Detta examensarbete är utfört på Institutionen för teknik och naturvetenskap på Linköpings universitet som en avslutade del av mina studier i Medie- och Kommunikationsteknik. Målet med examensarbetet vär att utveckla ett datorspel med Macromedia Director i vilket man kan spela mot andra spelare över Internet.Examensarbetet ska också resultera i en presentation av några av de tillgängliga metoderna för att skapa nätverksapplikationer med Macromedia Director.Rapporten inleds med en teoridel som beskriver Macromedia Director och vad det kan användas till, samt en redovisning av olika metoder för att skapa nätverksapplikationer i Macromedia Director. Därefter följer en beskrivning hur spelet är uppbyggt och en genomgång av de viktigaste funktionerna. Programkoden till dessa funktioner finns i bilagorna till rapporten..

This report describes the results of the project "Concept development of jet engine inspection plugs" carried out in the spring of 2008. The work was done at the department of product definition at the company Volvo Aero in Trollhättan. The objective of the work was to develop concepts for a "Volvo-unique" inspection plug. The work is part of Volvo Aero's focus on proprietary (self-developed) technologies. Inspection plugs can be found on virtually all aircraft engines and gas turbines.

The purpose of this work was to investigate the early medieval view of the Bilical king David through the analysis of ten illuminations found in early medieval manuscripts in which he is depicted playing string instruments. First, a description of medieval manuscripts and king David and string instruments was presented, second, an analysis and a discussion of images as source material and an interpretation of the mythic and symbolic significance that is based on ideas presented by Paul Ricoeurs and Roland Barthes of the ten illuminations followed. The results showed that king David often was portrayed as a musical king, a dancer and a prophet that incarnated wisdom and justice; that king David served as a role-model for the Western regents, and that he was portrayed in an idealised and estethically appealing manner..

Techniques used in the building of a number of ships from the Mediterranean will be presented in this paper. The two techniques thnat will be discussed are shell-based technique and skeleton-basedtechnique. An attempt to clearify and delineate the transition between these two techniques will be made. The possible reasons for transition will then be described and discussed. The development ofthe techniques is going to be identified with help from four wrecks by analyzing their edge joineriesand this facts will be used as a basis for a chronological presentation.

This thesis aims to study brand change, which can be of interest since a brand during its lifetime can be expected to meet a lifecycle consisting of five phases; innovation, introduction, growth, maturity and recession. In order to avoid the recession phase and the sales decline that follows there is a need for a change of the brand.In order to study brand change, theoretical framework is compared to two real world cases that have gone through an active change.The conceptions of positioning, repositioning and revitalization are clarified. Positioning deals with how brands are located in customer?s minds as well as on the real market. Repositioning implies a change of the current position and is also often a move towards a new market segment.

Metod: Det teoretiska avsnittet beskriver relevanta teorier kring ekonomisk styrning och organisationsstruktur. Det empiriska avsnittet består av en presentation av Sydkraft Försäljning AB och de förutsättningar under vilken deras verksamhet drivs. Teorin och empirin ger underlag till problemdiskussionen. Resultatet består framförallt av en uppsummering av problemdiskussionen därefter görs en generaliserande analys.

Denna rapport ingår tillsammans med en muntlig presentation som examination i kursen Examensarbete i ADB, 20p vid Högskolan i Skövde. Kursen ingår som slutmoment på det systemvetenskapliga programmet.Undersökningen, vilken genomfördes i samarbete med företaget Arthur Andersen, hade som syfte att utvärdera verktyg och metoder för riskanalys av verksamheters informationssäkerhet.Medelst intervjuer av 5 experter inom området, samt med en dokumentstudie, utvärderades problemställningen kvalitativt. Resultatet blev en analys av existerande verktyg och metoder för riskanalys, med avseende på deras olika fördelar och nackdelar, samt deras resultat..

Denna studie undersöker om lättillgänglig information om matrecepts koldioxidutsläpp kan göra att människor väljer miljövänligare måltider. Studien genomfördes under realistiska förhållanden med hjälp av en webbaserad prototyp som automatiskt beräknar och presenterar olika matrecepts koldioxidutsläpp när användaren surfar på en webbplats med recept. Beteendet vid val av måltider studerades för en grupp om 15 personer, både med och utan användning av prototypen. Deltagarnas upplevelse av prototypen samlades in genom fokusgrupper. Användning av prototypen resulterade i en minskning av deltagarnas genomsnittliga koldioxidutsläpp med ca 2,2 kilo per måltid (45 %).

One of the most distinguishing features for companies today is that they must have a close collaboration and keep up a good relationship with their suppliers. This is important for the companies chance of survival and for them to compete in their markets. This essay will discuss the subject of Scania?s long-term collaboration with their suppliers. The purpose of the essay in this case study is to analyze if a long-term cooperation with a supplier is of essence upon renegotiations of continued collaboration.

The background to this paper is the fact that many products are demonstrated to show the consumer value of the product. This is generally the fact when it comes to agricultural products, such as tractors. The growing number of models makes this even more import for the retailer to perform a demonstration that really catches the interest of a prospect customer. One problem is that these demonstrations are expensive and many small retailers have difficulties to afford demonstrations of every model. Together with Åhmans Traktorcentrum AB a market investigation was conducted. The company has its primary sales area in the region of Östergötland and north part of Småland. Åhmans Traktorcentrum AB is a John Deere dealer.

Processen vid framtagandet av en ny produkt kallas New product development (NPD). Denna process innehåller 6 steg som ska hjälpa företaget vid utvecklingen av en ny produkt. Det andra steget i denna process är konceptutveckling. Utvecklingen av ett koncept är en lång process som innehåller 7 steg som ska hjälpa företaget utveckla koncept till olika produkter. Processen sträcker sig från upptäckt av marknadsmöjlighet till projektplanering.

High quality within a Lean production system begins with standardised work, which creates stable processes able to generate predictable output. If nonconformity from the standard procedures occurs, routines are needed to analyse, correct and prevent the nonconformity from occurring again. In that way, the nonconformity can be a trigger for continuous improvements toward more stable processes. In takted production lines, where the operator follows a standard sequence with tasks set to be completed within the takt time, a nonconformity leads to downtime in the operator?s sequence, and no value is added.

In this essay i present a study on political learning of a minority ethnicity whose political history in the institutional form began in 1993. The ethnicity in question is the Sami?s and in 1993 the Sami Parliament was established. The establishment of the Sami parliament radically changed the preconditions for political work. Sami politics came to be pursued in an organized manner in the form of a public authority and democratically elected units.

Inspection errors are nowadays usually written with pen and paper during building inspections. A company in Stockholm is developing a method by which inspections are made digitally from the beginning and where the inspection attachments shall be stored in a database. The idea of this method is that entrepreneurs can use the database to get an experience feedback from previous surveys so that they can improve their production processes. One problem that occurs is how inspection errors will be sorted into the database. They have to be sorted so that contractors or clients can use and sort out the information in a sensible way when they want to evaluate and make improvements in their production processes.This thesis examines how the inspection errors can be sorted in a structured manner.
