Tanken med detta arbete var att analysera låtar av Bruce Springsteen för att bli bättre på att arrangera musik som honom. För att göra detta valde jag ut 23 av hans låtar och analyserade dem utifrån fem olika arrangeringselement hämtade ur boken The Mixing Engineer's Handbook. Resultatet blev att jag lärde mig mycket om hur man kan arrangera rockmusik och nya sätt att använda instrument. Dock skulle man nog behöva gräva betydligt djupare ner i låtarna för att få ut det där riktiga guldet som a?r kännetecknet för Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band..

The aim of this paper was to investigate whether or not it is possible to keep bottlenose dolphins and killer whales in captivity while maintaining good animal welfare. Today, many zoos and aquariums claim that their primary function is to conserve species and educate people about conservation and threatened species. The keeping of wild animals is justified by conservation programs and by the information spread to the zoo visitors. This does however not seem to be the case for marine mammals such as bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops sp.) and killer whales (Oricnus orca) since these species are not threatened in the wild and neither of them are listed as threatened in IUCN's Red List. Bottlenose dolphins and killer whales are entirely aquatic carnivores and are distributed in all coastal and pelagic waters from the Arctic ice in the north to the Antarctic ice in the south.

This report is written in cooperation with Skanska Sverige Hus Väst and it is discussing the role of site managers within the company. The report will bring up the demands that is put upon site managers and will also discuss stress related problems and how to change and develop the role as a site manager.We came up with three conclusions in this report. We believe that Skanska could develop VSAA to make it easier to use for site managers. We also believe that a further development of the project engineer is of great value, to give him or her greater responsibilities. The last conclusion is to change the responsibilities between the site manager and the production manager, to give the production manager a greater responsibility in the production..

The reason for performing an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is to incorporate environmental concern in different kinds of plans and projects. The purpose of such an assessment is to identify and describe direct, indirect and cumulative environmental impacts.Geographical Information System (GIS) is a tool that can be used to combine spatial extension of both sensitive areas and different environmental impacts in a quick and easy way. Because of that, descriptions of environmental impacts and motivation of different standpoints on a specific issue can be more correct and easier to make if GIS is used as a tool.Hence, GIS can contribute to improve the quality of Environmental Impact Assessments. If the benefits of using GIS are to out weight the costs, geographical information of satisfactory detail, actuality and accuracy need to be available at reasonable prices.In this paper, case studies are carried out for three different geographical analyses to investigate the use of GIS as a tool in EIA. From these case studies, more general conclusions about the benefits and limitations of using GIS for Environmental Impact Assessments are also drawn.

Jaggjorde mitt exobb på avdelningen MD Engineering som huvudsakligen utvecklar marina drivlinor.Marinediesel Sweden AB var i behov av ett styrprogram till den testbänk de byggt för att kunna testasina motorbåtsdrev. Denna rapport beskriver arbetet jag utfört för att färdigställa och optimera ettstyrprogram till en testrigg för marina drivlinor. I rapporten tar jag upp drevbänkens uppbyggnad, dessfunktion samt de problem jag stött på på vägen. The goal with this project, was to explore the producing of a musicvideo with a synergistic focus in a practical way. Beside the practical work with the recording and editing of music and video, I wanted to explore the sound engineers role in such a project? To my help I had the video producer Hannes Knutsson from the small film- collective Lefvande Bilder and the singer, guitarist and songwriter Conny Flink. The result of my work is a musicvideo published on the internet website YouTube and the report of the making of it along with my work around the question above is published in this report. The Baltic Sea, due to its special conditions, is a unique and vulnerable marine environment. There are many pressures that have an impact on the sea and one of the major problems is the extensive flow of nutrients from land. The most visible effect of the supply of nutrients is the annual algal blooms. One of the main sources of nitrogen and phosphorus supply is agriculture. Nutrient losses from arable land have been increasing as agricultural production has intensified. At the end of the twentieth century an increased awareness of these problems led to the formation of organizations such as HELCOM and Baltic 21.

This report is the result of a project work carried out at Karlstad University in conjunctionwith the local consulting firm Camatec where most of the work has been performed.The work can be classified as a classic engineering work with supportive theories andcalculations which in this context is relevant.The engineering project has focused on developing new standards for a conveyor that is usedin the Värmland paper industry where large rolls of paper are produced. A conveyor can takeits appearance in many different forms but in this thesis it has been an exemplary look and ithas also become modulatable with a central section, a drive end and a turning end.The construction work has been build under CAD programs such as Pro Engineer, drawingshave been created and costings have been analyzed. This Master?s Thesis work was performed at the Studio Engineer department at Volvo CarsDesign Centre in Gothenburg, Sweden. The assignment has been to create a new idea of an airvent where the news value mainly was focused at functionality but also with great attention onvisual appearance.The work has been totally independent and not been aimed to any specific car model. Theindependency initially made that the visual appearance primary wasn?t limited in any way dueto surrounding components.

I detta examensarbete har en metod för att utvärdera magnetiska minsvep utvecklats. Som beräkningsmodell används en SAM, Självgående Akustisk-magnetisk Minsvepare utvecklad av Kockums AB, ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems. I arbetet skapas en magnetisk modell för en SAM som beskriver sambandet mellan det alstrade magnetfältet och de utställda strömmarna. Vidare analyseras två olika metoder, multipolutveckling i prolata sfäroidala koordinater samt en uppsättning av dipoler, för att skapa en koncis modell över den magnetiska signatur som skapas av ett fartyg. Denna modell kan sedan användas för att optimera strömutstyrningen så att det genererade magnetfältet på ett så bra sätt som möjligt efterliknar det givna fartyget.
