The purpose of the study is to investigate how board structure influences CEO compensation for companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange in 2004. The theoretical frame of reference is based upon the corporate governance theory, the principal-agent theory and previous empirical research in the area. A cross sectional regression analysis is used, where a number of control variables are included and significance tests are conducted. The study is based on information regarding CEO compensation, and possible factors affecting the compensation, from 267 companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange A- and O-list in the year 2004. We find that the board structure has no significant effect on the CEO compensation.

AbstractThe Swedish Road Administration in the region of Mälardalen has since 2004 worked to in¬crease the efficiency of the maintance of bridges based on limited functional requirements and time demanded action.The maintenance of the bridges is contracted in the county of Uppsala since 2004, and Örebro since 2007. The county of Nyköping and Västerås is contracted by the traditional system. The contractor will perform a regular maintenance on all bridges. The bridges are inspected by the contractor at least once every year.The contractor registers the result of the inspection in a database called BaTMan. BaTMan is a Bridge and Tunnel Management system and is a strictly web solution were the user logs in via the internet.The Swedish Road Administration also inspects the bridges to se that the demands on the bridges are followed.My work is to compare these different inspections and to see any development..

Scholarly publishing has since the introduction of electronically distributed periodicals seen a time of change, mainly in the STM-business (Science Technology and Medicine). The roles of the three main participants in the publication process; researcher, publisher and library are developing into new directions. Researchers themselves are taking a more active part in the discussion, with the boycott list from the Public Library of Science organization as an illustrating example. Reforms are being launched partly as an economical and efficiency issue, partly as an increasing desire from researchers to maintain the control of scientific end result. Anställdas produktivitet har överraskande visat sig öka under tidigare nedläggningar. Detta uppmärksammade fenomen benämns nedläggningseffekten och förklaras bland annat av anställdas ökade autonomi och utrymme för innovativa förmågor under nedläggningsperioden. Relationer mellan ledare och underanställda är enligt LMX-teorin av olika kvalitét vilket kan förklara anställdas engagemang, ett engagemang som även kan förklaras av anställdas individuella differenser. Syftet med studien är att undersöka ledarskapets och personlighetsvariabeln work locus of control betydelse för anställdas målengagemang under en nedläggningsperiod. En enkätundersökning för 275 medarbetare utfördes 2006 på ett tillverkningsföretag.

I takt med att produktionen har ökat har även lagernivåerna ökat vilket har ökat risken för att fel råvara används till fel produkt. Syftet med examensarbetet är att ta fram ett arbetssätt som minskar risken för att fel råvara används.Studien visar att något måste göras för att säkerställa att rätt råvara används till rätt produkt. This report is an examination paper in computer science at University of Växjö. The report will focus on the possibility to create adaptable systems and to cost calculate the work needed to modify a system to meet new demands. A project [demos] developed by Interactive Institute studio [12-21] in Växjö is the starting point in our work. They have during a period of two years developed a prototype of a system which intends to get youth and democratic selected representatives a communication platform where they may communicate with SMS. Today they are in a position when they want to develop the system for other user groups with slighter different purpose and to do that they need a more flexible system.

Den här rapporten har som syfte att utreda vilket eldistributionssystem för offshoreenheter som sparar mest vikt och utrymme. De två elsystem som jämförs är GVAs standard system och Siemens Blue Drive System. Rapporten innehåller en teoretisk bakgrund för båda systemen och dimensionering av systemens kraftkablar samt beräkning av kabelvikter och komponentvikten för systemen. För att uppskatta kabel- rutter och längder kommer ritningsunderlag för GVAs offshoreenhet 7500 att användas.Resultatet visar att GVAs standard system är det eldistributionssystem som har den lägsta totalvikten med 168 ton, GVAs standard system har en vikt som är 101 ton lägre än Siemens Blue Drive System som har en vikt på är 269 ton. GVAs standard system har en lägre ström vilket gör att ledararean blir mindre och i med det blir kabelvikten mindre.

Bakgrund/problem: Fastighetsmäklare ersätts idag främst genom provision för sitt huvuduppdrag fastighetsförmedling. Ett lagförslag vill tillåta ersättning för förmedling av sidotjänster som exempelvis bolån. Risken med lagförslaget är att mäklarens roll som oberoende mellanman försvinner om ersättningen för sidotjänstförmedling är uteslutande provisionsbaserad. Ledningen måste därför utforma välfungerande styrsystem för att undvika negativa effekter.Syfte: Att utforma ett förslag till hur företag kan undvika negativa effekter vid provisionsbaserad ersättning för sidotjänster.Metod: En kvalitativ fallstudie har genomförts med individuella, semistrukturerade intervjuer, enkätundersökning samt sekundärkällor.Resultat: Företagsledningen bör använda sig av ett kombinerat ersättningssystem med både fast och rörlig lön för sidotjänstförmedling. Vidare bör även hänsyn tas till åtgärder inom beteendestyrning, såsom utformning av välfungerande processer för de anställdas arbetssätt, samt inom social styrning, såsom utbildning av de anställda..
