This study deals with work environment from a legal perspective. The study includes legislative history, legislation today and one empirical study. The legislation that concerns work environment (health and safety) in Sweden today is found in the Swedish Work Environment Act (WEA), the Work Environment Ordinance (WEO), Provisions issued by the Work Environment Authority, related legislations and also collective agreements. The WEA, passed by the parliament in 1977, came into force on the 1st of July 1978 and it defines the framework for Provisions issued by the Work Environment Authority, which is an authority superintended by the Swedish government. These Provisions contain more detailed stipulations and obligations with reference to the working environment.

Work environment has been an important part of the Swedish working life for a long time and with the help of the Working Environment Law the work environment is mandatory. The purpose of this study was to gain a deeper insight into how the system of middle managers systematic work environment looks like. The question was: How do six middle managers perceive and deal with systematic work environment? A qualitative study was conducted with six middle managers from a global company. During the analysis, there were three main themes to be recognized (cooperation and support facilitates the work environment, problem with the systematic work and difficulties with staff) and six sub themes.

The aim of this littrature review has been to describe how you can satisfy the need of nourishment for older people who suffer from dementia. Data has been retrieved by searches in Academic Search Elite, Sience Direct, Blackwell, PubMed and in the Journal Vård i Norden. The studies show that most of the people with dementia have a hard time to satisfy the nourishment. The results show that through different preventive measurement you can improve the nourishment for these people, to set the table, play calm music and to have a table companion. By taking the food oneself created a good Meal environment and the individually need was provided for.

The aim of this report has been to investigate the use of electricity energy before and after a conversion of foodservice. The ambition was also to highlight the food safety and the retention of nutrients in relation to the conversion. The methods being used were qualitative interviews, case studies, study visits and literature. The equipment and the use of energy was the same in 2008 as in 2011 for hot-holding of the tested component, sauce with ham. The chilled system used more than three times the energy and cost for one portion than one portion in the hot-hold system.

SummaryIn the area to the east of Hue city, in Vietnam, lays Tam Giang lagoon, one of Asia's largest lagoons, with an area of 22,000 hectares. This lagoon is suitable for aquaculture. One reason for this is because the salinity differs from sweet to salty in different parts of the lagoon. The Vietnamese Government advocates an increase in environmentally-friendly aquaculture and the fish Siganus guttatus (Rabbit fish) is a candidate for this. This fish eats mainly algae and can be cultivated in a polyculture.

This diploma work was performed because the company Sveriges BostadsrättsCentrum, with the abbreviation SBC, had a need to gain insight into how changes in the Work Environment Act and related regulations which took effect January 1, 2009 affecting their work with the work environment. The changes mean that the client may hand over his work environment responsibilities to a contractor and that he has to select so-called building work environment co-ordinators. At SBC they are working as representatives for tenant-owner's association when a construction is about to be carried out. The purpose was to ascertain how changes may affect the work at SBC. The diploma work intends to educate the staff at SBC how work with the work environment would look like if they met the regulatory requirements.

The purpose with this study was to examine which opinions and knowledge the directors have about the physical residential environment's importance on accommodations for people with dementia disease and how they do to create and to maintain a good physical residential environment. The issues have been: Which opinions and knowledge the directors had about the physical residential environment's importance for the people with dementia? How did the managers work in order to create and maintain a good physical residential environment? We had four themes, homelike environment on the accommodations, priorities on the accommodation, care/nursing in the physical residential environment and the manager?s possibility to influence the physical residential environment. The study followed a qualitative method. Five managers were interviewed on four accommodations and the managers were said to work actively with the physical residential environment.

Demens är en av de vanligaste kroniska sjukdomarna bland äldre och drabbar främst personer över 65 år. Med tanke på sjukdomens fysiska och psykiska påverkan på individen anses fler hälsofrämjande insatser vara nödvändiga för att öka demenssjukas upplevelse av välmående och livskvalitet, trots sjukdom. Måltidssituationen kan påverka individers kostintag och matlust både positivt och negativt, därmed är det ett relevant område att utforska.Studiens syfte är att belysa hur måltidssituationen på ett gruppboende för personer med demenssjukdom kan påverka matlust och kostintag. Begreppet måltidssituation definieras i ett tidigt skede med hjälp av Five Aspects Meal Model och används som stöd vid utformning av intervjuguide och under observationer.

Möjligheter för lek i förskolans utemiljö : En kartläggning över affordances i förskolans utemiljö

The purpose to this survey is to map out the affordances available in the outdoor environment of one preschool. This has been executed through three episodes of observing children at that preschool during their outdoor play. All visible affordances has been written down and later on summarized in different themes where the most interesting meeting places in the outdoor environment at the pre-school have been described. The result of the study shows what the children at this preschool do in their outdoor environment. It also shows the importance of the arrangement of material and environment in order to be able to support childrens play.
