This bachelor thesis in tourism studies focuses on people's use of social media related to travel. The paper aims to provide a wider knowledge of tourist?s propensity to display destinations through social media and how they perceive others that display travelling. This is put in relation to the term of social status in order to find out if there is a possible link. The intention was to provide an insight into the phenomenon to contribute new awareness that destinations can exploit in their marketing.

Thee purpose of this study was to examine what helps in counseling against women victims of domestic violence, and how to identify empowerment in their experiences? It is a qualitative study using semi-structured interviews where the collected material is based on five interviews. The group we studied is victims of domestic violence who had taken part of counseling. The interviews were based on an interview guide that sought answers to women´s experience of counseling. The interviews were analyzed with the help of theories of support, domestic violence and empowerment.

I studien undersöks personalens kompetens och bemötande och hur de arbetar med psykosociala och pedagogiska stödinsatser. Undersökningen baseras på en enkät undersökning med 40 utvalda HVB hem som tar emot ungdomar med funktionshindret ADHD. Resultatet av denna kvantitativa undersökning visar att kompetensen och bemötandet är gott och att psykosociala och behandlingspedagogiska stödinsatser används i stor utsträckning.

This essay aims to investigate the perceptions of responsible personnel in a primary school about the use and importance of EQ, emotional intelligence, in the school's early years. With a hermeneutic approach and by qualitative interviews, we have taken note of the respondents perceptions about EQ. The result shows that EQ can be understood in different ways. Instead of having a common understanding of what EQ is the respondents mention that there are different areas associated with EQ.  Two major results are 1.

In the aftermath of three high-profile honor killings the social service administrators became strongly criticized for their lack of skills and knowledge when it comes to dealing with honorrelated cases. In order to fix this lack of knowledge and to respond to the criticism from the society, the Swedish government allocated resources to train administrators in social services to improve their knowledge of honor-related violence and know how to handle clients who are victims of honor-related crimes.The aim of this study is to examine how social service administrators perceive their professional knowledge regarding to their work in honor-related cases. How they perceive their competence and discretion in relation to the work of honor-related problems and their perception of what resources the organization has to provide training and skill development in this area. The study shows that the social service administrators experience that there has been a development of knowledge in some areas regarding their work with honor-related cases but that there still exists an uneven distribution in terms of knowledge between small and large communities in Sweden..

This essay is a combination of an interview, survey and an observation that involves seven different teachers and thirty-eight pupils in a school situated in a suburb of Stockholm. The purpose of my research is an attempt to give a picture of how a team of teachers in a primary school act together when teaching maths, as the majority of the pupils have another mother tounge than Swedish. Yet another purpose of this essay is to examine what possibilities this team of teachers have in trying to develop the Swedish language within other bilingual pupils and at the same time develop their math comprehension. I have chosen to initiate the theoreti-cal starting point through the points of Rodell-Olgac & Rönnberg & Rönnberg; these authors discuss the importance of language comprehension when it comes to developing ones math skills. I have reached the conclusion in my examination that it is important to raise the impor-tance of language comprehension within math-education.

The purpose of this study was to see how the teacher works with children´s language and what working methods they use to develop language, as well as knowledge, among the children in a multilingual school.The main questions for the essay:? What reasons the interviewed teachers about language development?? What approach do the interviewed teachers describe that they use in their multi-lingual children?s group?In order to collect empirical data to my study I chose to use a qualitative method, which consisted of interviews with four teachers in a multilingual class. The study is based on a socio-cultural perspective where social interaction, blocking, communication and language use is the main tool for children's learning and development.The results of my study revealed that teachers realize that when they involve teamwork in class it enhances the activity among the children. In particular when the bilingual children use the language actively in different contexts where they communicate and discuss with each other in the teaching subject. When the children use language in different contexts it also enables them to develop linguistically and in terms of knowledge.

Denna rapport är skriven med syfte att få en större inblick i vad polisens nya radiosystem RAKEL innebär för dess användare och då främst med betoning på polisverksamheten. Intresset fanns tidigt hos oss som blivande poliser då ämnet är högintressant då polisen befinner sig i inledningsfasen till det nya radiosystemet. Vi fick snabbt tag i mycket material när vi sökte på hemsidor och kontaktade nyckelpersoner på polismyndigheter samt övriga myndigheter som är inblandade i införandet. Denna information bestod dock till största delen om hur RAKEL är tänkt att fungera och om vad som är tanken med systemet. Vi ville gå ett steg längre och jämföra detta med hur systemet funkat hittills av dem som använt det.

In this Bachelor thesis, we examine how the work of the librarian has changed over the past three decades. The research questions focus on the changes in librarians´ roles and working tasks regarding factors like technique, meetings between librarians and visitors and also how to give service to visitors.We have conducted interviews with librarians at university libraries as well as public libraries. In all, there were four interviews. We have also compared the two types of libraries.We have looked closely at these factors: the tasks of the librarians, the skills needed, how the library has been used as a democratic arena, and what kinds of meetings there are among librarians and users of the library. From these themes we have created interview questions, and our analysis is structured according to the themes.We have worked from a theory on different kinds of identities within the profession.

The ever-changing modern health care environment places high demands on leadership skills. The purpose of this study was to describe the causes that effect leadership within the health care services carried out in a municipality. Data was collected by interviewing four health care managers, three registered nurses, eight enrolled nurses and one auxiliary nurse. A qualitative approach based on a content analysis method was conducted in the analysis of the interviews. Studiens syfte var att undersöka hur valda delar av forskningslitteraturen beskriver och diskuterar kring föräldrar med utvecklingsstörning. Vi fokuserade på den valda forskningslitteraturen utifrån tre teman: Föräldraförmågan hos utvecklingsstörda föräldrar, riskfaktorer för barn som växer upp med utvecklingsstörda föräldrar och stödet från samhället till föräldrar med utvecklingsstörning. Den metod som användes var en kunskapsöversikt som delvis tolkades hermeneutiskt. Resultatet av studien visar att de flesta föräldrarna var villiga att ta emot stöd av antingen professionella, anhöriga eller både och för att klara av sitt föräldraskap. Barn till utvecklingsstörda föräldrar kan vara en riskgrupp men behöver inte vara det.

Syftet i detta arbetet var att identifiera vilka slags problem som kan uppstå för elever med invandrarbakgrund och hur vi som lärare kan hantera och lösa dessa. Dessutom var syftet att se hur skolan och lärarna kan stärka dessa elevers identiteter. I min litteraturgenomgång tar jag upp en kort historik över hur invandringen skett till Sverige. Därefter har jag tittat på läroplanen och vad den säger om skolan som en plats där olika kulturer möts. Dessutom har jag gått igenom och tittat på vad litteraturen säger om syftets frågeställningar.

This paper takes it points of departure in a gender equality perspective and the perceived paradox between the governmental labour market policy and family policy. The first policy area has the aim to put people to work, whereas the other introduces a reform, vårdnadsbidraget, that point in the opposite direction. Which are the problem representations within the two policy areas and are the problem representations concordant or contradictive? From a constructivist perspective, langue is closely related to power through defining and ascribing meaning to reality. Drawing on political documents, speeches and articles formulated within the government, this paper analyzes problem representations through the use of discourse analysis and feminist political theory.
