This study is about information needs and library habits among newly retired people. The purpose of this master thesis is to examine the affective and cognitive needs that come with retirement. In what way do the information needs of this group change due to retirement? In order to answer this question we make use of two theoretical models; Role theory and Wilson?s model of information needs. When it comes to library habits, we use Andersson and Skot-Hansens model to examine how newly retired people use the library now and how they could use it on basis of their needs in their new role.

This essay investigates, on the basis of the medieval letters, diplomas, how the medieval monasticism contributed to the maintenance of the Danish society's gender structures. The theoretical starting points for the study are gender and class structures and Marcel Mauss presented gift - giving theory. Finally, a continuous comparison is made with Catharina Andersson's results in her dissertation, in which she examines the social structure in the Swedish medieval society. The primary material in the study is the Danish diplomas. 41 diplomas were found relevant for this study.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate reading habits among parents of preschool children who do not use the public library. Another aim has been to investigate why these parents don?t use the library and if there is anything the library can do to change this. Little research had earlier been done on this subject. The theoretical framework consists of two different models.

Arbetet innehåller en översikt av kartläggningsmaterial som är speciellt anpassade till elever på tidig utvecklingsnivå med flera funktionsnedsättningar. Med hjälp av intervjuer undersöks vilka kartläggningsmaterial som används i verksamheterna. Huvudresultatet visar att pedagogerna använder nulägesbeskrivningen i den individuella utvecklingsplanen som kartläggning och inte de anpassade kartläggningsmaterialen. The aim of the study is to elucidate how teachers in middle school work with reading literature aloud and their attitudes to their working methods. The research questions concern how the teachers work before, during and after the reading aloud, and also the advantages the teachers find in their method and the obstacles they discover in the work of reading aloud. A qualitative method was used for the study, applying semi-structured interviews. The selection consists of two teachers who have worked in the profession for 23?24 years (Teachers Andersson and Bergström) and two who have worked as teachers for 3?4 years (Teachers Cederqvist and Davidsson).

How does the criticism of landscape architecture in Swedish professional journals look today? Does it exist at all? What is criticism and what is its purpose? These questions have been the starting point for this degree project. I have found a lot of different answers among journals, books and websites, as well as in interviews with five persons that all have a relation to the landscape architecture criticism in different ways. These answers may look a bit disjointed at first, but are at a closer examination pointing in the same direction ? that the criticism of landscape architecture projects hardly exists today.

Denna studie handlar om vårdnadshavares engagemang i sina barns skolgång utifrån ett lärarperspektiv. Om lärare ska kunna lyckas i sin lärarroll krävs det ett bra föräldrasamarbete (Andersson, 2004; Flising, Fredriksson & Lund, 1996; Ivarson - Jansson, 2001). Läraren är den som har skyldighet att ha kontakt med vårdnadshavare. De är även de som har störst möjlighet att kunna påverka relationen till både barnet och vårdnadshavare (Flising, Fredriksson & Lund, 1996; Ivarson - Jansson 2001). Syftet med studien är att undersöka om lärare i dagsläget uppfattar några hinder för att engagera vårdnadshavare i barnens skolgång samt tydliggöra vad lärare vill att vårdnadshavare ska ha engagemang i gällande sina barns skolgång. Undersökningen genomfördes genom en litteraturstudie samt en enkätundersökning.

Ett sätt att skapa en tydligare position på markanden mot konsumenterna och gentemot konkurrenterna vore enligt vår mening att integrera arbetet med varumärkets identitet och design.

In 2007 the project with the renewal of the Vasa Park in Stockholm won the Siena Prize. The architects responsible for the project described how they aimed for upgrading the park within its historical framework. Since the project was a renewal and not a restoration of the park, I thought it would be interesting to study how the architects proceeded with this work. The aim of this essay has therefore been to examine how the last renewal of the Vasa Park has chosen to approach the history of the place. To understand the historical development of the park and how the renewal project was carried out, I started with a literature survey consisting of books, the program of the renewal and articles about the project.
