Marksaneringar görs idag i syfte att förhindra spridning av föroreningar till människa och miljö. Den vanligaste metoden för marksaneringar är att massor grävs upp och transporteras iväg för behandling. De flesta saneringar i Sverige görs i torra material såsom jord men även saneringar i sediment och andra blöta material genomförs. Vid sanering i blöta material avvattnas ofta materialet för att minska kostnader i samband med transport och förbränning. Ett material som hög förmåga att binda metalljoner och som dessutom kan hålla kvar mycket vatten är torv.

24 years have passed since the Chernobyl accident when radionuclides were spread over largeareas of Europe, including the Scandinavian countries. Today, measurable activities of 137Csare still observed in many Swedish ecosystems.Ants (belonging to the order Hymenoptera) are social insects which collect organic materialfrom a large area around their nests. This study focuses on the 137Cs activity in ant nests andthe cesium accumulation in these nests. The aims were (1) to estimate the 137Cs fall-out in1986, (2) estimate the radiation exposure of ants and (3) find how 137Cs is distributed in an anthill. Seven ant hills (occupied by the species Formica polyctena) were studied near the villageof Hille, situated north of the city of Gävle in central Sweden.

Syftet med denna studie har varit att lyfta fram utklädningskläder som pedagogiskt material i förskolan. Studien är av kvalitativ karaktär och består av fallstudier från tre förskolor med olika pedagogisk inriktning. Genom intervjuer med förskollärare och barn samt observationer av barns lek har vi undersökt vilken funktion olika utklädningskläder kan ha för barn i förskolan. Vi har även undersökt på vilket sätt placering och utbud av utklädningskläder kan påverka barns användande av dem. Med hjälp av ett posthumanistiskt perspektiv och begreppen agens och intra-aktivitet har vi sett hur utklädningskläder fått liv och gjort saker med barnen.

Jag har ett intresse för att utforska och undersöka olika material och hur vi upplever dessa material. I detta examensarbete skapar jag två möbler genom en gestaltningsprocess som grundar sig i ett undersökande av materialkombinationen faner och textil. Arbetet är uppdelat i två delar, en undersökande del där jag testar att kombinera olika faner, textilier och limmer, för att se hur jag upplever dessa och för att få en grund till min gestaltningsprocess. I den andra delen formger jag två möbler som har till syfte att väcka intresse för materialet hos betraktaren. Det blir ett klädskåp och en sittmöbel, som visar på olika sido !och mervärden med materialkombinationerna.

Material- och energiåtervinning är två sätt att ta hand om avfall. Materialåtervinning av papper är generellt det sätt som ger upphov till lägst ackumulerade utsläpp av koldioxid. Kuvert är en pappersprodukt som idag saknar producentansvar och branschen för returpapper anser inte att kuvert skall materialåtervinnas i och med att kuvert innehåller substanser som kan ge upphov till stickies. Ett argument som används mot materialåtervinning av kuvert är att problem orsakade av stickies medför ökade kostnader för företagen som tillverkar papper från returpapper. På den svenska marknaden finns det kuvert som, när de processeras i pappersbruken, inte ger upphov till stickies, nämligen svanenmärkta kuvert.

This paper is intending to examine the intercultural aspects of two teaching aids used in Swedish schools today. How does the material take the students prerequisite in consideration? Is every student included in the material in order with the standpoint and laws in the Swedish school system? And if they are not, who is the outsider in this occasion? With intercultural pedagogy lies the idea that everyone is unique and that teachers has an opportunity to develop and make student grow mentally. Intercultural endeavor is to learn to accept our differences and see them as assets instead. Syftet var att undersöka möjligheten att utveckla ett nytt lättvikts material för användning som skrivbordsskivor. Detta eftersom  en utveckling av lättviktsskivor sparar kostnader för företaget i form av råvaror och transporter  men även samtidigt miljön. Då Edsbyverken har ett flertal produktserier Svanenmärkta har denna miljömärkning tagits i beaktning då materialen valts.  Analyser har gjorts av den svenska kontorsmöbelmarknaden och även undersökningar av material och tekniker anpassade för tillverkning av lättviktsskivor.  Provtryckningar genomfördes med den befintliga skrivbordsskivan som referens och de efter researchen framtagna testämnena jämfördes med denna.  Efter att två slutgiltiga skivförslag valts ut genomfördes slutligen en designfas på hur ett skrivbordsunderrede skulle kunna utformas för att spegla de egenskaper som en lättare skiva har..

The technical evolution has a great influence on the public libraries. Electronic media becomes more and more common. This Master´s thesis is based upon the Swedish Library law 9§ (SFS 1996:1596) which says: Public- and school libraries should pay special attention to children and teenagers by offering books, information technology and other media, adapted to their needs, to encourage development of language and stimulate reading. From this point of view we have examined why the children´s departments in public libraries offer CD-ROM games which are based upon characters from the literature, how they are used in the daily activity and how they can contribute to the development of the children´s department.We have made literary studies and empirical investigations including interviews, observation studies etc. The results from this studies shows that both young and adults appreciate the CD-ROM games.

In recent centuries the Swedish Tiled Stove has varied in its design with an aesthetic evolutionary history that has not only followed the architectural and artistic ideals but also the taste in stove design. The heat source has varied depending on the regional traditions and where it was located within the country, but the inside of the construction was of a similar five channel system. The purpose of this paper is to study and compare the design of tile matrices made by Emil Petterson with other Swedish stoves. The following questions will be addressed:What characterized the production of a small scale tile stove workroom during the years 1900-50? Which main styles can be described as Emil Pettersson?s ideal while producing his matrices? And finally, is it possible to study the tile stove matrices as objects of historical and cultural significance, and what difficult methodological issues might occur in the doing of it? To answer these questions I will present the results of the documentation of Pettersson?s tile matrices with detailed historical categorizations and schedules. The conclusion shows that Pettersson as a stove builder and -producer was characterized by eclectic ideals and a design shape based on more liberal interpretations of contemporary trends.

One is a discussion of the history of the study of Old Norse religion and related aspects, centered on how general tendencies within the area of research have affected the interpretations of the god *T?waz/Tyr.

Högbytorp is Ragn-Sells? largest waste facility and it is located north of Stockholm. There is an old landfill still in use, but at the end of this year it will be closed. The waste deposited on the landfill can, through decomposition, give rise to a large amount of methane gas, which is an energy rich gas that can be used for heat and electricity production. To receive a relatively large amount of gas, the decomposition requires a high moisture content in the waste.

The work with this report has been focused on developing a methodology model for control at purchase. The methodology model covers parts classification, dispatching systems, batch shaping and more. The aim with the methodology model is that it will be used as an aid for a cost effective material planning to increase the value for customer.The work covers also a description of the present situation and the purchase process at Company X. Six parts have been applied, two from each class (A, B and C), in the methodology/model. The parts that have been applied are included in the flow between Company X and their supplier Company Y.Data have been collected trough literature studies, interviews and the company?s business system.

The main purpose of this Master's thesis is to investigate the new librarians' experiences and skills in the context of their present work situation and the ongoing debate about the librarian's professional identity and status. Further, the authors wanted to find out whether the new librarians' experiences and knowledge developed throughout their education correspond to the requirements of the employers. Finally, they try to assess theimpact of the "academization" of the library schools on the status of the profession. The data consist of an opinion poll. The investigation is based on questionnaires distributed as a web survey.

The information market is constantly changing. With new and improved information technology more people get access to more information faster. However, the number of people educated to handle information also increases. Business intelligence has for a long time been a well-known tool for companies to be competitive. Because of the increased access to information the competition between companies has intensified and more people have become aware of the advantages of business intelligence and how it can help them compete.

There is a need for productivities data and data for different types of machines for comminution of logging residues. The lack of data and studies on GROT comminution makes it difficult to evaluate different chains for handling of residue fuels and make system analyses.Four types of machines with three different working principles were compared at six studies during winter conditions. Three to eleven trials during 9.5 to 30.7 minutes were made on each machine. Samples from the produced material at each study were sieved to determine the size distribution of the comminuted material. Samples were also taken from the studies for determination of moisture content.
