Vi har genomfört en studie i syfte att beskriva och analysera vilka faktorer som är motiverande i en arbetssituation för medarbetare som tillhör Generation Y (födda 1978 och senare), samt vilka belöningar som är attraktiva för denna grupp. Vi har valt att genomföra en kvalitativ fallstudie på yngre medarbetare inom affärsområdet Rikskund på Niscayah AB, som är ett av de ledande säkerhetsföretagen på den svenska marknaden. Vi genomförde en intervjuserie där vi talat med tio yngre medarbetare på företaget samt deras affärsområdeschef.Vi har valt ett holistiskt angreppssätt och ser vad som är motiverande utifrån fyra hörnstenar; omgivningens påverkan, individens behov, individens rättviseperception samt individens förväntningar. Vi kombinerar tidigare teorier från erkända forskare som till exempel Maslows behovspyramid, Herzbergs hygien- och motivationsfaktorer, McClellands behovsteorier och Vrooms processteorier för att ta fram en egen utredningsmodell. Viktiga slutsatser i studien är att yngre medarbetare främst motiveras av utmanande arbetsuppgifter och framgång. Icke-finansiella belöningar som utbildning, feedback och karriärmöjligheter är viktigare än finansiella, men finansiella måste finnas med för att skapa en grundtrygghet.

Inom en snar framtid kommer det att ske en stor generationsväxling, 40 procent av den nuvarande arbetsstyrkan kommer att pensioneras fram till år 2015 och det är 40-talisterna som går i pension. Många av dessa arbetar som chefer och småföretagare och kommer att ersättas av en yngre generation som nu är på frammarsch. De nya yngre cheferna kan känna en viss oro och osäkerhet över att behöva leda och ?chefa? äldre och mer erfarna medarbetare, detta kan ha sin grund i en överdriven respekt för de äldre medarbetarna. Det är en utmaning att vara chef över äldre kollegor då varje generation har sina normer och värderingar som är skapade av den miljö och tidsanda som råder för dem.Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka Hur man tar sig an en chefsroll inom en måltidsverksamhet som ung och nyutexaminerad? Frågor som har försökts besvaras är: Vilka fördelar respektive nackdelar kan man uppleva som ung och nyutexaminerad i en chefsroll inom måltidsverksamheten? Hur övervinner man det eventuella motstånd som kan uppstå? Vad skall man tänka på som ung och nyutexaminerad när man tar sig an en chefsroll inom måltidsverksamheten? Vad har restaurangmanagerutbildningen för betydelse för restaurangmanagerstudenternas kommande profession?Undersökningen är en kvalitativ empirisk studie med hermeneutisk vetenskapsteoretisk inriktning och där intervjuer i fokusgrupper var en nyckelmetod.

The secondary control must be part of the production plan, since the capacity will bedeployed in advance, just as the primary control. The activation of the new frequencycontrol should be preformed in Vattenfall's operations centers (DC) to minimizecommunication delay. Vattenfall needs to work towards a more holistic optimizationsystem. The main issue for Vattenfall Generation is not how we produce but ratherwhen, which is done with creation of bids. This is where there is the mostopportunity for improvement.

OTEC gives also synergies of drinkable fresh water. The temperature difference has an impact on the efficiency of the technology, which means that the feasibility of OTEC is geographically limited. The project intends to explore the possibility of replacing the atoll Tarawa?s present electricity generation with an OTEC plant and to explore synergies. In the present situation all of Tarawa?s electricity is generated by fossil fuels.

Kundval innebär att kunder, som är i behov av en vara, en tjänst eller någon form av service, ges större inflytande och får större möjlighet att påverka verksamheten de är beroende av. Kundvalsmodeller införs i snabb takt idag i flera kommuner och landsting. Lagen Om Valfrihet (LOV) som infördes 1 januari 2009 underlättar denna utveckling. Idag har de kunder som har behov av hemtjänst möjlighet att välja utförare i de kommuner som valt att införa LOV. När nu kommunerna i framtiden ska möta den konkurrens som de kommer att utsättas för i och med LOV, är det intressant att titta på vad de kunder som i dagsläget har möjligheter till valfrihet anser om denna.Mitt syfte var att göra en undersökning av brukarmodellen som används i Bodens kommun.

The main part of this work is focused on the era called ?The Folk Music Vogue?, which was the era when my informants were in the limelight on the Swedish fiddler scene of the 70s.Our music culture is constantly lying under the change of progress and I find it interesting to reflect how these kinds of changes are affecting the role of the musician.In this essay I am reflecting on the different perspectives of the musicianship according to my informants and how they both are referring to their role as musicians. The purpose is further on to see how they have been relating to the change of progress on the field of the Swedish folk music during the 70s and up to this date. Throughout interviews with the informants I am analyzing their personal relationship to their life as folk musicians.

Dagens jord- och skogsägare står inför ett kommande ägarskifte då cirka en fjärdedel av Sveriges jord- och skogsägare är över 60 år gamla. Marknadspriserna och insatsvarorna har ökat kraftigt den senaste perioden. Allt fler banker har valt att finansiera lån till jord- och skogsbruksägare då säkerheten är stabil och lönsamheten god. En generellt försämrad lönsamhet inom jord- och skogsbruket har lett till att bankerna kommer ställa hårdare krav när belåning sker. Dagens generation skiljer sig ifrån den äldre då de är lyhörda och har möjlighet att byta bank över en natt.

Inom kort kommer mycket stora arealer skogsmark att byta ägare. En äldre generation kommer lämna över till en yngre som i högre utsträckning har jobb utanför skogssektorn och som bor längre ifrån fastigheten. För att Mellanskog ska vara en attraktiv skoglig partner även för den nya generationen och erbjuda vad de behöver är det viktigt att veta vilka förväntningar och krav de har på skogen och skogsägarföreningen. Denna undersökning vände sig till dagens äldre medlemmar (> 70 år) i Mellanskog men framförallt till deras barn. Målet var att besvara följande frågeställningar: ? Finns det skillnader i föräldrarnas respektive barnens avsikter att behålla skogen inom familjen? ? Vilka eventuella problem ser barnen med skogsägande och vilka hinder ligger i vägen för att de ska ta över skogen? ? Vilka produkter och/eller tjänster kommer bli viktigast för framtidens skogsägare? Drygt 700 medlemmar kontaktades och 262 lämnade ut sina barns fullständiga kontaktuppgifter.

This thesis is about developing a design that provides improved vacuum seal between a lead coating and a plastic coating during plastic extrusion processes of cables. This report is a part of the course MSGC 17 for Bachelor Engineers in mechanical engineering.The work is performed at Nexans Norway AS in Halden where they have a production of high voltage cables for sea-, and offshore industry. A problem they face is that they do not get enough good seal at the attachment to the plastic extrusion machine. They want to achieve a vacuum between a lead coating on the cable and a plastic coating of the cable for plastic extrusion, which is something they do not achieve today. The thesis is thus to come up with a design that provides better sealing against the cable.The work involves a construction part with the phases of product development processes.

I focus on the informants' television viewing and I compare this cross-generational, and in relation to other media use. Material/Method: The method I used in this thesis is qualitative interviews. My choice fell on this method because I believe it to be the most suitable for obtaining the data needed.

På senare år har man i dags- och fackpress kunnat läsa om att den yngre generationen som äntrar arbetsmarknaden är ovilliga att ta chefsjobb. Man har kunnat läsa om att de som faktiskt gör det har sämre hälsa, är mer stressade och saknar befogenheter i högre grad än äldre chefer. Unga chefers ledarskap skiljer sig från traditionellt ledarskap och unga ställer andra krav på sin arbetssituation och på chefsrollen. Unga människor födda mellan slutet av 70- och 90-talet har helt andra värderingar än äldre som värdesatte hårt arbete, sparande och trygghet i livet.Generation Y, som den unga generationen har kommit att kallas, uppskattar fritid och frihet allt högre. De har kallats lata, bortskämda och krävande men också välutbildade, ambitiösa och socialt ansvarstagande.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att via kvalitativa intervjuer komma fram till vad det är som driver personer som jobbar inom traditionella hantverksyrken till att gå till jobbet.Det empiriska material som ligger till grund för denna undersökning bygger på 6kvalitativa halvstrukturerade intervjuer av hantverkare och 2 kvalitativa intervjuer medtjänstemän som tidigare i sitt yrkesverksamma liv har arbetat med samma yrken som deövriga 6 intervjupersonerna..
