Att arbeta med strategier och mål i en offentlig verksamhet - En fallstudie om strategiimplementering inom ett kommunalt bostadsbolag
Background: During the 2000s, there has been an increased interest in studying
business management and strategy implementation with customer focus in public
organisations. To achieve business goals it is important to continuously work
with strategies to meet customerdemands for increased efficiency and service.
Purpose: The aim of the essay is to examine how to work on strategy
implementation in a municipal real estate company from a management perspective
in order to achieve overall goals.
Method: The study?s methodology is a case study based on qualitative telephone
interviews
that were conducted with representatives in managerial positions from various
levels of the
company. The choice of the qualitative data was considered relevant in relation
to the chosen
topic of the thesis. The empirical data was then compared to the theoretical
framework of the
thesis.
Results: Strategies guide the company to achieve the overall goals, which are
later on broken down into operational targets.
Förutsättningar för tillväxt i en gränsregion
Uppsatsens grundläggande syftet är att förklara förutsättningar för tillväxt i
en gränsregion. För att uppnå detta syfte har förutsättningar utifrån teori
delats upp i tre olika dimensioner: institutionella, ekonomiska och
sociokulturella. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten har varit vägledande för att
empiriskt identifiera förutsättningar för tillväxt i en gränsregion mellan
Sverige och Norge.
Det är förklaringen av ett visst fenomen ? gränshinder ? i relation till
gränsöverskridande verksamhet som eftersträvas. Förutsättningar för tillväxt i
en gränsregion begränsas av brist på institutionella, ekonomiska och
sociokulturella förutsättningar.

The purpose of a brand is to influence the customers? view of the brand image. Behandlingsalternativ för äldre med depression och ångest : - en studie av Örebro kommuns särskilda boenden
This essay aims to explore the possibilities for elderly in nursing homes in Örebro municipality toreceive other treatments besides medication in case of depression or anxiety. Issues associated withthe object in this paper and which are discussed are prevalence of drug usage, opportunities forelderlies to receive other treatments, prevalence of other treatments and the elderlies own power orinfluence over the choice of treatment. The survey has been conducted with questionnaires sent outby post to nurses at every nursing home for elderly in Örebro municipality. The results showed thatdrugs are used extensively when treating depression or anxiety among the nursing home residents,and other treatments are never or only occasionally being discussed at more than half of the nursinghomes in this study. The results also show that reminiscence therapy and problem-solving therapyhas been used occasionally, while alternative therapies are used more frequently.
Ledarskap - ett kollektivt fenomen : effekten av Värmlands landstings stödinsatser för chefer
Diagnosis of adhd, the cause and consequence. A study about the teachers thought about it.The purpose of this study was to examine teachers experience and views about children diagnosed with adhd, and what implication and effects it gives to the pedagogy strategies in the classroom.This is a qualitative study based on the experience of six teachers from primary school. My results have been compiled and compared to special educational research about adhd, from three different perspectives.The results showed that the teachers who have been working as teachers for a longer period, think that the problems of adhd occur primarily due to environmental causes, but then also say that they think the individual causes matters. It is also these teachers that talks very well about medication as a treatment to cure adhd symptoms. The teachers who have worked the shortest time, most of them have some special education from the teacher education.
Tillväxtens utmaningar - En studie om gasellföretag i Blekinge
Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera upplevda tillväxtutmaningar utifrån
en företagsledares perspektiv. Genom fokus på tillväxtfasen skildras
omfattningen och betydelsen av de hinder som tidigare forskning behandlat.
Metod: Studien har en teoretisk grund som vi har använt oss av när vi genomfört
individuella intervjuer med utvalda företagsledare i gasellföretag. Dessa
teorier har även använts som grund till analysen. Det teoretiska samt empiriska
materialet är sammanställt under respektive kapitel.
Slutsatser: Det teoretiska materialet påvisar de utmaningar som företag möter
under tillväxtfasen. Trots sin starka tillväxt under kort tid har samtliga av
de intervjuade gasellföretagen upplevt något av utmaningarna.

We have found a few points we would like to improve in the company weexamined. We believe that it is the company's reputation and it begins already in thecompany's own recruitment process it is the main finding from our study.Suggestions for future research:Interesting would be to seek employment with thecompany you want to investigate to see how the whole recruitment process goes on toperform deeper analysis, another idea would be to ask the employees that enjoy to work thereagainst those who does not enjoy to work at the company to find the basic building blocks ofcorporate culture to this particular company.

The students participating in my development work will work with a process book for handicraft studies. In the beginning of their studies, the students need practical knowledge about the development of the profession itself, but they also need to be challenged and learn how to solve problems on their own which will help them gain a deeper knowledge of the subject. I focus on open questions to create a process with the students. This process is created when working with Solution-Focused-Education. Through ?assessment for learning? we can help the students to improve their self-assessment and understanding of the learning process.

Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka om chefer verkligen har så stor
betydelse som den allmänna uppfattningen tillskriver dem, och vi gör
undersökningen med särskilt hänseende till bibehållandet av företagskulturen då
ett företag expanderar till nya marknader. Vi tar reda på och klargör chefens
betydelse för bibehållandet av företagskulturen vid företagsexpansion.
Metod: För att studera förhållandet mellan chef och företagskultur intervjuade
vi fem chefer i personliga intervjuer respektive per telefon, om deras
erfarenheter vid företagsexpansioner. Genom att göra det lade vi den empiriska
grunden för den analys vi därefter genomförde via kultur- och ledarskapsteorier
vi fann i litteraturstudien.
Slutsatser: Vår slutsats är att ledaren som levt och verkat i företagskulturen
har stor betydelse för företagskulturbevarande vid företagsexpansioner, då
denne vet vad företaget vill förmedla till de nyanställda. Ledaren har i sin
position inflytande att påverka de anställda i exempelvis interaktioner och
värderingsbildande..
Man känner sig lite kluven ibland : an international adopted?s experience of her learning process
The aim of my study was to describe and interpretate how an international adopted person look back at and describes her learning process individually and in interaction with others. Data are based on one in-depth interview with a phenomenological inspired approach.The findings showed that the interviewee has repressed a great deal of her former life from her country of origin. According to the interviewee, the process of learning in interaction with other people has worked well. She has furthermore never felt that other students have treated her differently based on her appearance. There is some ambivalence in how the interviewee describes this though, which opens up for other interpretations..

A study based on the consumer buying decision process to discover the typical use of the Internet in the consumer buying decision process when buying clothes. The matter is researched through an Internet survey which discovers how the consumer use the Internet in each step of the buying decision process by using predetermined options. As a result, the conclusion is that people most commonly use the traditional alternatives in the buying decision process of clothes. However, information about a product is often collected on the Internet, mostly on different webshops. The main reason, for people to buy clothes on the Internet, is that the consumers consider it is more convenient and time saving.

In the last decades, lean production has proven to be one of the most important organizational paradigms in manufacturing. The lean concept has also spread into the service industry where it is applied within a range of different areas. The wide applicability of lean principles has spurred the authors of this study to apply the principles in the context of the operations of a Swedish remand prison. The thesis examines the process a client of the remand prison Häktet Kronoberg goes through from the time of arrest until he/she is released or convicted and transferred to jail. Based on lean tools and principles, the thesis maps and analyses this process.
