The purpose with this study is to examine what kind of support there is for school libraries at the selected independent upper secondary schools and how these schools ensure that libraryservices is available to their students and their teachers. The purpose is also to examine what attitudes the administrators of the schools have to school libraries and teaching in information seeking. A qualitative method with interviews was used to fulfil the purpose. As a theoretical basis of the study Loertschers taxonomies of the school library media program and Limbergs three levels of pedagogic research were used and the interviews were analysed with these two theoretical frameworks as a background. The result of the study showed that neither one of the three examinated schools has a school library which means that they use the public library instead.

This report is a case study of ?citizen forums? in the municipality of Uppsala. These forums are arranged to make people participate more in local politics. The aim of this study is to find out if the opinions and the wishes coming from the citizens are later involved in the planning process etc made by the authorities. The aim is also to explain why or why not the opinions from the citizens are of any importance.My empirical data come from interviews that I have made with seven different respondents, both politicians and civil servants.

The aim of this essay is to make clear, whether or not, textile research is visualised in a wider archaeological discussion today. The aim is then to discuss what the archaeological and textile technological research situation in Scandinavia looks like today, and how that relate to what has happened in these two research fields during the years. This essay also has a purpose to find out if there is a need of visualising textile research more in future archaeology, how that shall be done, and what that can possibly supply to our general picture of the prehistory.The head questions are discussed in the light of three investigations. The first is a study of literature used in archaeological education at five Swedish universities. The other two consists of a study which is aimed to find out how textile research results are published, and one in which archaeologists and textile researchers have answered questions about how they experience the relation between archaeology and textile research.There has also been done a comparison between interpretations of the archaeological material from the site of Löddeköpinge in west Scania.

The overriding purpose of this graduate thesis is to evaluate if municipalities and county councils can deviate from the legislation of public procurement during procurement of customer choice agreements within the health and social care area. The intention of this Quasi-market is to provide the users with competition in terms of quality rather then the general principal rule of economic value.My conclusion results in a legal situation without rules of general procedure. So far the authorities make their own regulation in the field of customer choice agreements. The problem lies within the authorization of new contractors and their right to make an appeal against resolutions made by the authorities social care divisions.One solution is to legislate within the present law of public procurement. Another way to solve the problem is to create a lex specialis apart from the present public procurement regulation..

The aim of this paper is to make a plan for local treatment with Klucel® G of a book with moulddamage. The biggest problem concerned handling the book without loosing fragments and tohandle pages that were stuck together. In some places as many as six pages where stuck togetherand it was not possible to separate them without loosing material or breaking them. The otherproblem concerned the use of waterbased adhesives that might cause tidelines and paperdistortions as seen in another volume. The use of Klucel® G dissolved in ethylalcohol functionedvery well as strengtheners and also as an adhesive for lamination.

Arbetet ett företag lägger ner för att komma fram till ett beslut om en större investering i till exempel nya maskiner är oftast omfattande och ett resultat av ett strukturerat arbete med klara strategier för att i största möjliga mån uppfylla behovet som orsakade anskaffningen. Däremot har en investering i informationsteknologi av olika anledningar inte setts som vanliga investeringar utan ofta genomförts utan en ordentlig utvärdering. Med denna uppsats ville vi försöka ta reda på om det verkligen förhåller sig så att företag anskaffar IT-system utan att göra någon ordentlig analys av de problem eller behov som förorsakat anskaffningen eller om de följde de metoder och modeller som finns tillgängliga för att komma fram till ett beslut om anskaffning av ett IT-system. Vi utförde vår undersökning vid tre produktionsföretag som hade anskaffat liknande system. Vid vår analys valde vi att applicera förändringsanalysmetoden, FA/SIM och Simons vedertagna beslutsprocessmodell på det empiriska materialet.

Psittacines and reptiles are exotic animals that are difficult to care for and it requires extra knowledge to make a correct assessment of their wellbeing. An animal welfare inspector, with an education in general animal welfare, may not have a deep enough knowledge of exotic animals to do a proper assessment of the animal?s general condition and its environment. In this paper it was therefore examined if animal welfare inspectors have enough knowledge to do a satisfying inspection of establishments working with selling of exotic animals. A literature study was used to examine difficulties with each species.

Abstrakt Under vårt kandidatarbete arbetade vi under 20 veckor med att utveckla ett webbaserat spel riktat mot Facebook. Vi använde Agile/Scrum som projektmetod för vårt arbete och förändrade metoden och utvecklade verkyg för att effektivisera den för vårt syfte. Vi kom fram till att det är svårt att göra ett socialt spel och att det viktigaste i produktionen är att se till att det finns en tydlig koppling mellan spelarnas interaktion med varandra och den grundläggande spelmekaniken. Vi tappade fokus under utvecklingen och lärde oss den hårda vägen vikten av att planera realistiskt och börja ifrån grunden när man utvecklar ett spel. Spelet vi skapade använder sig av slumpässigt genererad terräng, är skrivet i JavaScript och utspelar sig i en viktoriansk miljö. We used Agile/Scrum as our project planning method, changed the method to make it more effective for our purpose and developed tools for the method. We came to the conclusion that it's hard to make a social game and that the most important thing in the production is to make sure that there's a clear connection between the players' interaction with each other and the foundations of the game mechanics. We lost focus during the development and learned the hard way the value of planning realistically and to start from the core when developing a game. The game we created uses a random generated terrain, is written in JavaScript and takes place in a Victorian environment. Årligen genomför den svenska polisen en mängd kroppsvisitationer, var och en med ett specifikt syfte. Under vår tid på polisutbildningen vid Umeå Universitet har många frågor framkommit kring de gällande bestämmelserna kring kroppsvisitationer. Syftet med arbetet är att tydliggöra för vilka regler och eventuella begränsningar som var polisman kan komma att ställas inför i sin tjänst då denna skall kroppsvisitera en person. Detta har gjorts genom inhämtande och analyserande av de främst väsentliga lagar som berör polisens företagande av kroppsvisitationer. Studier av personalansvarsnämndens beslut har genomförts och även kontakt med Justitieombudsmannen samt Justitiekanslern har tagits med anledning av vilka beslut för vägledande praxis som gjorts.

Årligen placeras ett flertal barn och unga med stöd av lagen (1990:52) med särskilda bestämmelser om vård av unga (LVU). Det centrala fokuset i denna studie är att identifiera skillnader vad gäller rättens argumentation i domskälen, gällande beslut om LVU, med utgångspunkt i föräldrakonstellationer och bioligiskt kön.Studien bygger på totalt 33 domar från 11 av Sveriges förvaltningdomstolar och analyseras i enlighet med diskursanalytisk samt innehållsanalytisk metod.Flertalet liknande studier har gjorts tidigare, men samtliga gäller barnautredningar inom socialtjänsten. Forskning med fokus på föräldrakonstellation och kön i relation till beslut med stöd av LVU saknas på det rättsliga området. Då rättens argument i LVU-domar till stor del grundas på socialjänstens utredningar finns liknande möster som presenteras i studier som gjorts inom sektorn för socialt arbete.De största skillnader som denna studie presenterar rör värderingar i relation till språket, så som att mödrar misshandlar och fäder bestraffar när våld förekommer i hemmet. Två vårdnadshavare får fler brister tilldelade sig jämfört med ensamstående föräldrar och mödrar förväntas kunna ta hand om sina barn medan fäder inte har denna förväntning på sig och anses vara försvarslösa gällande familjerelaterade problem..

The domain of this thesis is Personal Information Management (PIM) which is a sub-domain to human-computer interaction (HCI) that specifically concerns the interaction between human and information. The purpose of the study is to make an exploration of information management in a scientific research setting, to study which tools and strategies for information interaction that are used in the context and to suggest possible improvements of today's practices. Three in-depth interviews with scientific researchers have been conducted followed by a qualitative analysis of the results. The results show that there are great variations among the three respondents and that there can be distinguished as much as 15 different dimensions that when put together forms a unique PIM profile for each individual. The recommendation following this is that tools for PIM have to allow a high degree of individualisation.

Syftet med vårt examensarbete var att undersöka hur utredningar och bedömningar genomförs och på vilka grunder beslut om mottagande till grundsärskolan fattas. Antalet elever mottagna i grundsärskolan har under de senaste 10-15 åren ökat, invandringen har ökat och den medicinska forskningen har utvecklats. Detta har medfört att vi har fått nya elevgrupper i grundsärskolan. För att undersöka vårt syfte har vi genomfört intervjuer med rektorer/ särskolesamordnare i tre olika kommuner. Vi har sedan utifrån våra intervjuer jämfört dessa kommuners rutiner med de riktlinjer och rekommendationer som vi funnit.
