AbstractOne of the most common business models for agriculture is according to Lantbrukarnas Riksförbund (2010) that two or more agricultural companies merge and form a company together. To create strong owners and to be competitive there is a recognized need to create relationships between small firms according to Mazzarol , Mamouni Limnios and Reboud (2013). Oerleman and Assouline (2004) argues that it is possible to achieve success in agriculture by following certain strategic priorities.This paper examines why farmers choose to venture into collaboration and whether cooperation are linked to the strategies of the company. The paper also discusses the pros and cons of partnerships in agriculture. A qualitative comparative research design has been used to answer to the topics and we have interviewed respondents from four different agriculture companies, which have been active in some form of cooperation or collaboration.

Denna uppsats har försökt att hitta orsaker till varför de kvinnliga revisorerna är lågt representerade i börsnoterade bolag. I uppsatsens inledande skede använde vi oss utav en enkätundersökning för att skapa oss en bild av intresset för auktorisation bland kvinnliga ekonomstudenter. För vår primära datainsamling använde vi oss både av personliga, semistrukturerade intervjuer och intervjuer per e-post. Vi har intervjuat kvinnliga auktoriserade revisorer som verkar på de fyra största revisionsbyråerna i Stockholm och gjort intervjuer per e-post med revisorer som tidigare varit verksamma på någon av dessa byråer. Vi har även intervjuat personer som inte är verksamma inom revisionsbranschen, men har intressanta synpunkter om området.

The purpose of this study is to examine how an organization communicates during a crisis and how a crisis can affect an organization's reputation/credibility in late modernity. The focus is on how the Swedish Red Cross handled crises from summer 2009 until spring 2010, and how the organization's reputation/credibility was affected by the fact that society has changed. The methodology used is a quantitative and qualitative text analysis. The results show that crises affect organizations, how much depends on how open they appear to be and how much credibility they have with them when the crisis begins. Getting to know the late modern society, to understand how it works, can bring benefits to an organization during a crisis.

Abstrakt Uppsatsen behandlar ämnet motivation och mer specifikt faktorer som påverkar chefers motivation till förändringsarbete. Undersökningen har en kvalitativ ansats och datainsamlingen har skett med hjälp av gruppintervju och via e-post. Urvalet för undersökningen var sex chefer anställda på Karlskrona kommun. Resultatet visar att förväntan påverkar chefers motivation. Vi fann också att chefers förtroende till ledning och chefers förståelse av förändringsarbetet påverkar motivationen.

Utvecklingen mot virtuell och mobil samverkan i organisationer har skapat utspridda team som samarbetar med hjälp av tekniska lösningar (t.ex. e-post och telefonkonferens). Arbetets positiva faktorer för individen och för organisationen utmanas i virtuella sammanhang. Genom en enkätundersökning (N=38) undersöktes hur arbetstillfredställelse, tillfredställelse med teamet, teamets utspriddhet samt ömsesidigt uppgiftsberoende var relaterade till organisations- och teamengagemang. Engagemang mättes med frågor ur OCQ (Mowday et al., 1979).

The following chapters examine landscape architecture which engages in contested territories with an emphasis on the way in which landscape architecture can engage with the issues of divided cities or landscapes with similar social, cultural and physical properties. The project focuses specifically on the potential landscape architecture has for promoting or aiding in the reconciliation process of these areas, by examining the following questions. How can landscape architecture be used to benefit the peace building process of divided cities and landscapes? How can landscape architecture be used in the process of promoting spatial reconciliation in the case of Belfast? The investigation begins with a description of the background to the project in Chapter 1, which functions as a brief introduction to the urban phenomena that is divided cities. It then goes on to introduce the different methods and data employed in order to answer the research questions in Chapter 2. After introducing the problem and the methodology, a global overview of divided cities is performed in Chapter 3. This chapter is divided into two sections.

This study aims at examining the prospects for a policy transfer of a Swedish municipal environmental policy (that of Växjö) to the French urban commune Blois, for which an ambition of becoming a leading eco-city in France, was declared by the mayor in 2008.In the analysis, emphasis is laid on mechanisms to institutionalize the main environmental policy principles, such as political and institutional structures and processes. Other prospects for an institutionalization of a new environmental policy that are to be investigated are economic structures as well as visions of the different decision-makers concerned. Research methods used in the study are qualitative interviews, document studies and a questionnaire.The findings of the analysis show that today?s prospects for an environmental policy in Blois close to that of Växjö, are clearly limited. The limitations can partly be found in economic structures but these seem to be rather related to a lack of priority amongst actors.

Flera av Sveriges största kvälls- och dagstidningar är sedan ett par år tillgängliga på Internet. Ett alternativ till att distribuera dem via Internet är broadcasting. I det här examensarbete har tyngdpunkten legat på att utforma en personlig tidning anpassad för att distribueras via rundradionätet i stället för via Internet. Jag har analyserat tre olika lösningar nämligen 1. En webbaserad och plattformsoberoende variant i XML + Java, 2.

Studien undersöker kombinerad odling av tilapia och basilika i ett akvaponiskt system som ett lönsamt sätt att återvinna industriell spillvärme. Syftet har varit att finna en storlek som gör en sådan anläggning lönsam och därmed kunna bedöma i varje specifikt fall om kvantiteten av spillvärme från en fabrik är sådan att överskottsenergin kan användas i en lönsam anläggning av ovanstående typ. En anläggning på 7 500 kvadratmeter har visats lönsam, eventuellt kan också ett företag nå lönsamhet genom drift av många mindre, optimerade odlingar. Empirin har bestått av intervjuer via e-post och telefon, besök på en akvaponisk experimentanläggning samt insamling av data i olika typer av register. Postcykeln har inte ändrats mycket under sin livstid. Material, geometri och designen är nästan densamma som för hundra år sedan. Vad är det som gör att dessa cyklar förblir sig lika? Skillnaden nu är att man använder sig av olika transportmedel för olika typer av utdelning och olika områden.Nu har man bilar, mopeder, el-bilar etc. men man använder fortfarande cykeln till mycket utdelning.Vilka fördelar har cykeln som de andra inte har? Frågar du mig så skulle jag svara att den ärmiljövänlig, billig, bra för fysiken, effektiv vid rätt användningsområde och framför allt rolig att använda.Att vara brevbärare idag innebär ett tungt och slitsamt arbete.

This thesis discusses main problems associated with dictionary-based Cross-Language Information Retrieval as lexical and translational ambiguity of query terms, translation of compounds and phrases, dictionary limitation. The purpose of the study is to investigate how query structure influences the effectiveness of CLIR regarding performance of three query types: original query, unstructured query and structured query. Query structuring refers to the application of #syn-operator to group query terms. The study comprises an experiment that was performed in the InQuery IR system with TrecUta database that contains 550,000 news articles from different American newspapers. 24 topics were used for the experiment.

This paper is a comparing study of the retrieval effectiveness of the search engines Google, Google Scholar and Scirus. The aim is to find out how good they are at retrieving relevant academic material in the research-field of Library and Information science. The thirty search questions where based on actual information needs collected from exams within the field of Library and Information Science. This method was used to prevent that none of the search engines were given an advantage because of construction of the information needs. The first twenty retrieved documents on the retrieval lists are examined for academic content and relevance.

Abstract The aim of this paper is to investigate whether Vara municipality has a continuous picture of their identity, profile and image. Globalization has contributed to the increasingly growing of place marketing. Therefore, the study goes on to using the concepts of identity, profile and image to find out if Vara Municipality communicates similar throughout the whole organization and find out their all through core values. Globalisation will be an interpretive framework for the work that describes why the place marketing is becoming more pressing. The sense of place will be a central part of this study as it is the feelings and images of different places that will be described by the municipality together with the identity, profile and image.

Post och telestyrelsen (PTS) har gett ett allmäntråd om att alla brevinkast ska ersättas med postfack från och med den 1 januari 2011. Med denna rekommendation kommer brevinkasten på dagens dörrar att bli överflödiga. Många kommer att vilja ta bort sitt brevinkast och ersätta det med en produkt som ger en tystare och säkrare miljö i hemmet.Detta examensarbete syftar till att finna en eller flera lämpliga lösningar för att ersätta brevinkasten på dörrarna. Denna lösning är tänkt att vara ett billigare alternativ för att lösa problemet, jämfört med att köpa en ny dörr.Olika metoder för att finna idéer har använts och flera alternativ framkom. Det gjordes utvärderingar för att finna den lösning som var mest lämplig för att lösa problemet.

This qualitative study focuses on the investigation of different actor?s ideas concerning gender and womanhood in a post-socialist nation Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim of this study is to try to provide experiences and attitudes of one not a new, but definitely one constantly changing phenomenon, trafficking in women for sexual exploitation. The qualitative data is mainly collected through nine interviews with people from Bosnian Governments, International organizations and NGOs during my stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The causes to trafficking are complex and intertwined but it directly relates to gender discrimination and attitudes on sexual relationships between women and men.
