Rapporten innefattar en teoretisk analys av ett vindkraftsverks propeller. Syftet har varit att underlätta tillverkandet av en propeller, med hänsyn till bladens vridning och en varierande vindhastighet.Det tänkta vindkraftverkets ingående parametrar finns att studera i Bilaga 1 ? Ingående parametrar. Utifrån dessa parametrar kunde en maximal effektkoefficient på 0.51 uppnås, vilket skulle motsvara en effekt på 417 kW som i sin tur motsvarar en försörjning av ungefär 40 hushåll.Analysen omfattar även pitchreglering, som syftar till att behålla hög effektivitet hos vindkraftverket, även om vindhastigheten varierar..

The purpose with this study is to compare different systems of grain storage from a financial point of view. Grain that is supposed to be fed to laying hens. The systems that were compared were different airtight storage of grain and a system of conventional storage. To make this case study I choose to compare four different systems. In the case study there was one system with bin drying of the grain, two systems with airtight storage of the grain and one system where you buy dried grain during the season. I made several of capital investment appraisal where I found the cost of each system, then I took the cost and divided it with the total grain use and calculated the cost for each kilogram of grain, and also the cost of the feed. Then I compared the cost from my case study with the cost of buying feed. All the systems except for one, gave a lower cost for the hen feed than buying feed from a dealer The best system, witch were bin drying lower the cost with about 80 000:- SEK.

I denna magisteruppsats har kassagränssnittet som används på kosmetikkedjan The Body shop utvärderats med avseende på hur det stödjer säljarna i sitt arbete. Syftet har varit att se vad säljares kognitiva belastning är under deras arbete och att ta fram ett kassagränssnitt som minskar denna. Studien har genomgått tre faser där den första, ?Undersökningen?, syftade till att undersöka vilken typ av kognitiv belastning säljarna utsätts för. Detta studerades genom att säljare intervjuades och observerades under användning av det befintliga kassasystemet.

At the beginning of 2011, Sweden started using the European rules for structural design, the Eurocodes, instead of the previous national rules. Dairy cows transform grass to milk with help from ruminal microorganisms that can digest indigestible fiber in their feed. The digestive system of the cow is adapted to a diet consisting of forage and disorders like acidosis, laminitis and abomasal displacement can occur if the feed contains too much starch. To achieve the highest production possible the cow has to be given a high amount of concentrate or grain as the difference in milk yield is significant, approximately 1000 kg energy corrected milk per cow and year between conventional and organic cows that are fed a lower versus a higher share of forage. If the cow shall be able to eat the same amount of energy from forage as from grain or concentrate the eating- and rumination time gets longer and she might not be able to eat enough, which will result in a lower milk yield and will make it harder for the cow to recover from the negative energy balance that originate from the beginning of the lactation. Fat and in a sense protein content differs also depending on if the cow is given a high or low share of forage..

The United Nations is an important organization when it comes to international peace and security. Recent events in international politics, however, have brought about a widespread concern about the abilities of the organization. Powerful states have shosen to act outside of the organization to achieve their goals. They have furthermore a disproportionate influence on the decision-making body, the Security Council.The aim of this essay is to examine wheather UN can function productively as keeper of the international peace and security in the political climate of today, and to find out to what extent the powerful states harm the organization. I use a theoretical article, concerning states relations to international organisations, to analyse the acts of powerful states in UN.

The last decades the increased computerisation at the places of work has led to new physical loads in the working life and new demands on the working environment. The widespread usage of computers in the working life has led to more sedentary work and less daily movement.The purpose of the thesis is to develop a new product to a concept that in a low intensive and healthy promotional way will activate the body. The product will make a combination of healthy promotion activity and work during office hours possible and primary aims to those with a sedentary office work, which leads to that the body don´t get to be activated in the extent needed.Information has been gathered from studies already made in this area, interviews plus a study and an experiment. From the gathered information concepts and functional solutions has been generated and evaluated to result in a product concept.The thesis has resulted in a concept that consists of a work place unit where the user walks on a treadmill and works at the same time.A general conclusion which can be drawn is that the majority of persons that tested to walk and simultaneously work with a computor on the treadmill found this way of working attractive. Many were positively surprised and said that they would use such an physically activating work place implement if it was available at their place of work..

During the last decade of the twentieth century both ?manhood? and gender studies seems to have undergone changes. With the field of masculinity and the critical studies of men, added as ?subsections? of broader gender studies, new knowledge has been produced to better grasp the production of gender and power relations of patriarchy. During the same decade as the ?metrosexual? first appeared of the urban stage, acts of homophobia and attitudes towards ?manhood? seems to have changed.

The study focuses on the use of poetry in language teaching in the lower grades in the Swedish school. Poetry has a reputation of being an art form with such specific rules and structures that children and teachers think that it is something that they do not have the ability to work with.  The purpose of this study is to get an understanding of how poetry is used in educating children. My research is based on the following questions. To which extent is poetry being used in schools and how is it being used?Can you as a teacher see any effects on childrens language development by using poetry?As a part of my study I have met with and interviewed four different people, who in one way or another is involved in teaching children. Two working teachers in the lower grades, one pedagogical resource and one artist that work with teachers in reaching different goals through the help of aesthetic processes.

Inledning: Prevalensen av karies och övervikt/fetma hos barn och ungdomar beskrivs kort. Syfte: Att kartlägga och analysera studier som undersökt sambandet mellan kariesprevalens och BMI hos barn och ungdomar. Följande frågeställningar ska besvaras: Finns det en korrelation mellan kariesprevalens och BMI? Har gruppen överviktiga barn och ungdomar högre kariesprevalens? Har gruppen underviktiga barn och ungdomar högre kariesprevalens? Metod: Frågeställningarna besvaras med hjälp av en systematisk litteraturöversikt. Resultat: Utav sammanställningens 28 artiklar visade 14 på samband mellan karies och BMI och lika många visade inget samband.

SammanfattningSyfteSyftet med denna studie var att ta reda på om akut visuell biofeedback i form av EMG, från qudriceps och hamstrings kan öka knäextensorernas muskelaktivitet samt styrkeutvecklingen, vid en maximal viljemässig isokinetisk benspark (20o.s-1). MetodTotalt deltog 19 aktiva och motiverade försökspersoner, 9 kvinnor och 10 män, i denna studie. Försökspersonerna rekryterades under förutsättningarna att de inte hade några knäskador samt att de inte bedrev någon typ av kontinuerlig styrketräning för benen. Testet bestod av två omgångar koncentriska och excentriska maximala viljemässiga isokinetiska muskelaktioner (MVC) för respektive ben. Knävinkelhastigheten var 20o.s-1 och rörelseomfånget var 60o, från120o till 180o där 180o motsvarar sträckt knä. EMG-feedback från knämuskulaturen visades endast i omgång två då försökspersonen utförde kontraktioner med höger ben.

Det har blivit viktigare för företag att visa sitt engagemang för att gynna hållbar utveckling samt att se till att människor behandlas på ett sätt som anses etiskt rätt. Detta i och med att företagens intressenter, till exempel kunder och aktieägare, blivit allt mer medvetna och ställer större krav. Att arbeta med ett sådant ansvarstagande kallas för att arbeta med Corporate Social Responsibility, vilket förkortas CSR. CSR-arbete förekommer bland annat inom kosmetikabranschen där det miljömässiga, sociala och etiska ansvaret står i fokus, men även det ekonomiska är viktigt eftersom företaget också har ett ansvar gentemot sina aktieägare.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate whether the lower secondary school teaching in religion leads to a positive understanding and openness, concerning different religions and cultures. We want to study how pupils in grade eight and nine in two lower secondary schools in a multicultural community comprehend different religions. Since we choose a pupils perspective we decided to do a questionnaire to get a wide ground. As a complement we interviewed twelve pupils and also did observations during their religion classes. During our study we focused on three different themes.

The competitive nature of the automotive industry has always implied a necessity to improve product development concerning time-to-market, cost and product quality. As capacity of computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools has evolved, so has the strive for simulation-driven design. Virtual durability testing using full vehicle models is one of many challenges posed in front of vehicle manufacturers when computer simulations are given a key role in product development.This thesis has been initiated as a preliminary step towards implementing dynamic virtual durability testing in the development of buses and coaches at Scania. The objective has been to assess the predictability of a full vehicle coach model and to what level of precision structural loads can be predicted. Previously performed proving ground testing of a Scania Touring coach has been the basis for the modelling and simulations in this thesis.A virtual model of the Scania Touring coach has been created in multi-body simulation software package MSC.Adams.
