Inledning: Risken för återinskrivning minskar om patienten har kunskap och kan hantera hjärtsvikten utifrån egenvårdsråd. Förmågan att ta till sig information har även en central roll i detta. Hjärtsviktspatienter med dålig följsamhet i sin egenvård av sjukdomen skrivs oftare in än de som har bra följsamhet. Minskad förståelse och kunskap kring sjukdom leder till minskad möjlighet för patienten att förstå information, läsa och följa medicinska rekommendationer samt skriftliga och muntliga instruktioner.Metod: Ett frågeformulär delades ut till patienter på två hjärtsviktsmottagningar i Mellansverige. Skillnader mellan skriftlig information testades mot skriftlig och muntlig information och analyserades med Mann-Whitney U test.

The work describes the development of an adjustment algorithm that will replace today?s manual adjustment of Lead- and Lag-filters at ABB Robotics industrial robots. The adjustment is mainly for the filter parameters in the control system.Three different algorithms have been created to replace the manual adjustment. One of them is based on the criterion from the manual adjustment and another one on optimization of the sensitivity function. Den här studien analyserar fyra psykologiska och sociala faktorer i relation till arbetstillfredsställelse och ålder hos omvårdnadspersonal inom äldreomsorgen. Bacteria are a problem that occurs naturally in dishwashers when the dish stands there dirty for an extended period of time. This report tested the possibility of using induction as a mean for transferring data and power so that it can be implemented as a communication medium between a terminal and measuring head mounted in a measuring frame. Syfte: Att jämföra patientens totala stråldos och undersökningstid från metoderna konventionell röntgen och genomlysning vid undersökningen belastade knän med artrosfrågeställning.Metod: Datainsamlingen utfördes genom att det delades ut dosprotokoll där röntgensjuksköterskorna på röntgenavdelningen fick skriva upp stråldoser och undersökningstid. Datainsamlingen gjordes under en fyraveckorsperiod på ett medelstort sjukhus i Sverige. Datainsamlingen jämfördes genom en hypotesprövning där det utfördes ett Mann-Whitney U-test med en signifikansnivå på fem procent för att se om nollhypotesen (ingen skillnad i stråldos eller tid) höll.Resultat: Studiens nollhypotes för stråldoserna förkastades som hade medelvärdet 444,37 mGycm² (genomlysning) och 212,24 mGycm² (konventionell röntgen). Nollhypotesen för undersökningstiderna förkastades också som hade medelvärdena 5,08 minuter (genomlysning) och 8,48 minuter (konventionell röntgen). Signifikansnivån för båda faktorerna var lägre än 0,001 och därför behölls mothypoteserna att det fanns en skillnad mellan modaliteterna.Slutsats: Studiens resultat visade att konventionell röntgen är den bäst lämpade metoden att använda stråldosmässigt medan genomlysningen är bäst lämpad tidsmässigt.

Inledning: Gymnasieelever som upplever ett starkt socialt stöd från lärare och klasskamrater rapporterar i högre utsträckning en positiv psykisk hälsa. Under flera decennier har svenska skolungdomars psykiska hälsa försämrats och socialt stöd från lärare och klasskamrater är viktigt för att stävja den nedåtgående trenden. Metod: 243 gymnasielever mellan 17-20 år (M=17.91) besvarade en enkät om upplevt socialt stöd, emotionella symtom, generell stress, kamratproblem, psykosomatik och välmående i skolan. Svaren analyserades i SPSS genom Kruskal-Wallis H-test, Mann-Whitney U-test, det icke-parametriska post-hoc testet av Siegel och Castellan (1988) samt Rosenthals (1984), ekvation för effektstorlek. Resultat: De elever som upplevde ett högt socialt stöd rapporterade i högre utsträckning en positiv psykisk hälsa.Dessutom, beroende på om det var socialt stöd från lärare eller klasskamrater varierar kopplingens styrka till de fem aspekterna av psykisk hälsa.

Fossil fuels are affecting our climate negatively and there is a limited amount of them in the world, which leads to the importance of finding alternative fuels. One alternative is biogas, which is produced though a digestion process of different organic materials in a biogasreactor. Organic substrate that comes from farms has the biggest potential to increase the production of biogas in Sweden. Primarily crops from farms, but also waste products like manure are of great importance.Today there is a calculated theoretical potential for biogasproduction of 14TWh per year, which is around ten times larger than Sweden?s production today.

In this paper we analyze a social network specifically designed for the elderly, people with Dementia and people with generally low computer experience. This is a relatively unexplored use for such software, and our goal is to find out whether the technique to be used is simple enough to use for the intended user group, and generally how the whole situation is experienced by the users. To achieve this we conducted an expert evaluation and interviewed a number of users at two separate occasions during their first weeks with Modernfamilies. We came to the conclusion that this software generally is simple enough to use for the intended target group. Some of the users we came in contact with experienced the software as a positive addition to their daily lives, while some could not see any reason for a further use.
