Today's high oil prices and more stringent environmental requirements have led to that manufacturers of mobile construction equipment try to make their products more energy efficient. With this in mind a project about hybridization of hydraulic systems has been formed. The purpose of this project was to analyze the savings that can be achieved by hybridization of hydraulic systems. A reach stacker truck (Kalmar DRD450-80S4XS) were simulated in some load cases with conventional hydraulic systems and with three types of hybridized hydraulic systems. Different parts of the hydraulic systems were also analyzed separately.

In the last few years people have become more and more aware of how humanity is affecting the climate. In the direction of reducing the greenhouse gases is to design engines with higher tensile properties and reduced weight, in order to achieve lower fuel consumption and cleaner fuel incineration in today's truck engines.In order to achieve these requirements it?s necessary to increase the combustion pressure in the engine. This requires higher tensile properties and high thermal conductivity of the engine material. The department of Component Technology at the University of Jönköping in collaboration with Volvo Powertrain AB, Scania CV AB and DAROS Piston Rings AB has been commissioned to develop this material and to find knowledge of material properties used in truck engines and piston rings used for marine applications.The purpose with this work is to analyze the tensile properties of a series of cast iron, cast under different metallurgical conditions.Four different series of cast irons have been analyzed from four points of view, carbon concentration, nodularity, amount inoculation and cooling rate.After the tensile test all specimen data was analyzed in a mathematic calculation program called Matlab 2006a.

GE Healthcare wants to investigate whether additive manufacturing would be an alternative method in their workshops in the Umea? plant. Additive manufacturing is called 3D printing in everyday language and manufactures details by building them up layer by layer in an automated machine. The purpose of this work is therefore to investigate how mature additive manufacturing methods are and how they could be used at GE.The work has been divided into three parts. The first section investigates how additive manufacturing would work in the production workshop at GE.

A part of this project is to investigate leadership in high altitudes expeditions.This report will discusses the type of leadership used in high altitudes expeditions. Arbetet bygger på att de informationssystem som används idag men som blir allt äldre och därigenom inte klarar de krav som ställs på dem. Detta medför att informationssystemen måste migreras till modernare plattformar, då företagen dels inte klarar sig utan dess nuvarande funktionalitet och dels måste vidareutveckla systemen.Detta arbete tar upp olika sätt som detta kan genomföras på och vilka problem som kan komma att uppstå när detta sker. För att kunna undersöka detta så genomfördes ett antal migrationer. Språken som migrationen kommer att ske mellan är Visual Basic 6 och Visual Basic .net. Migrationerna kommer att ske med hjälp av ett migrationsverktyg, samt ett ramverk som i arbetet skräddarsys för just arbetets typ av migrationer.Det arbetet kommer fram till är att det sker problem vid användande av ett verktyg och även att det inte ger tillräckligt med respons på vad som gått snett under migrationerna..

Vid högvolymsproduktion av konsumentelektronik är testtid, mätnogrannhet och fabriksgolvsutrymme synonymt med kostnader. Detta har gjort att man på sektionen Test Engineering vid Ericsson Mobile Communications fabrik i Linköping tagit fram ett testkoncept, kallat Pelle-konceptet, där datorkraft och mätutrustning flyttas in i små utrymmessnåla testfixturer anpassade för både robotiserade produktionslinor och manuella. Det nya testkonceptet saknade på våren 1998 ett generellt mät- och stimulikort för mobiltelefoner vilket specificerades och konstruerades  under sommren och hösten 1998 av författaren och Stefan Lantz. I rapporten beskrivs arbetet med att specificera kortets funktionsblock samt detaljkonstruktion av de funktionsblock som författaren ansvarat för. Rapporten ger även en inblick i designarbetet och dess svårigheter för ett mät- och stimulikort med många olika funktionsblock på en mycket begränsad yta, samt de problem som uppstår i många projekt till följd av förändrade krav, missupfattningar, kommunikationsmissar och saknad dokumentation..

The concept of building work environment co- ordinator is a relatively new concept that has its origin in the amendment to the Working Environment Act which came into force on 1 January 2009. The terms; building work environment co-ordinator appointed for planning and design and building work environment co-ordinator for the execution of building or civil engineering work ushered in the industry. Once these disciplines complement one another, you can achieve a smooth handover to ensure a good and healthy working environment.In this thesis, we study a company in Uppsala and their operations and handover by interviewing the relevant staff in question. AbstractThe Swedish Road Administration in the region of Mälardalen has since 2004 worked to in¬crease the efficiency of the maintance of bridges based on limited functional requirements and time demanded action.The maintenance of the bridges is contracted in the county of Uppsala since 2004, and Örebro since 2007. The county of Nyköping and Västerås is contracted by the traditional system. The contractor will perform a regular maintenance on all bridges. The bridges are inspected by the contractor at least once every year.The contractor registers the result of the inspection in a database called BaTMan. BaTMan is a Bridge and Tunnel Management system and is a strictly web solution were the user logs in via the internet.The Swedish Road Administration also inspects the bridges to se that the demands on the bridges are followed.My work is to compare these different inspections and to see any development..

This thesis is about developing an intranet targeting a school and focus is aimed towards intranet usability.The reader is given knowledge into how to design and implement an intranet using persona. Design and develop by using persona is difficult when there is a group with large variety of knowledge, age and technology interest, so as in this case. Persona although always helps during the development phase because of the strong links to the personas that are created, which gives developers a constant reminder of the end users of the system.The thesis describes how information is collected and processed.

I denna rapport kan läsaren följa händelseförloppet med framtagningen av en fysisk mood-board med tillhörande grafisk manual. Läsaren kommer att få en allmän förståelse för hur det semantiska hos en produkt påverkar dess användare samt hur detta påverkar produktens resultat på marknaden. I projektet pressenteras en tämligen oanvänd metod som, kortfattat; syftar till att ta vara på en målgrupps specifika känslor om exempelvis en produkt för att göra denna mer optimerad. I detta projekt handlade det mer om att ta fram specifika strukturer vilka tillslut kom att leda till ett antal speciellt utvalda ytor och material åt företaget Tylö® AB. Materialet tillsammans med speciella ytor skall komma att skapa en mer elegant känsla i deras kommande sortiment.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att producera ett dataprogram som dimensionerar pålfundament samt beräknar felslagning av pålar. Ett pålfundaments funktion är att via pålar överföra laster till berg eller fasta jordlager. Felslagning inträffar då pålar inte hamnat på rätt koordinater eller glidit snett ned i marken och ej kan användas. Med hjälp av felslagningsprogrammet erhålles nya påkoordinater för nästkommande påle, vilken måste placeras ut så att tyngdpunkten för hela pålsystemet skall hamna rätt. Programmeringsspråket vi använt oss av är Visual Basic, där vi har omvandlat teoretiska beräkningar till databeräkningar.

The project has been oriented for development of fixtures to ateljé Lyktan to provide a more efficiency line. In the year 2012 the company invested in a new coating booth, which leads to opportunities to upgrading the fixtures and also new design. The request is to minimize the area for storage of fixtures, and therefore should fixtures be designed to apply as many articles as possible The priority of products that fixtures have development to has been products that are most frequently coated and new products that don?t have any fixtures. The product families that the project has been having focus on is TIME and FOVEA with RONDO. In the developing of fixtures have ideas been discussed with the staff, and instructions were made about how you are suppose to hang up the different products.
