Metoden för att dimensionera stålpelare med avseende på böj- och böjvridknäckning enligt Eurokod 3 är omständlig och tidskrävande. Syftet med arbetet var att skapa beräkningshjälpmedel som underlättar dimensionering för hand enligt Eurokod 3. Först studerades bakgrunden till de befintliga dimensioneringsformlerna, hur de uppkommit och varför de ser ut som de gör. Sedan kunde hjälpmedel i form av interaktionsdiagram och tabeller tas fram. X-rays are a potential risk for animal health care personnel. The present study will examine the risks for scattered radiation to the personnel, if no lead gloves are used when holding an animal during the x-ray examination. Furthermore, how the impact of the exposure values and body parts examined, affect the scattered dose to the hands of the holder. Also, the distance between the animal and the hand that holds it was evaluated to see the impact on scattered radiation exposure. Tested by a survey, to animal health care students, the frequency of the usage of lead gloves in Swedish animal hospitals was studied. According to the results from the analysis, animal health care personnel don't need to use lead gloves every time they hold an animal or a cassette during x-ray examinations.

This thesis concerns agreements for the exchange of information relating to tax matters between Sweden and the previous tax havens Monaco and Liechtenstein. Monaco does not apply any tax on income or capital for individuals and Liechtenstein has strict bank secrecy, both aspects are supposed to be counteracted by similar agreements. The purpose is to investigate whether the entered agreements increases transparency and effective exchange of information in accordance with the OECD´s objectives in the area. Furthermore, is there any regulation in the agreements that can be seen as potentially loopholes to avoid the exchange of information and if so; may these loopholes be justified in any way?OECD believe that the tax havens favorable tax regulation is resulting in harmful tax competition and they identify lack of transparency and lack of effective exchange of information as the main reasons.

Can we harm future people? According to our commonly used contractarian theories, it seems we cannot. This is because our actions of today not only influence what they are supposed to influence, but also who mates with whom and when, and thus which particular persons will ever live in the future. Had we not performed a particular action, the future people born as a result of that same action, would not have been born. It therefore seems they cannot reasonably reject our actions.

Varje år tar 5000 studenter i Sverige examen i företagsekonomi och så många som 650 studenter läser idag civilekonomprogrammet vid Högskolan i Gävle (HiG). Vi är själva ekonomstudenter vid HiG och snart redo att ta steget ut i arbetslivet, vilket innebär blandade känslor av både förväntan och oro. Orsaken till denna osäkerhet är till stor del det faktum att vi inte vet vad som förväntas av oss den dag vi tar examen. Vad har vi egentligen lärt oss under vår utbildning och vad förväntar sig arbetsgivarna att vi kan? För att besvara denna fråga har vi intervjuat före detta studenter från HiG, varav en man och en kvinna från den privata sektorn samt en man och en kvinna från den offentliga sektorn.

I denna studie har elevers åsikter om det sociala mediet Facebook i svenskundervisningen studerats. Detta har skett genom en enkätundersökning med 88 elever och kompletterades med två intervjuer av elever med erfarenhet av mediet i undervisningen. Informanterna hade en delad inställning till Facebook som lärplattform och de problem som lyftes fram rörde sortering och intrång i privatlivet. En övervägande majoritet var dock positiva till arbetssättet om det bedrevs i mindre skala som enstaka kurser eller moment. Det gick även att se skillnader i åsikter om och användandet av sociala medier ur ett åldersperspektiv.

Silen är bland annat avsedd för att separera föroreningar och större partiklar i pappersmassan. Ingående metoder förklaras med avseende på princip, funktion och begränsningar. Vidare testas metoderna operativt i industriliknande miljö och dess fördelar respektive nackdelar belyses. Metoderna ställs mot varandra och jämförs gällande pris och prestanda.

By our employer Camatec Industriteknik AB have we been given the assignment to continue with the previous work ?Design of strip feeder?. Our goal with this work is to come up with a design basis for a strip feeder.Functionally a strip feeder consists of two rollers which with the aid of the friction between the strip and the coating on the roller create a strip force that pulls the strip through the working progress.Demands on this project:? 10 ? 600 mm in strip width and 0,1-1 mm in strip thickness.? Minimum 30m/min in production speed.? A maximum strip force on 30-40 kN.? The cost of the strip feeder?s components is to be considered of economy and quality.The need of a strip feeder occurs when the coil doesn?t manage to feed or pull the strip before or after a working process. The strip can otherwise be exposed by a permanent yield deformation or a change in the strip material if it?s pulled trough the working process only by the on ? and of-coils.

Hägglunds Drives in Mellansel, Sweden, manufacture radial piston hydraulic motors foremostwithin applications in the industry. These motors have several sliding contacts, one of these, isthe contact between piston ring and cylinder bore. The radial piston hydraulic motors advantageis to produce high torque in very low rotation velocity, this result in that the maximum slidingvelocity between piston ring and cylinder bore, during the whole stroke, is very low. Theconsequence of this low sliding velocity is that the contact between piston ring and cylinderbore, during the whole stroke, is bound to the boundary lubrication regime. This result in, thatthe piston ring is exposed to wear, thus affect the service life of the complete hydraulic motor.To minimize wear of piston ring, it is essential to determine the oil film thickness between thepiston ring and cylinder bore.

Open pit mining creates huge amounts of tailings and waste rock deposits. Due to it's content of sulphide minerals, predominantly pyrite (FeS2), there is a risk of oxidation and formation of acid water containing heavy metals, known as Acid Rock Drainage (ARD). To prevent the process of oxidation, the tailings and waste rock have to be reclaimed. The most commonly used methods of reclamation are a coverage of water or soil. Mining also results in a large-scale interference in the landscape that will make an eternal change of its appearance.
