The aim of this study was to investigate and compare the availability of construction Materials affect children's constructions and play. Observations were made when the children were allowed to play and build with very little and much of the material play-doh dough in preschool. The study is aimed at children aged 3 ? 5 years. Interviews were also conducted with educators in departments where the children spent time to give support to this study.The result shows that the children create as many designs of any material amount.

The purpose of this study was to examine the use of manipulative Materials in mathematics education with the main focus on grades 4 to 6. With the use of a phenomenological approach all the aspects of this phenomenon was examined. Qualitative interviews, participant observations and comparative content analysis of textbooks has been conducted to investigate the use of manipulative Materials in mathematics education. The results indicates that the teachers that were interviewed possesses good knowledge of this teaching method. However these teachers struggled to find time to put this method into practice and there was not enough teachers to attend these classes.

The dynamics and paths of losses of phosphorus from arable lands are not fully understood. It is known that phosphorus can be lost directly from plant material to water. In studies where plant material has been subjected to several freeze-thaw cycles, large amounts of phosphorus have been lost. Most studies have been conducted under field conditions, with many factors effecting the measured losses of phosphorus, such as weather and type of soil. This study was performed in a controlled environment without the presence of soil. Instead of soil, small glass beads were mixed with the plant Materials in vessels, to make possible homogeneous leaching with water through the mixture of glass beads and plant Materials. In this study, clover, ryegrass and dry straw were cut to pieces, approximately 2 cm long.

AbstractThe purpose with this examination is to contribute with knowledge about teaching in Swedish as second language from teachers? point of view and which Materials the teachers? choose to use while teaching. To reach the purpose, I have formulated questions that I have tried to answer through a qualitative study. The questions are: How do teachers? describe their teaching in Swedish as second language? Which material do teachers? feel that they use while teaching and is there any difference in teaching at schools that has many pupils needing second language teaching compared to schools with fewer pupils who needs second language teaching?I have interviewed three teachers? in three different districts, who all work with second language teaching.

This report compares two different types of insulation with regards to fire and moisture. The Materials were tested for the company Fiskarhedenvillan AB, for a wall and a roof construction that the company currently uses in the establishment of Sweden's first certified passive house for international standards.Their current material, Rockwool, is compared to a relatively new material on the Swedish market called SEALECTION Agribalance sold by the company ISO Green AB. This insulation material would result in a more efficient execution of the construction as it provides waterproofing and is applied more easily than Rockwool. Teaching Materials are a constant matter of discussion as they represent the school curriculum and what the students are reading in the classroom. Within religious studies in upper secondary school, a new approach emerged since the new curriculum from 2011, which is to interpret religion in relation to gender. This study aimed to see which gender performances two selected teaching Materials represented, in both their texts and images. This study was performed using both discourse analysis for the texts and content analysis of the images. The study showed that traditional gender performances appear both in the chapters that touched human identity and also ethics and morals, and also in the chapters that touched the world religions.

The purpose of this study was to investigate how Islam and Muslims are portrayed a) in results from studies on Swedish teaching Materials, and b) in articles in Swedish media newspapers. The study was conducted through two separate studies. In the first study, five previous research reports on how Islam and Muslims are portrayed in Swedish teaching Materials were analysed in order to discern the main results regarding the portrayal of Islam and Muslims. In the second study, newspaper articles from 11 Swedish newspapers were analysed in order to discern which central themes emerge in the description of Muslims and Islam in said newspaper articles, as well as which properties and features are attributed to Muslims and Islam in the articles studied. In both studies, the data was analysed inductively through a qualitative content analysis.

This report presents a bachelor thesis by Erika Gustrén aimed to increase people?s interest for recycling and reusing by create new products of things that already exist in most people?s homes in the Materials textile, plastic and paper. That would be a modern and innovative way to contribute to a better environment.The goal with this project was to create three cocktail dresses made of the same pattern and design and with the three chosen Materials.
