This is a master degree thesis at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) betweenÅngpanneföreningen and Programma. KTH is the examiner, Programma is the client andÅngpanneföreningen is mentor for this project.Programma has a product called TM1800 that has problems with EMC; the problem is thatthis product does only pass the CE-check with a small safety margin. This problem can besolved by reducing the radiation from the electric components in the product or by reducing offix base frame. In this degree thesis the focus is only on mechanical redesign.The main problems right now depends on the long distance between the screws, there is anisolating layer on most of the parts and the forces between the joints are too small. The mainfocus is to solve these three problems.The best solutions are when the whole base frame is more or less redesigned instead of onlyredesigning some of the connection points.

På VTI, så som på många andra forskningsorganisationer samlas data in, bearbetas och reduceras till slutsatser som slutligen publiceras. Data sparas idag ofta på den enskilde forskarens dator och stannar där. En hantering som genom att att maskinvara skrotas, riskerar att data, på sikt försvinner.Ett alternativ är att samla data centralt och strukturerat. Det ger inte bara möjlighet att skydda data från tidens tand utan öppnar även för att fler enkelt ska kunna använda data från en studie i andra studier. Detta kan göras både genom både jämförande studier och metastudier, där andra aspekter än de ursprungligen menade utvärderas.

Att ett grafikkort ska behandla data och sen generera en bild på en skärm är en ganska logisk funktion för ett grafikkort. Vad som har gjorts här är att alla grundläggande funktioner för grafikkortet har tagits bort, detta för att ingen behandling ska göras. Detta har gjorts för att kunna låta data passera genom kortet med så hög hastighet som möjligt. Att låta data gå genom kortet var det första steget. Efter det skulle förhoppningsvis ett stabilt system ha uppnåtts där vi kunde göra överföringen av data snabbare.

The interest in harvesting wood fuel in conflict stands has grown in recent years as a consequence of the increased demand for biofuel. Conflict stands are young forests that have not been cleaned and have a large number of stems ha-1with a great height and diameter distribution. This means that traditional field measurements in conflict stands are difficult and very time consuming. Therefore, the forestry sector is in need of new, more efficient inventory methods. In this study, the Lidar data from Lantmäteriet?s (the Swedish mapping, cadastral and land registration authorities) new national height model was used in combination with plots from the Swedish national forest inventory from 2009 to create functions for; height, volume, diameter and number of stems.

Detta i takt med att den totala datamängden i den digitala världen har ökat kraftigt de senaste åren. En benämning för gigantiska datamängder är Big Data, som har blivit ett populärt begrepp inom IT-branschen. Big Data kommer med helt nya analysmöjligheter, men det har visat sig att många företag är oroliga för hur de ska hantera och ta tillvara på de växande datamängderna.

This thesis aims to examine the viability of various techniques for increased electricity generation in CHP plants and the effect of electricity price fluctuations on the profitability.The techniques examined are fuel dryer, pellet production, methane production, combined methane- and pellet production, seasonal heating storages in caverns and pit heat storages and condensing tail. Using Excel and Matlab, the prerequisites for investment costs, revenues and expenses were calculated.What affects the price of electricity is a combination of economic and technological development, energy prices, economic structure, population changes and weather. Different scenarios for the electricity price were therefore examined. In the base case, the electricity price was given by the Nord Pool electricity price statistics of area three in 2011. Thereafter, WiMo was used to design the electricity scenarios for 2030, which was then applied to the data to obtain the viability of various scenarios. The techniques examined were found to give greater profits to the CHP plant by increasing and optimizing the production of electricity.

This project is about a transformation of an existing factory in Paraguay to a local sustainable refinery. The project aims to combine local knowledge and material and modern but low tech technology, this in combination with a contemporary form and new use of bricks in Paraguay..

Bakgrund och problemdiskussion: I takt med att vår omgivning blir mer digitaliserad skapasvarje dag, timme och sekund allt mer data. De stora datamängder som skapas går underbenämningen ?big data? och kan förklaras som stora datamängder som överskrider kapacitetenför vad ett vanligt databassystem kan hantera. Genom big data kan företag få ökad informationoch kunskap om sina kunder och därmed få ett bättre underlag till sina Customer Intelligencelösningar.Big data är på många sätt lovande men det kvarstår en del utmaningar, bådeaffärsmässiga och tekniska innan det kan anammas fullt ut. Arbete och hantering av data tar idagupp cirka 7-10 % av bankers rörelseresultat och frågan är hur de skulle kunna utvinna och lagradenna data på ett effektivt sätt.

Hemp is an ancient cultivated plant that came to Sweden in the 1st to 2nd Century and was particularly interesting for use for food, clothing and building materials. Over time, other applications have been developed for hemp, e.g. in energy and health products. Interesting new uses for hemp continue to be identified and this fascinating plant has incredibly versatile applications.In this project, seed production of industrial hemp in Sweden was studied and evaluated. Five different methods are described, four of which are proven under Swedish conditions.

In view of the difficulty of recruiting staff to care profession and in terms of the increasing need to find ways of ensuring a good language level in the profession, have an interest in language tests been revealed. The purpose of this paper is therefore to highlight the use of language tests for admission to the care courses for adults in Värmland. What provided This is a survey of the prevalence and an examination of the validity of the test. The issue that this study assumed is: How is language test in connection with admission to the certified health and social care courses for adults in Värmland? How well correlates intent of the use of the language test with the test's validity and reliability?The methods used to seek answers to these questions has been a combination of questionnaires and experiments.

By tradition, archival sciences has emerged in a context with defined information processes, with explicit information producers and custodians to which consumers make requests for the information. In this process, the archival science has developed methods and strategies to preserve authentic and reliable records and by that providing trustworthy information. In an online society, people are using the internet to get information for different purposes. Even though there is no legal obligation to guarantee the authenticity, it is of societal importance that the end users get trustworthy information. In this online context, open data is a trend that is growing fast over the world and it is interesting because its conditions raises many questions regarding authenticity.Since open data is free to reuse, link and combine with other information, and it is preferably in primary format it raises questions about how to maintain the integrity and identity of the information, which is the constituents of authenticity as it is used in this work.

I detta examensarbete utvecklas ett solcellsstativ i trämaterial. Ett idékoncept fanns somgrund för hur stativet skulle kunna utformas. Detta har vidareutvecklats, till färdigt systemanpassat för tillverkning.Resultatet blev ett fackverksstativ i trä bestående av vinklade halva oktaeder i rad.Trädetaljerna binds samman med knutpunkter i formsprutad plast, som med klämkraft hållerfast trädetaljerna. Knutpunkterna är konstruerade för att minimera åverkan på träet samtmotverka röta.Systemet är verifierat både genom beräkning, simulering och jämförelse med liknandekonstruktioner. Materilavalet är gjort med systematik enligt Ashby, Material Selection inMechanical Design.

Weland AB är ett familjeföretag som startade 1947 med sitt huvudkontor i Smålandsstenar. Här finns ungefär 250 anställda som jobbar på ca 60 000 kvadratmeter. Ryggraden i Welands verksamhet är tillverkning av pressvetsad gallerdurk som går att se i konstruktioner som trappor, både spiral och raka.Projektet grundar sig i att ljudnivån vid en maskin för kapning av gallerdurk är hög och därför har personalomsättningen också varit hög. Syftet med projektet är att konstruera komplement till en kapmaskin för att göra den helautomatisk. Det skulle göra att en operatör inte behöver vara närvarande mer än för att förse maskinen med material, programmera maskinen och bortföra pallar med färdigt gods.
