The aim of this study is to describe, from a didactic point of view, wether gender norms are challenged and sex equality is maintained when two teachers in grade one communicate with their pupils. This is based on the existing norms in our society which generates into certain expectations of how one should act depending on wether you are a girl or a boy. In addition to this, the lack of equality between women and men is a global question. The norms and conditions in society are reproduced, but can also be deconstructed in school (Martinsson and Reimers 2008, p. 8).

Studiens syftar till att undersöka elevers uppfattningar om matematik och matematikundervisning. Arbetet består av en litteraturgenomgång och en empirisk del där intervjuer med åtta elever ingår.Både den teoretiskaoch den empiriska delen behandlar tre områden. Dessa områden är: - Varför har vi matematik i skolan? - Vad är matematik?- Hur bedrivs matematikundervisning? Den teoretiska studien beskriver frågeställningarna utifrån hur forskare, författare och lärare ser på det. Inom denna del inryms även en beskrivning om hur undervisning skulle kunna se ut i praktiken.

Tidigare undersökningar visar att nästan nio av tio gymnasieskolor använder sig av produkter från en dominerande aktör, nämligen Microsoft. Syftet med vår studie var att undersöka varför svenska gymnasieskolan inte använder sig av alternativ såsom öppen källkod och fri programvara i större utsträckning. Vi valde att avgränsa oss till att studera till den vanligast förekommande programvaran, såsom operativsystem, kontorsprogram och webbläsare. Vidare valde vi att lägga fokus på de datorer som står till elevernas förfogande. Vi genomförde en kvalitativ undersökning, baserad på intervjuer med respondenter som representerar 10 kommuner i Skåne län.

According to TCO (The Swedish Confederation for Professional Employees) the worst threat to the Swedish welfare is that so many people because of bad health and unemployment are not a part of the labour force. If Sweden could make the number of people with health and unemployment problems half the size as today, the GDP would increase with more than five percent. In real money this means 110 billion Swedish kronor a year. According to SCB (Statistics Sweden) the difference between women?s and men?s absence owing to illness should be investigated more closely in order to get at better understanding of the problem.

Syftet med denna studie är att studera elevers svårigheter i hanterandet av matematikuppgifter gällande omkrets och area samt att undersöka hur elevers kunskaper motsvarar kursplanens uppnående- och strävansmål. Kvalitativt inriktade intervjuer har använts som undersökningsmetod, då studiens huvudsakliga syfte har varit att på djupet undersöka och ge exempel på elevers förståelse. Elevsvaren har analyserats utifrån hur representationsformer, begreppsuttryck och innehåll används gällande omkrets, area och kursplanens mål. Eleverna visar svårigheter gällande omkrets- och areamätning och areakonservering, vilket utgör uppnåendemål inom målet att kunna undersöka matematiska problem och uttrycka sig muntligt med hjälp av grundläggande matematiska begrepp. Elevernas förståelse ökar när de får visa och förklara sin förståelse muntligt och med hjälp av bilder..

There is an increasing demand for information literacy, which is mirrored in curriculum throughout the whole educational system. This, in turn, has brought forward a growing need for librarians who can teach. But do librarians possess pedagogical competence, and if they do, how is this ability used in everyday library practice? The aim of this study is to investigate librarians' conceptions of the pedagogical role, as it is expressed in their didactic interaction with the users. The research questions focus on librarians' experiences of teaching information seeking and use and their activities in this respect.

Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka vad lärare bedömer och vad de upplever vara väsentligt att elever lär sig i matematik. Vi har utgått från aktuell litteratur som vi bedömt som relevant för vårt arbete. Vi har gjort kvalitativa intervjuer med åtta lärare i den kommunala skolan som arbetar i olika samhällen. Intervjusvaren har vi kategoriserat för att resultatet ska bli mer lättöverskådligt. Vi har analyserat svaren och kommit fram till att lärarna är mycket läromedelsbundna.

The aim of this study is to obtain a deep knowledge about identity creation of preschool child-ren at the age of four to sex with creative pictures and its aesthetic learning processes with childrens perspective as a starting-point. The issues that I have used in this study are how childrens identity creation relates to the aesthetic learning processes in the preschool enviro-ment, how children experience the figuration of their own identity related to other individuals and the enviroment by taking different positions in aesthetic learning processes and how childrens identity creation becomes visible in preschool.In order to explore preschool childrens identity creation in aesthetic learning processes the qualitative research-oriented approach has been implemented with unstructured observations and the informal interview as the methods for data acquiring.This studys theoretical points are sociocultural perspective and symbolic interactionism. Both these theoretical perspectives emphasize the significance of communication, taking different perspectives and learning in an interaction between an individual and enviroment within given sociocultural frames of referens which results in an individuals identity development.Results from the study show that childrens painting is more than an occupation with a picture as a product. Childrens painting is rather a playfull aesthetic expression form and a relation-oriented, dynamic learning process which is related to the enriching of individual self, the consciousness and the creation of meaning within preschools frames of reference.My expectation is that my study will contribute to didactic discussions about childrens iden-tity creation while using aesthetic expression forms..

By submitting a questionnaire to all professions within the groups I have tried to find similarities and differences in their statements from both structured and unstructured questions. The study is an attempt to contribute knowledge about how these groups can be understood and developed, based on a special education perspective, systems theory and sense of coherence (KASAM). The results shows that there is a consensus among the majority of staff opinions of the systems? opportunities as well as dilemmas.

Aim: The purpose of the study was to investigate how the assessment and grading is designed and practiced in the practical courses of physical education at GIH - the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences, along with how it could affect newly graduated physical education teachers? ability to assess and grade students. The study was based on Habermas?s system and life-world theory.What view occurs concerning proficiencies, basis for assessment and marking among teachers who are responsible for examinations within physical education at GIH?How is the examination structured within physical education at GIH?How are skills and proficiencies among assessment and marking further mediated to students in the teacher education at GIH?Method: The case study was realized by performing qualitative interviews with a total of four teachers at physical education at GIH. Additionally, syllabi were text-analyzed to improve the validity of the study.Results: From the results we found that the teachers experience marking as a complicated assignment, where particularly the didactic ability but also the practical ability form a formative and summative assessment.

Differences between groups or individuals in a society with regards to access to information and communication technologies (ICTs) are known as the digital divide. The digital divide pertains to differences in physical access to computers and the Internet as well as knowledgein using technology. Important factors affecting the digital divide are disabilities, age, gender, socioeconomical background, ethnicity and geography. The digital divide appears on several levels: internationally, nationally, regionally and locally. Individuals who, for some reason, have limited or no access to information and communication technologies risk, among other things, to experience social exclusion.

The scope of this master´s thesis is the issue of usability in relation to interface design,in particular the interface of a university library´s online public accessed catalogue, orOPAC. Since the OPAC can be seen as the library´s ?shop window? to the world, it isof great importance that the interface to the OPAC can be used by patrons witheffectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction.The master´s thesis is based on a qualitative study performed at Karolinska InstitutetsUniversity library, and contains both a usability evaluation and an interview study. Twointerfaces were evaluated: a standard web interface provided by the system supplier, andan interface developed in-house by Karolinska Institutet´s systems department. The major focus in this study is structural inequalities in primary school in Sweden. UNESCO points out that in many developing countries, up to 40% of the children perform at or below the lowest proficiency level in language and mathematics. Sweden has been criticized by the UN about the large differences in educational achievements between different regions. Based on an official study Sweden considers that those differences are related to ethnically segregate residential areas. My research question is whether the Swedish government takes adequate consideration of the impact that socioeconomically aspects have on educational achievement.

The purpose of this study is to examine senior high school students? strategies and reasoning when solving mathematical problems and make a review of the concept problem solving. The purpose is also to examine if the students? choice of strategies are influenced when their mathematical knowledge is improved.The study was conducted in two science classes at a senior high school. All the students were asked to individually solve two mathematical problems.

Svenska såväl som utländska myndigheter har insett vikten av att utveckla webbsidor för bland annat lokala myndigheter. Forskare på Nya Zeeland har sammanställt ett antal nyckelfaktorer som de funnit användbara vid utveckling av e-myndigheter i USA och därefter undersökt om dessa är användbara även på Nya Zeeland. Deras resultat visade på ett behov av ytterligare forskning och den här uppsatsen har därför använt en kvantitativ metod i form av en webbaserad enkät för att undersöka dessa nyckelfaktorers betydelse i Sverige. Undersökningen visade på att flera av nyckelfaktorerna anses viktiga men att det i vissa fall saknas förståelse för dem på lokal nivå. De slutsatser som dragits visar på ett fortsatt forskningsbehov om de 16 nyckelfaktorerna men även på att det krävs utbildning och stöd åt de lokala myndigheterna för att alla i landet skall få likvärdig service oavsett vilken kommun man är bosatt i..
