Att arbeta ämnesintegrerat med matematikEn studie kring lärares syn på ämnesintegrerad undervisningSyftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur lärare såg på ämnesintegrerad undervisning i matematik. I denna studie undersöktes några lärares syn på ämnesintegrerad undervisning. För att försöka förstå och beskriva respondenternas vardag användes den etnografiska forskningsmetoden. De metoder som användes för att samla in data till studien var deltagande observationer och intervjuer. De resultat och slutsatser som framkom i denna studie var att lärare kände att det var viktigt att ge eleverna en möjlighet till djupare förståelse för hur de praktiskt kan använda matematiska verktyg och begrepp.

I denna systematiska litteraturstudie sammanställs forskning om ämnet utomhusmatematik. Insamlingen av datan har skett via sökningar i databasen ERIC (Ebsco) efter vetenskapligt granskade artiklar. Artiklarna har analyserats och resultatet av studien har gett en tydligare inblick av utomhusmatematik, men även om utomhuspedagogik. Det som återkommer är sambandet mellan matematiken och elevernas vardag, att eleverna måste förstå dessa kopplingar för att kunna utvecklas i matematiken. Studien har visat på vikten av elevdelaktighet, problemlösning samt för- respektive nackdelar med utomhusmatematik.

The report examines the factors which may be a contributing cause to the problems that are present when ferritic stainless steel are eddy current tested in a warm condition. The work is carried out at Fagersta Stainless AB in Fagersta which manufactures stainless steel wire. In the rolling mill there is an eddy current equipment for detection of surface defects on the wire. The ferritic stainless steels cause a noise when testing and this noise complicates the detection of defects.Because of this, a study was made of how the noise related to factors such as steel grade, temperature, size and velocity. By observing the signal and with the possibilities to change the equipment settings the capability to let a signal filter reduce the noise level were evaluated.

Studiens syfte är att undersöka elevers uppfattningar om matematik och hur mycket och vad lärare vet om sina elevers uppfattningar. Syftet är även att undersöka vad lärare anser om användbarheten av kunskaper om enskilda elevers uppfattningar. Studien innehåller en teoretisk och en empirisk del. En fallstudie har genomförts i en klass i år 6. Den empiriska delen är uppdelad i tre delar; elevenkäten, lärarenkäten och lärarintervjuerna.

With background in the rapidly growing need to find solutions for sustainable energy production and the increasing interest for wind power, this report was written. With take-off point from the wind power plant Big Glenn, which has been built in the harbour of Gothenburg, a model of the adjacent power grid has been created in Simulink/SimPowerSystems. Parameters for the power grid and its components has been provided by Göteborg Energi Nät, that has also been the supplier of measurement data of produced power, the power need from loads in the vicinity, voltage levels, current values and also the variation of power factor at the wind power plant.The SimPowerSystems model has been used to perform simulations of power flow in the grid. These simulated values have then been compared to the measured values to verify the functionality of the model. Further, the model has been used to perform simulations of a grid fault, which causes a voltage drop.

The primary data has been collected through personal interviews and since the respondents were selected strategically, this means that a non-probability sampling was used. The secondary data that has been used for this thesis was based largely on literature, articles and the Nyby Torshälla Riding Club website.Conclusion: This study indicates how small size service companies can benefit from nurturing their customer relationships.

AbstractThe aim of this study was to examine to what extent documentation of pain assessment with Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) on patients with pain problems was carried out. The study also explored how the documentation followed the existing guidelines of pain. The material was analyzed with descriptive statistics and a qualitative content analysis. The results shows that 43,24 % of total 37 analyzed patient records contained documentation of pain with VAS on the day of hospitalization. All studied journals contained documentation of pain.

The report is a master thesis about energy efficient measures for an underground facility Hemsö fortress.Several proposals are evaluated economically.Statistics of the electricity used and measurements of several heat pumps are analyzed to find energysavings potentials.The results indicate that several units of a dehumidification system are responsible for over 70 % of theyearly electricity cost. The air that is being dehumidified by these units can otherwise cause damage ofculturally important interior designs.The proposal with highest profit suggests an alternative method for dehumidification. The cooler in theair handling units in Hemsö fortress have capacity to dehumidify the air. However complementary fansneed to be installed to circulate humid air towards the air handling units. The solution can be implementedin three different locations within the facility.

Mitt syfte med detta examensarbete är att se hur man bör hantera elever med behov av särskilt stöd i matematik. För att få en bättre förståelse för ämnesvalet har jag läst i litteraturen om hur vanligt förekommande matematiksvårigheterna är, vilka hinder som finns för inlärning i matematik samt hur man ska hantera eleverna med behov av särskilt stöd. Dessutom har jag genomfört en undersökning i år 6 på två olika skolor. Jag har intervjuat lärare och speciallärare om hur de hanterar de elever som inte nådde upp till godkänt på det nationella provet i matematik i år 5. Jag har även studerat skolornas kommunala skolplaner samt lokala arbetsplaner, för att se vilka riktlinjer som ges i arbetet med elever i behov av särskilt stöd.

Everything will be done one step at a time and the declaration will change the way the students are being graded, all this for the sake of making the European labour-market moreopened for all of its millions of students.In Växjö this process is in the making, but to adapt to the future demands the school must also change its ways of teaching.To increase its quality the University has put together a procedure of actions to improve the pedagogical working method in all its institutions. In this paper I study how the repeal of the Swedish wealth tax (1 of January 2007) has affected people´s labour supply behaviour. This particular issue is relevant because it may help us understand some of the effects of the earnings tax changes that have taken place in Sweden. Accoring to standard economic theory a repealed wealth tax is similar to an income effect for the persons who previously paid the tax. That means that they theoretically will want to consume more leisure, that is decrease their labour supply. The method I am using to test this hypothesis is a difference-in-difference approach where the treatment group consists of persons who previously paid the tax and the control group of comparable persons who did not pay the tax.

The world today is experiencing an AI summer, urging us to engage with its technologies on a daily basis. Recently, researchers have begun to voice concerns about the potential risks if we do not address the inherent biases in these systems. After all, AI is merely code based on mathematics produced by humans. This essay focuses on Stable Diffusion and Midjourney to examine biases in fashion representation and how fashion is visualized and reproduced concerning race, social class, and culture. A series of prompts were intentionally written in simple terms such as ?rich,? ?poor,? and ?race.? The results revealed troubling biases, as these programs consistently depicted poor individuals as people of color and portrayed wealthy, elegantly dressed individuals as exclusively white..

Syftet med denna studie är att uppmärksamma och synliggöra fritidshemmets material för att öka barnens intresse för matematik. Studien tar även upp hur pedagogerna stimulerar barnen lärande och utveckling i det matematiska tänkandet. Pedagogerna intervjuades med öppna frågor för att ta tillvara deras individuella åsikter. Resultaten presenteras i olika delkapitel. Ur resultatet framkom att samtliga pedagoger använder sig av fritidshemmets material och aktiviteter för att hjälpa barnen att utveckla sitt matematiska tänkande.

Abstract This research is about outdoor education as a pedagogical method, and its purpose is to find out six teachers thoughts about outdoor learning, and their experiences about this method.Many philosophers and advocates for the outdoor education claims that learning is best acquired when children uses all their senses and that school subjects that are thought in the classrooms also can be thought outdoors.  Studies have shown that children´s health and learning ability increase when they are thought outdoors.Interviews and observations have been done.My questions are: How do the teachers practice outdoor education in their classes and what is the result? Which subjects do they use in outdoor education? This essay examines migration paths through Sweden. There has been a debate in August 2010 that Sweden is regarded as a backdoor for non European immigrants to come over Denmark. It has been discovered through Denmark?s statistics and is regarded as negative by the Danish government.
