This paper is a compilation of some of the important viral zoonosis that can be passed from apes and simians (simian and prosimian) to man. Viral zoonoses are viral diseases that can be passed from animals to humans. The paper will also provide a better insight of the risks workers and visitors to the zoo can be exposed to. The viruses that this paper is focused on is herpes Bvirus, simian T-lymphotropic virus type 1 (STLV), simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV), Ebola virus, Marburg virus, yellowfever virus, monkeypoxvirus and hepatitis B virus. The choice of viruses is based on how infectious they are and how pathogenic they are.

I have been inspired by the Do It Yourself movement. DIY builds on the creativity of the individual, one?s capacity for initiative and one?s desire to realise one?s ideas. I have been inspired by sheets of pattern paper used in the manufacture of clothing, and my line of furniture is based on two-dimensional patterns of furniture. The sections of the pieces of furniture are printed on and relate to a standard sheet of plywood.

Bakgrund: Att arbeta i en miljö där hälsofarlig rök och risk för smitta förekommer innebär en risk för operationssjuksköterskans hälsa. På universitetssjukhuset finns riktlinjer om när mun- och andningsskydd ska användas.Syfte: Att undersöka om operationssjuksköterskorna på universitetssjukhuset har fullgoda kunskaper om sjukhusets riktlinjer angående mun- och andningsskydd. Att undersöka förutsättningarna för operationssjuksköterskorna att kunna följa riktlinjerna, deras upplevelse av riktlinjernas tillgänglighet samt vilka faktorer som avgör operationssjuksköterskornas val av mun- och andningsskydd.Metod: Studien är en deskriptiv enkätstudie med tvärsnittsdesign och kvantitativ ansats. Enkäter delades ut till operationssjuksköterskor på universitetssjukhuset vilka är verksamma på operationssal. För att bli godkänd i sin kunskap krävdes att respondenten hade 100 % rätta svar på kunskapsfrågorna.

This work is an experimental study where knock sensor placements are investigated using engine tests. The aim is to studythe quality of the signal from knock sensors and how the signal for engine control is affected at different sensor locations on Scanias, engine DC13. To find out at witch position on the engine youcan get a usable signal for engine control, the engine is running while the knock sensors with advanced measurement equipment is connected to the engine. Evaluation of signals from the knock sensors are made in the computer program Matlab. The program is producing a seriesof plots, from these plots it is visually possible to draw conclusions and find connections.

This work is done to try to solve a scientific computer problem and its basis derived from the web, as there are a variety of ways to program to it. The most common languages used by developers, both private and corporate are PHP, .NET and Ruby. But why do companies or a private developer choose a specific programming language? Is it because it is better and has more features than the others, or because they are forced? This essay uses a questionnaire and through tests sees which is best and which one is the most popular/used. To illustrate the problem, a survey is conducted and sent to several companies and asked them to answer the questions regarding the issue.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera kompetens och oberoende hos de förtroendevalda revisorerna respektive de sakkunniga biträdena i svenska kommuner samt hur kompetens och oberoende påverkar innehållet i de kommunala revisionsberättelserna. De problemområde och teorier som vi presenterar i uppsatsen har legat till grund för hypotesformuleringarna. För att kunna pröva dessa hypoteser har vi genomfört en surveyundersökning. Vi utformade två olika enkäter med standardiserade frågor vilka översändes till ordförande för de förtroendevalda revisorerna respektive ansvarigt sakkunnigt biträde i landets samtliga kommuner. This thesis investigates how different Linux-distributions installation interface relate to the ISO 9241 standard, parts 12 and 13, and how they relate to the installation interface of Windows XP, with the hypothesis: "There is a Linux-distribution whose installation interface according to applicable HCIrecommendations is equivalent to that of Windows XP." With the checklists provided by ISO 9241 an empirical study has been made, and so comparable measurements of how well the Linux-distributions and Windows XP follows the recommendations of the standard was obtained. By comparing the results from the tests similarities and differences between the installation interfaces can be deducted. As the result and the conclusion shows there are Linux-distributions whose installation interface, according to the applicable HCI-recommendations, are equivalent to that of Windows XP..

The purpose of this essay is to examine which factors that influence the design of internal control in municipal context and how well it works. We choose seven municipals, where we interviewed the administrative managers, the chairmen of the committees and two persons of the staff in each activity unit. The interviews were performed by telephone, due to the keeping of the essay?s timeframe.The theory in our essay comprises eight hypotheses. These hypotheses were operationalised into different variables aiming to make statistical tests possible.

This is a study of how emotional engagement can be measured and be taken into account in the development of websites. We believe that emotions become relevant only when viewed in correlation to how users experiencing a webpage. In this study, we developed a tool for use together with user tests where the information about the user's emotional engagement can add new value to the evaluation. The tool allows the user to mark, on the website, his/her emotions and level of engagement represented by colored circles, generating quantiative data on how users feel about the website. The tool is part of a method for evaluating the emotional engagement that we have developed which consists of user testing supported by the tool and accompanied by interviews..

Bakgrund Övervikt och dåliga kostvanor hos den gravida kvinnan har stor betydelse för barnets framtida hälsa. Det är viktigt att veta om och hur kvinnor ändrar sina kostvanor i samband med en graviditet.Syfte Att undersöka hur kostvanor och livsmedelsval innan en graviditet såg ut och eventuella kostförändringar under graviditeten hos kvinnor som fött ett eller flera barn.Metod En webbaserad enkät innehållande 17 frågor användes och rekryteringen skedde via Facebook samt forum och hemsidor relaterade till graviditet och familj. Totalt deltog 54 kvinnor som fött barn och var bosatta i Sverige. Icke-parametriska statistiska tester (Chi-2-test och Mann Whitney U-test) användes för att analysera skillnader mellan åldersgrupper och utbildningsnivåer. Resultat Medianåldern var 31 år och 46 av deltagarna uppgav att de har ett eller fler barn.

Internetbedrägerier är ett växande problem som kan leda till negativakonsekvenser för offren och den kommersiella infrastrukturen. Attkartlägga fenomenet och identifiera de egenskaper som kan bidra tillökad risk för utsatthet är därför viktigt. Syftet med denna studie var attundersöka utsattheten och oron för att utsättas för internetbaseradebedrägerier bland studenter vid Mittuniversitetet. En webbaseradenkät distribuerades till 600 slumpmässigt utvalda studenter ochdatamaterialet (17%, N = 102) analyserades genom ?², Mann-WhitneyU och Kruskal-Wallis-test samt logistisk regression.

This report describes a thesis done at the Jönköping University of Technology. The aim of this thesis was to create conditions to optimize an existing automatic electrostatic coating system by changing the technology for dispensing lacquer. To select the technology, a study of different dispensing techniques carried out which concluded that the piezoelectric membrane and electrostatic atomization are the most interesting techniques.In order to perform tests with dispensing techniques a demonstrator has been optimized. The controller and PC software of the demonstrator has been programmed to be able to send out PWM signals that control the dispensers. An adapter card was designed to control the piezoelectric membrane and a steering link to the electrostatic atomization has been developed for PWM signals up to 500V.The work has laid ground for a demonstrator where further testing of the dispensing technologies can be performed..

Faktorerna som vi tror ökar eller minskar sannolikheten för orena revisionsberättelser, och har testats i uppsatsen är följande: anmärkningsgrad, omsättning, antal anställda, revisionsbolag, soliditet, skuldsättningsgrad, årets resultat, godkänd eller auktoriserad revisor och bransch.Uppsatsen utgår från den deduktiva ansatsen och de teorierna som används är institutionella teorin, agentteorin samt teorier från tidigare studier. Vi har med hjälp av dessa utformat två egna modeller som följer revisionsberättelsernas utfall 2002 ? 2003 samt 2002 - 2004.
