitetssäkring för den givna vården. De potentiella vinsterna med en behandlingsriktlinje blir dock aldrig bättre än kvaliteten på behandlingsriktlinjen i sig.

It is important to know what is normal in the wound healing process in order to determine what happens when a wound does not heal as expected. If the amount of bacteria in the wound gets too large the body will not be able to defend itself and it becomes an infection. Colonization and infection are common elements in wound management and it is often the veterinary nurse role to deal with wounds in a proper manner. Antibiotics are drugs that either kill or inhibit the multiplication of bacteria or fungi, and have been in veterinary Medicine for approximately 60 years. Very few new antibiotics are introduced and increased resistance is a major problem that requires everyone to take responsibility to reduce the use of it.

Penicillin G (benzylpenicillin) is the most commonly used antimicrobial substance used in equine Medicine today. Two forms of penicillin G are available for equine use; one form is the poorly soluble penicillin G procaine and the other is the very soluble sodium salt. Although penicillin has a wide safety margin and is considered to possess a good tolerance, reactions due to side effects are sometimes encountered, which commonly is named ?penicillin-shock?. The etiology behind penicillin shock in horses is not completely understood, but the most common reason is believed to be procaine toxicity.

Föreliggande systematiska litteraturstudie syftade till att klarlägga vilka omvårdnadsbehov som föreligger hos patienter med typ 2-diabetes. Sammanlagt 15 vetenskapliga artiklar valdes ut via sökmotorn Electronic Library Information Navigator (ELIN), databasen Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health (CINAHL) samt sökmotorn och databasen för medicinska artiklar som drivs av United States National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE), för vidare granskning. Sökorden type 2 diabetes AND quality of life AND nurs* användes. Alla titlar lästes, om titeln verkade relevant för forskningsområdet lästes även abstraktet. Kvalitetsgranskning av artiklarna genomfördes efter granskningsmallar med 28 bedömningskriterier.

Bakgrund: Evidens styrker att teamrehabilitering är en lämplig rehabiliteringsform för patienter med reumatiska sjukdomar. Gruppträning har i tidigare studier visat goda resultat för personer med reumatisk sjukdom. Dock är forskning om den subjektiva upplevelsen av gruppträningen bristfällig.Syfte: Syftet med studien är att ur ett socialkognitivt perspektiv undersöka vilka upplevelser och erfarenheter deltagare med reumatisk sjukdom fått av den gruppträning som ingår i teamrehabiliteringen.Metod: Studien har en kvalitativ design med induktiv ansats. Semistrukturerade intervjuer utfördes. Fem deltagare inkluderades och det insamlade materialet analyserades genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Det framkom att deltagarna hade en positiv uppfattning om teamrehabiliteringen och att de tog med sig många erfarenheter därifrån.

The purpose of this study was to examine the controversy surrounding the Swedish methadone assisted rehabilitation program over time. Which course has the Swedish methadone assisted rehabilitation program, and the controversy surrounding it, taken since the start? Which arguments have been for and which have been against a methadone assisted rehabilitation program in Sweden, and what are these arguments based on? We chose to write this thesis as a literature study to get a broad and in depth picture of the development of the program in Sweden. In our analysis we used social constructionism and a medical aspect on substance abuse as theories.It is clear that it has been, and still are, differences in opinions when it comes to the effects of the program. As early as in the 1980's the methadone assisted rehabilitation program was scientifically proved effective and approved by the Swedish Board of Health and Social Affairs.
