The aim of this paper is to investigate and analyze practices in multilingual classrooms of mathematics in a compulsory school in Sweden where immigrant students have been known to succeed. The school is situated in a suburban and segregated area outside a major city where pupils come from mainly limited socio-economic backgrounds. The rate of second language learners are 70% of all pupils in this school.By using ethnographic methods, mainly interviews and participant observation, data was collected in four mathematics classrooms which corresponded to consecutive ages of education. The data include field notes and observation of artifacts in the environment as well as interviews and informal conversations with teachers and school leadership. Information from the school website, the authority in charge of quality in Swedish schools (Skolverket) and the municipality were also used.The analysis is based on a socio-political viewpoint that power is relational and reflected within schools.

The objective of this research is to unveil how respective teacher consider about the laboratory working methods in mathematics. The research even includes answers to questions such as, what approaches and attitudes the teachers have and the methods they use when instructing their students when teaching mathematics, what the materials used by the teachers are and how important working creatively is to help the students develop their logical thinking. I also looked into issues that can help understand how and why teachers use laboratory mathematics for students in young ages. As a conclusion the research showed that the teachers aim to the goal that includes helping the students understand mathematics, strengthen their logical thinking and creativity.In the method section qualitative data was used, which contained four interviews with different pedagogues that daily interact with students in elementary school. The reasons for using the method of qualitative data was to help me deeper understand and answer the specific questions I had to the pedagogues and to even compare how different pedagogues differ in their approaches and methods.

Uppsatsen är ett resultat av en explorativ studie som undersöker projektledarens uppfattning av interaktionsdesign ur ett resursperspektiv. Detta görs genom en kvalitativ undersökning med projektledare för systemutvecklingsprojekt. Utifrån vilka det gjordes en nulägesrapport om hur vida resurserna som läggs på interaktionsdesign är adekvata. För att få en ytterligare aspekt på behovet intervjuades även en interaktionsdesignskonsult. Studiens resultat visade att det skiljer sig mellan olika typer av projekt hur vidare tillräckligt med resurser läggs ner på interaktionsdesign.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att bidra med kunskap om hur Use Cases kan användas och omdet fanns en möjlighet att återanvända dem. Use Cases är ett av de mest användaverktygen för modellering, de beskriver en sekvens av en händelse som inskaffar ettmätbart värde. Use Cases fångar funktionaliteten i olika situationer. Vår studie varkoncentrerad på skillnaden mellan Use Cases så som vi uppfattat Rational UnifiedProcess (RUP) modell jämfört med Telecas återanvändbara Use Cases. According to TCO (The Swedish Confederation for Professional Employees) the worst threat to the Swedish welfare is that so many people because of bad health and unemployment are not a part of the labour force. If Sweden could make the number of people with health and unemployment problems half the size as today, the GDP would increase with more than five percent. In real money this means 110 billion Swedish kronor a year. According to SCB (Statistics Sweden) the difference between women?s and men?s absence owing to illness should be investigated more closely in order to get at better understanding of the problem.

In my study I have chosen to examine the mathematics in children's free play and everyday situations, with focus on sorting and classification. The purpose of the study was to see how children express their mathematical knowledge. I have chosen to use a qualitative method in my examination, here I did observations in a children's group where the children were between three and six years old. I also did interviews with the teacher's on the department to see how they relate to the mathematics and how they formulate the department to achieve as good a learning environment as possible.The result shows that the teacher's approach is incredible important to the children's learning ability and that they are always present to challenge and discuss together with the children. The observation indicates that children use mathematics all the time in their everyday situations and that it is the interaction between individuals and environment that affects children's development. .

During the timber floating era, most of Sweden?s watercourses were altered. This decreased the amount of available spawning habitats for salmonids, and hence had a negative effect on the riverine brown trout (Salmo trutta) populations. Reconstruction of spawning grounds is today a common measure in restoration of altered streams in Sweden. However, very little evaluation of the effectiveness of these reconstructed spawning grounds exists.

Predicting corporate failure is an increasingly important topic in the world of economics today. This paper, with the help of the credit ranking company Syna AB, aims to investigate a few different statistic strategies to do just that. This task is accomplished by using a data material of 250 000 Swedish companies divided into two subsamples. The first sample is used to develop the model and the second as a validation sample. The model developing sample holds 160 000 companies divided into five different subgroups based on size and age.

The aim with this master thesis is to analyze a scientific material concerning the context between learning and child/student development, and factors which controls process of learning, to create an image with quality account and teaching in mathematics, which then can raise the mathematical knowledge among students.The phenomena which stand in focus for the investigation is: why there is a negative tendency for development of knowledge in mathematics, among the Swedish students that TIMSSs investigations showed in intercultural comparison within the years 1993, 1999, 2003 and 2007.The method is the ethnographical method, which is based on: analyzing scientific theories about learning child/student development, factors which controls process of learning, and factors which controls process of learning the most and qualitative empiric investigation with qualitatively analyzes the questionnaires, which is about factors which are controlling the process of learning and factors which are controlling the process of learning the most.Result of the theoretical and empiric analyzes shows that factors as school environment, attitude for subjects and teaching, controls and influence the learning. To end a unenthusiastic tendency as a negative development of mathematical knowledge among students that is shown in TIMSS investigation and to elevate the students' performance in mathematics, an elevated qualitative account and teaching in mathematics, by the factors named. Safe school environments as the intercultural meeting place, the teachers influence part to the students' subjects' attitude in mathematics and goal related grading criteria in teaching, is all required for e qualitative teaching in mathematics..

Denna magisteruppsats handlar om lärande och hur det påverkar individer, projekt och organisationer. EU: s nya satsning på 450 millioner euro, för 2005, visar att fenomenet lärande är ett, i allra högsta grad, aktuellt ämne. Det förs en diskussion om varför lärandet finns och på vilket sätt det inverkar på projektprocessen. Det redogörs även för olika sätt att se på projekt och hur det står gentemot process samt hur stress, tid, kostnad och lärandet står i perspektiv till detta. Organisationer har under den senaste tiden gjort stora ansträngningar för att integrera informationssystem med målsättningen att uppnå en ökad effektivitet men utan större framgång. Vi vill identifiera rådande kritiska framgångsfaktorer och deras påverkan på portallösningar. Utifrån syftet identifierade vi två centrala områden för litteraturstudien, närmare bestämt ?Enterprise Application Integration? (EAI) och kritiska framgångsfaktorer (CSF). Insamling av empirisk data gjordes i form av intervjuer på ett kvalitativt tillvägagångssätt.

Denna uppsats behandlar vilka negativa konsekvenser som kan uppstå vid outsourcing av digitala tjänster i en service-oriented architecture (SOA) miljö. Uppsatsen behandlar endast negativa konsekvenser i relation till kontrollen över den information som existerar i de tjänster och i de affärsprocesser som utgörs av tjänster som outsourcas. Syftet och resultatet av uppsatsen är en punktlista som presenterar dessa konsekvenser. Empiriskt material har samlats in genom användningen av ett teoretiskt ramverk som varit ämnat att ta reda på vad och hur tjänster är och hur dessa kan kopplas mot outsourcing. Swedish students' knowledge of both mathematics and reading comprehension has deteriorated in recent years. Scientists are discussing whether there is a connection between these areas and that the pupils deteriorating math skills may have something to do with their increasingly lower results in terms of reading comprehension. To investigate this possible connection, I conducted a survey among students in ninth grade and have come to the conclusion that the scientists are right: this connection absolutely exist. Students who received a high score on tasks designed to test students' mathematical problem-solving skills, also received high results on the reading comprehension test. And students who received a poor performance on the problem-solving tasks, were also low performers in the reading comprehension test.

Elektroniska böcker är ett relativt nytt koncept som inte riktigt gjort några stora landvinningar, trots att ny teknik kommit och framsteg görs. Syftet med uppsatsen är att se vilka brister som finns i utlåningssystem för e-böckerna. Med hjälp av en kvalitativ undersökningsmetod tar vi en närmare titt på Malmö och Lunds stadsbiblioteks hemsidor. Intervjuer av bibliotekspersonal och användbarhetstest samt en teorigenomgång är basen för vår undersökning. Med hjälp av detta ville vi se vilka brister som fanns vid utlåning, ur ett användbarhetsperspektiv, och dra våra slutsatser utifrån de resultat vi fått.
