Jordbruksmarkens kollektiva värden : Kommunpolitikers värdering av de öppna landskapen i Västerbottens län
Syfte: Syftet med undersökningen är att se om, och i så fall hur, elevernas antal steg samt upplevda ansträngningsnivå under lektioner i idrott och hälsa påverkas av vilket tempo bakgrundsmusiken har. Metod: Studien utfördes på 83 gymnasieelever från två olika skolor (varav 35 elevers resultat slutligen kunnat användas). Eleverna genomförde två till synes identiska lektioner vardera, där huvudmomentet bestod av en stationsbana. Den ena lektionen genomfördes till musik med ett BPM[1] högre än 140, medan den andra hade under 120 BPM. Två av klasserna började med musik i det lägre tempot och två med musik i det högre tempot.
Konsumentens dilemma : ekologiskt eller konventionellt?
A majority of Swedish consumers have a positive attitude towards organic production and the
number of organic products on the market is increasing. Despite these positive trends, there
are still relatively few consumers who choose to buy organic produced products. According to
statistics, only 3% of the total sales of food consist of organic products.
The aim with this essay is to understand what is needed, both from the grocery store and the
consumer's point of view, to increase the consumption of organic food.
Information has been collected partly through questionnaire with consumers and partly
through analysis of sales statistics for a selected numbers of products. Then the empirical
material have been analysed in the light of a combination of the Behavioural Perspective
Model (Foxell, 1997) and Kotler's Four P:s (Kotler, 2002).
Consumer's willingness to buy organic products is influenced by a number of different
factors. One important thing is if the grocery store offers a behaviour setting that stimulates
the consumers positive attitude and facilitates their possibilities to collect new information.
Furthermore, the store needs to offer a broad and well-visualised selection of organic
products.
How drinking behaviour in automatic milk feeders can be used as early disease detection
Healthy calves are the foundation in order to run a profitable diary production. Being healthy as calf results in a better start in life and good growth is expected to follow. Within dairy production it becomes more common to rear calves in groups and feed them by an automatic milk feeder. The milk feeder enables for the calves in greater extent to ingest milk or milk replacer several times per day and they are also able to perform natural behaviors in greater extent. Group rearing of calves puts higher demands on the animal keepers to localize individual calves in the group pen, showing signs of illness.

Food is widely consumed and in 2011 an average American devoured approximately one ton of food. The production of these goods requires large amounts of energy and contributes to 22-31 % of all greenhouse gas emissions occurring in Europe. More than one third of the produced food is discarded instead of consumed, and food waste make up about 30 % of the waste generated by households. 60 % of this food waste could be avoided if the eatables were handled in a better way.Avoidable food waste arises partly because residues from food are not taken care of, and because the food is not stored in a way that optimise its durability. Residues arises part- ly because of the contradictory and complex demands of everyday life and are, because of our busy lifestyle, difficult to avoid.

The housing sector of today represents for almost 40% of the energy consumption, an energy consumption of which the major part consists of non-renewable energy sources. This is not sustainable and utilization of new energy-efficient technologies in buildings can be a step in the right direction, towards a sustainable energy society.This report has been made on behalf of and in cooperation with Älvstranden Utveckling AB in Gothenburg to examine how future energy-efficient technologies can affect the energy demand in energy-efficient multi-dwelling buildings.The report is based on Älvstrandens passive house, Hamnhuset, a house whose energy consumption is far below the BBR's requirements. The report looks at the opportunities for improvement within windows, insulation, solar energy technologies, as well as white goods. Computer simulations are then made to apply the selected technologies into a reference building. Technologies are selected from an energy efficient perspective and no account has been taken of other aspects such as the economy.
Moraliskt ansvar i privat konsumtion
The aim of this essay is to find out how students at Malmö University relate to moral responsibility in their private consumption. I am going to test moral theories in order to find out if researchers have a too moral starting point in comparison to everyday use.
Through a critical research, free from valuation, I also aim to raise a discussion about moral responsibility which should lead to fair trade in the long run. My essay discusses the subject out of a Swedish city, Malmö - a place where many stores, cafés and restaurant are using moral responsibility as a step in their marketing.
The results show that students are interested in morality but their financial conditions are their prior factor..
Bestämning av organisk halt i avloppsvatten med Total Organic Carbon (TOC)-analys
Kommunalt avloppsvatten innehåller stora mängder föroreningar bland annat organiskt material som påverkar organismerna i naturen. Reningsverken runtom i Sverige arbetar ständigt för att minimera utsläppen av föroreningar. Det är viktigt att kontinuerligt analysera vattnets kvalité för att kontrollera reningsverkets funktion. Total Organic Carbon (TOC) och Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) är två analysmetoder som används för att mäta organisk halt i avloppsvatten. Från COD-analysen uppkommer farligt avfall som innehåller kvicksilver varför analysmetoden enligt EU-direktiv ska fasas ut.
Ung och full : en kvantitativ studie om ungas riskbruk av alkohol
Recent statistic shows that about 28% of adolescents living in Stockholm drink alcohol at such a high level that their consumption counts as risky drinking. The correct term to use in this matter would be binge drinking adolescents. In the more wealthy areas of Stockholm this group of binge drinking adolescents counts for as much as a third of the population. In contrast, the adolescents living in exposed areas do not drink nearly as much. Binge drinking adolescents in these areas only counts for 15%, nearly half as much as in the wealthy areas.In light of this the intentions of this study is to investigate which explanatory factors that can clarify the range-rated differences in binge drinking between adolescents in Stockholm.
Svårigheter i andraspråksinlärning för invandrarungdomar i Sverige
I den här uppsatsen behandlas vad som är svårt för svenska invandrarelever när det gäller att lära sig svenska som andra språk, både utifrån målen i kursplanen och vad elever och verksamma lärare generellt anser är svårt. I uppsatsen studeras även hur lärare kan arbeta för att elevernas språkutveckling ska bli maximal. Materialet som uppsatsen bygger på är dels fakta från forskare och lärare inom ämnet, dels en enkätundersäkning som är gjord på elever som går i grundskolans senare del, samt intervjuer med tre lärare i svenska som andra språk. Enkätundersökningen består mestadels av uppgifter eleverna själva skulle göra. Någon enstaka uppgift behöver de själva svara på med egna ord.

Optimization of Burner Kiln 7, Cementa Slite
In this report focus is put on the combustion process at a cement plant. Combustion is the
heart of the cement making process and absolutely crucial to have under full control and well
optimized.
The fuel is put into the process through a burner pipe and this burner pipe is modified to
reach a more efficient combustion. The primary target is to enable burning of heterogeneous
alternative fuels and increase the production level. Other positive effects from this type of
optimization is lowered specific fuel consumption and lowered CO2 emissions.
A redundant burner is chosen for the project and overall the project steps are the following:

temperature changes.

Food consumption generates externalities such as carbon dioxide emissions, which contribute to global warming. The principal issue is that emissions are not covered by the "polluter pays principle". For this reason, new policy instruments need to be tested and implemented to correct the externalities. In food production, beef and dairy production has the largest environmental impact in terms of carbon emissions. As food is a necessity, simply reducing production will not solve the problem.

En färsk inspektion på skolor runt om i landet visar tydliga tecken på att bollspel och bollen överlag är flitigt använda på idrottslektionerna. Samma underökning visar också att närvaron hos elever i den svenska skolan på idrottsundervisningen varierar stort. Idrotten har enligt många tappat sin identitet och kursplanerna beskrivs som oklara, vilket direkt påverkar eleverna. Syftet med vår undersökning var därför att se idrottsundervisningen ur elevernas perspektiv och få tydlighet i vilket förhållande elever har till ämnet idrott och hälsa. Genom en enkätundersökning på tre olika skolor med 109 respondenter har vi sökt förståelse.

With the increases in fuel costs due to the depletion of the world oil reserves and the increase of greenhouse gasses as a consequence to using oil as a fuel many companies are looking to new and innovative ways to power their aircraft. One of these new ways to power an aircraft is using fuel cells powered using hydrogen and oxygen, thus producing nothing but water vapour and small amounts of nitrogen dioxide as well as trace amounts of other emissions. Both Boeing (1) and Politecnico di Torino (2) have shown that it is possible to build an all-electric aircraft powered by fuel cells. Both flights used small, two-seater aircraft and a constant between them was the loss of the co-pilot seat due to weight and lack of space. As this paper will deal with a commercial aircraft a primary concern is the cargo and passenger capacity and whatever impact switching propulsion system has on these.
