This report addresses the growing need to adapt the medical healthcare to the new possibilities that can be accomplished by incorporating a web aspect to the personal treatment plans of patients. It describes what implementations that need to be considered in order to successfully convert to a partially web-based treatment.The report also reflects the potential economical gain that can be made by keeping the communication between the patient and the doctor frequent. It also takes into account the personal gain to the patient by increased feedback and easier ways to communicate with their attending physician and thereby increasing the quality of their healthcare and service.The construction of a prototype of the system required is also included in the report as a description of construction and functionality of the prototype along with results and estimated outcome..

The task for this thesis is to design a tool that is used to cut-out preforms of thermoplastic adhesive and also to make an estimate of costs for the stamping tool. The tool is used in the repair process at the MCM production line. The result of gathered information has affected how the design of the stamping tool has developed. The handling of thermoplastic adhesive in the repair process is one of the factors that influenced the design. The adhesive is sensitive for exposure to moisture. Therefore an automated feeding system of the adhesive is not recommended. The users wished for an automated stamping tool.

Alkolås är en teknik som gör att fordonet inte går att starta om föraren har alkohol i utandningsluftet. Vissa alkolås som hittills använts är utrustade med en minnensfunktion som regelbundet töms och bearbetas i ett särskillt pc-bearbetat dataprogram. Syftet med undersökningen var att utreda vart gränsen går till att kränka den personliga integriteten för att öka trafiksäkerheten med hjälp av alkolås, samt att utreda attityden till alkolås. Undersökningen är baserad på enkäter som besvarats av Luleå Lokaltrafik, Pitetaxi och Testplats Botnia. Ett problem med alkolås är att individen inte har kunskap om alkolåsets funktioner, och de integritetsproblem som kan uppkomma.

I detta examensarbete undersöks vilka centrala designprinciper en designer bör eftersträva när avsikten är att förenkla användningen av en webbplats i en statisk och en rörlig situation via den mobila enheten. De flesta som lider av infertilitet använder sig av medicinsk hjälp som förstahandsmetod. Misslyckas man med den medicinska hjälpen går vissa par vidare med adoption direkt medan andra ser detta som en sista utväg. Adoptionsprocessen, som den oftast beskrivs i media, är en arbetsam process och upplevelsen av väntan är central. Tidigare forskning kring adoption fokuserar mest på adoptivbarns upplevelse.

För många akut sjuka patienter är alarmeringssjukvården och ambulanssjukvården den första kontakten med sjukvården. Därför är det viktigt att dessa patienter prioriteras korrekt i förhållande till sjukdomstillståndets allvarlighetsgrad. Allra viktigast är det när patientens tillstånd är potentiellt akut livshotande, i situationer när tid är liv. Förutom det fysiska hotet kan tiden kännas outhärdligt lång innan ambulansen är på plats. Rädsla för att inte bli hittad och rädsla för att tillståndet ska försämras ytterligare kan innebära en skarp konfrontation med tankar om livets ändlighet.Syftet med studien var att kartlägga om det förelåg några skillnader i prioritering mellan alarmeringssjukvården och ambulanssjukvården, vid uppdrag där ambulanssjukvården bedömt att patienten led av ett potentiellt akut livshotande tillstånd.Alarmerings- och ambulansuppdrag från en region i sydvästra Sverige analyserades i en retrospektiv kvantitativ studie.

The aim of this study was to investigate how maternity and child care was carried out at Regional Hospital in Morogoro, Tanzania as well as how it was perceived by mothers and children. The study was conducted with a qualitative method through observation and interviews. The results of the study showed that the staff knew what they were doing and how they should treat their patients and that they helped them without thinking about preventive measures. The study concluded that people wanted to seek the care provided at the hospital and some people stated that they had confidence in the staff. The people that came to the hospital sought care for various diseases and conditions and they all got medical attention of some sort.

Aphasia is a disease that brings on disability. The purpose of the study is to describe the daily life when afflicted with aphasia and gain a deeper understanding of persons with aphasia in working ages. The study was made with a qualitative approach with a combination of data sources; literature, internet lectures, live lectures, interviews with personnel in medical and educational services and three persons with aphasia. More research in aphasiology is welcome. This may be aimed at developing knowledge about the importance of communication, of active participation in the social environment, and the achievement of improved attitudes towards people with disabilities. What are the competencies and qualifications required by employers concerning the first line executives in medical care? In this paper we aim to scrutinise this question by analysing the significance of terms reproduced by employers in advertisements between 1971 and 2007.Our survey concerns 93 advertisements and two interviews with knowledgeable authorities on personnel administration in the county council of Jönköping municipality, Sweden. Using a theoretical framework developed by Ellström our results point out how the demands of the employer have changed starting in the 1970?s.
