På senare tid har skolungdomar börjat uppleva sig allt mer stressade. Det kan handla om exempelvis stress inför skolan och den kommande framtiden. Denna studie undersökte elever på högskoleförberedande program upplevda stress, stressen inför framtiden samt eventuell betydelse av Locus of Control och kön. Respondenterna utgjordes av 42 poj-kar och 51 flickor, samtliga gick på samma gymnasieskola i årskurs tre. De fick besvara tre bakgrundsfrågor, en inom stressforskning väl använd stressenkät (PSS), en fråga gällande stress inför framtiden, samt Locus Of Control.

The aim of this essay is to examine three separate Swedish public libraries and their respective websites on the grounds of the usability sciences. I firstly had to summarize the main properties of the usability-field in order to gain an extended knowledge of its purposes and possible usage for today?s library systems. I was then able to apply the extended knowledge in the examination of the three library websites and the purpose of determining whether or not they were designed according to the standards set by the usability-sciences.Usability is a rather new science that deals with the dissection and examination of computer-based systems, in order to find the key components that make systems user-friendlier. With user needs being the main focus of its research, usability tries to meet all the different needs of the modern user and construct systems that are less system-centered and more user-centered.

Vårt syfte är att skapa en djupare förståelse och klargöra för användningen avbegreppen management och ledarskap i praktiken. Med hjälp av begreppens innebörd kan vi som forskare få möjligheten att framföra hur begreppen används praktiskt. På så vis kan vi se om teorin reproduceras i praktiken. Vår uppsats visar att intervjupersonerna tror att de utövar ledarskap, men att det inte kan utövas i praktiken. Detta har sin grund i den tvetydighet som omger begreppet ledarskap och företagets organisationskontext.

The purpose of the study is to investigate how board structure influences CEO compensation for companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange in 2004. The theoretical frame of reference is based upon the corporate governance theory, the principal-agent theory and previous empirical research in the area. A cross sectional regression analysis is used, where a number of control variables are included and significance tests are conducted. The study is based on information regarding CEO compensation, and possible factors affecting the compensation, from 267 companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange A- and O-list in the year 2004. We find that the board structure has no significant effect on the CEO compensation.

Wastewater handling of private sewage systems has become an all increasing matter. In Stockholm region the 90 000 private sewage systems contribute with larger phosphorus flows to the Baltic Sea than the two biggest sewage plants in the area, Henriksdal and Käppala, contribute together, even though these two plants purify wastewater from more than one million inhabitants. When summer house areas turn into areas for permanent living ? transition areas ? the load on the existing systems increases, systems that already often are unsatisfying. In those areas it is not clear what the best system choice is; On-site systems for single households; Local collective systems or Connection to central systems.

Detta examensarbete är den avslutande delen av utbildningen inom maskinteknik på Linnéuniversitetet i Växjö under våren 2013. Arbetet utfördes i samarbete med Rottne Industri AB där skogsmaskiner utvecklas och tillverkas för skogsbruk. Syftet med vår undersökning av nybilsförsäljarna i Blekinge är att klargöra hur deras belöningssystem är uppbyggda. Sett ur ett ledningsperspektiv vill vi också veta hur de uppfattar sitt belöningssystem, och om de skulle vilja att det utvecklades vidare. Vi vill också ta reda på huruvida deras belöningssystem resulterar i de effekter som de eftersöker, och om systemet resulterar i ett positivt ekonomiskt resultat..

Anställdas produktivitet har överraskande visat sig öka under tidigare nedläggningar. Detta uppmärksammade fenomen benämns nedläggningseffekten och förklaras bland annat av anställdas ökade autonomi och utrymme för innovativa förmågor under nedläggningsperioden. Swedish dairy production has during the last decades undergone considerable structural rationalisation and the number of dairy herds has decreased to less than 7000. At the same time the average herd size has increased and a large proportion of those investing in new buildings today choose automatic milking (AM). During 2008 more than ten percent of the Swedish cows will be milked with AM. The development has been faster than expected and the need for consulting has increased rapidly. This study aims to evaluate whether a check list originating from the FRISKKO (?healthy cow?) programme can be a useful tool when assessing how well the herd functions in various areas.

Södra Interiör har en anläggning i Kallinge där man tillverkar golv och paneler av furu. I takt med att produktionen har ökat har även lagernivåerna ökat vilket har ökat risken för att fel råvara används till fel produkt. Syftet med examensarbetet är att ta fram ett arbetssätt som minskar risken för att fel råvara används.Studien visar att något måste göras för att säkerställa att rätt råvara används till rätt produkt. Lagernivån och informationskvaliteten är andra problem som identifierats. Nyckelbegreppen för att lösa problemen är ordning och reda, information, framförhållning och utrymme.

Earlier studies of musculoskeletal problems with milkers working in milking parlour operators have shown that it is a physically demanding occupation. The extremities that are most exposed are neck, shoulders, hands and wrists. Those systems that have been studied in present cases are fishbone and some tandem barns. There have been changes in the working environment during the past ten years. The mechanisation has been developed for the better with automatically removers of the milking units and vertically adjustable floors in almost every daily milking barn. In other hand the milk production are more industrialised and more related to stress today.

ABSTRACTThis pilot study examines the knowledge about tree root systems amongst five treeplanting professionals. The aim is to find out the professionals? collective knowledge ofthe nature of root systems of various trees used in green areas. Furthermore; to explorehow the professionals adapt landscaped green areas to the tree root properties in asustainable manner. Questions: Which tree species have special root properties toconsider and how do the professionals utilize this knowledge? And: How do theprofessionals in general adjust planting according to the root systems of trees in areas tocreate sustainable green environments?Interviews with the professionals were performed.

There exist several known methods for calculation of radio coverage for ground-based systems. As far as we know there are no equivalent methods for the case of flying platforms when the altitudes and speeds are significantly different to those of ground-based systems. This thesis describes the theoretical concepts behind calculations of radio coverage for flying platforms. An investigation is made to sort out what is important and possible to employ in a model for simulations. A method is described and implemented in a program for evaluation of flying radio systems.
