How do the police prevention methods work against juvenile delinquency? The purpose of this study is to see how the police work to prevent juvenile delinquency in two municipalities in Stockholm, Södertälje and Sundbyberg. Additionally, the purpose of this study is also to find out if there are any similarities or differences between the police methods the police use in these two municipalities. We have used qualitative method in which we have interviewed the police and young people from the communities. We interviewed young people to see their attitudes to the police and the area to find their perception of police work in the fields as well as the police forces attitude toward the young people.

Syfte med denna studie är att med utgångspunkter i aspekter av demokratibegreppet studera föräldrars val av utbildning för sina barn. Studien använder sig av en flerfaldig forskningsstrategi vilket innebär att en kombination av de båda ansatserna, kvantitativ och kvalitativ, nyttjas. Det empiriska underlaget utgörs av enkäter och intervjuer.Resultatet visar att föräldrars bakgrund påverkar valet av skola och att kunskapen angående skolval är differentierad. Det viktigaste motivet vid val av skola är föräldrars bedömningar av skolans kvalitet. Potentialen att uppfylla detta motiv för skolval begränsas av möjligheten att frångå närhetsprincipen.

Arbetet syftar till att uppmärksamma om en gängrelaterad, organiserad ungdomsbrottslighet börjat få fäste i Skåneregionen och vill i så fall belysa karaktären på brottsligheten och gängen. Vidare belyses offren, lokalisation och tidpunkter samt om polisen uppmärksammar det eventuella problemet och tar fram strategier. Material på området visar att den brottsaktive ungdomen är mellan 15-17 år och företrädesvis en pojke av utländskt ursprung. Han umgås i gäng med interna hierarkier där gängen märker ut områden som sina. Brotten är främst stöld/skadegörelse, våldsbrott, narkotikabrott och vapen är vanligt förekommande.

This study is about different teacher?s ´conception of remedial classes and its function in Today´s School. ?A school for everyone? the utopia that all schools and teachers aspire for. All pupils, regardless of ethnic background, class, and religious affiliation should be able to go to school without being segregated and are seen as different.

De visar även att arkitekturen spelar en roll för människors upplevelse av trygghet, bland annat att de känner sig mer trygga med ökad belysning..

The aim of this study has been to reach a deeper understanding of how refugee adolescences experience their ethnic identity, particular ethnic consciousness in terms of integration, assimilation and segregation. Further my intention has been to investigate if the adolescences experienced changes in their ethnic identity.   In order to investigate these questions a qualitative method consisting of four interviews were conducted. The study included two young men at the age of 18, and two young women at the age of 17 and 18. Three of the interviewed persons can be defined as refugees, but not the fourth adolescence.

Detta arbete undersöker möjligheterna att utveckla ett system som kan övervaka lastning eller automatiskt lasta malmvagnar i LKAB's Kirunavaaragruva. Arbetet bestod till stor del att utveckla en testanläggning där laserscannrar används som givare och ett datorbaserat styrsystem som använder informationen från scannrarna till att styra eller övervaka profilen på vagnarna. Anledning till ett intresse för ett sådant system kommer både från ekonomiskt och ett säkerhetsmässigt perspektiv. I dagsläget fjärrlastas malmvagnar i gruvan manuellt av operatörer som sitter ovan jord. Alla vagnar ska helst vara maximalt fyllda utan något spill.

The aim of this study was to explore refugees experiences of an introduction program in a small Swedish municipality. The study was based on semi-structured interviews with six refugees and was conducted to explore how the introduction program contributed or has not contributed to feelings of being integrated. Our informants have got different backgrounds but have all been forced to flee their home country to Sweden. The interview data was interpreted through earlier research, theories about social exclusion and concepts which were relevant for our study. Our study showed that the informants felt kindly received in the small municipality.

Sweden is a multi cultural country, where almost twenty percent of the population come from another cultural background. This study examines to what extent people with a foreign origin appear in two local, Swedish newspapers, Barometern and Östra Småland, and what role they are given. Do they appear as foreigners or immigrants or do they figure as any Swede, irrespective of their origin background?We have made a review by studying pictures of people with a foreign origin, based on name and appearance. During the time period, March 1st ? April 30 th 2010, there were 2206 articles with pictures of people where 189 of them did show people with a foreign origin.

In this thesis we present a qualitative study of Employer Branding through a perspective of gender. We examine the awareness of Employer Branding as a tool to break gender patterns in female and male dominated administrations in three Swedish municipalities. Six recruiters people were interviewed, including three pre-school managers and three managers of technical administrations, to see if there are any differences or similarities between the organizations? Employer Branding to break gender patterns. In addition to the interviews, the Web pages of these three municipalities were investigated through a contextual perspective.We found that our interviewees do use Employer Branding, but that they were not necessarily aware of its? meaning.

AbstractAuthor: Josefine KostinTitle: A succesful work of integration? ? a case study of the integration work within the Botkyrka municipalityThe last decades, Sweden has become more ethnic heterogenetic. Generations of immigration have affected the Swedish society in many ways; the language that are spoken at work and in schools, culture and the political agenda etcetera. In 2008, Botkyrka municipality was chosen to be the second best at working with integrating immigrants. On the other hand, Botkyrka has been referred to as a municipality which has failed with the integration of immigrants; for example, unemployments amongst the immigrants and segregation.

Vår uppsats handlar om elever som är födda och uppvuxna i Sverige och som läser ämnet svenska som andraspråk (SVA) istället för ämnet svenska. Syftet med studien är att få en klarhet i vad skillnaderna mellan ämnena svenska och SVA är, hur skolorna delar in eleverna i respektive ämne samt vad syftet med SVA är. Syftet är också att belysa segregationen och det sociala sammanhangets betydelse i tillämpningen av SVA. Detta är en kvalitativ studie där fem rektorer och en lärare intervjuats. Vi har använt oss av metoderna semistrukturerad intervju samt tematisk analys.

The aim in the study is to search for a deeper understanding of how parents experience a neurological diagnose of the child and how this affects the parenthood. Parenthood was seen in a systemtheoretical perspective as a social construction. The narrative method was used in two lifestory parentinterviews. The analysis was made from parenthood. The result formed stories about parenthood with children having neuropsyciatric functional disability who even came to be a woman?s struggle.
