This essay is a study regarding the existence of Bronze Ages and Iron Ages battlefields in Scandinavia and the possibility to trace and find them by using the Battlefield Archaeological Method.Based on a theoretical background and results from historical battlefield research and excavation experiences, the discussion deals with some of the problems and possibilities of applying the Battlefield Archaeological Method on older places. The existence of these battlegrounds is also an unknown factor, and a major part of this study is trying to find evidence of their existence. For that purpose I am using as an example a deeper analysis of an Iron Age battlefield archaeological excavation in Germany in order to compare and draw parallels with the Scandinavian society of that time. I am also using the evolution of weaponry, in particular the sword, to show parallels between the Mediterranean and the Scandinavian societies in the matter of warfare and tactics..

This thesis examines the relationship between OECD-DAC and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) within an aid efficiency context. The ability for these two actors to cooperate is highly important and determines the outcome for a major part of the development aid in the new millennium. The development agenda for the new millennium emphasizes aid efficiency as a key to a more successful aid, and this requires increased cooperation between all actors. The analysis made is a discourse analysis. The discourse of aid efficiency is analyzed, both its preconditions and results.The analyze finds out that there is a gap between OECD-DAC and CSOs in terms of how to handle aid efficiency.

This study aimed to describe children?s experience of living with overweight or obesity, by using a literature-review. The study includes eleven articles, data is from children between ages 5-15 year. The result occurring were in the areas; Quality of life and self-esteem, Social company, Body concept and weight reduction and Psychological unhealth. BMI above what is recommended gives a negative influence on quality of live and self-esteem.

Patienter med förmaksflimmer finns inom alla områden i hälso- och sjukvården och allmänsjuksköterskan kommer troligen att träffa på dessa i sitt yrke. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att studera vilka faktorer som påverkar livskvaliteten hos patienter med förmaksflimmer samt vilket kunskapsbehov de har angående sin sjukdom. Metoden är en litteraturstudie enligt Goodmans (1993) sju steg. Resultatet baseras på elva vetenskapliga artiklar. Carnevalis omvårdnadsmodell rörande dagligt liv ? funktionellt hälsotillstånd används som teoretisk referensram.

This is a qualitative study of how 4 school teachers and 3 special educational teachers define the term ?pupil in need of special education?. They have each one been interviewed about this term, by the means of a semi-structured interview. Afterwards the collected information has been analyzed and seven major themes have been arranged out of them. From these themes it is possible to see that the term is hard to define, since the participants all believe that it should be decided by each individual case, if the pupil is in need of special education or not, and that the education in itself has to be relevant to the need, which means one cannot decide what special educational needs are, without a student who is in need of them.

The main purpose of this thesis is to discuss what exile writing is and who can be seen as an exile writer. If the word ?exile? is related to forced dislocation, like Paul Tabori and Sopia A. McClennen describes it, who can be viewed as an exile writer? Is Anders Olsson?s definition of an exile writer acceptable or not? Could the The Escape, a future story about exiled Northern Europeans in Myanmar, be classified as exile literature?Another purpose with this text is to describe how a story about exile can be made realistic and tangible to a reader who has not experienced exile.

This thesis discusses the 2007 elections in Kenya, and its aftermath. The aim is to examine whether or not ethnicity played a major role in the outbreak of violence that followed the referendum. As well as different theories and discussions on ethnicity, I will also try to explain the course of events by using theories of increased civil violence during a democratic transition, and the fact that weak political institutions can cause violence. My conclusion is that ethnicity has played a part in the violence, but is too simple to blame the events following the election on just that. A number of different factors all contributed to the outbreak, but all to a different extent.

Sammanfattning. En till två procent av befolkningen är diagnostiserade med bipolärt syndrom. Ordet bipolär betyder två poler och innebär svängningar mellan förhöjt stämningsläge, depression och neutral grundstämning. Närstående till dessa personer kan hamna i oväntade och påfrestande situationer och påverkas. Studiens syfte var att beskriva hur närstående till patienter med bipolärt syndrom upplever sjukdomen och hur den påverkar livet.

The aim of this study is to study the construction of literary values. I have been looking at how literature awarded with sponsored literary prizes has been reviewed in four major English and American newspapers. I have been studying the reception of literature by Ian McEwan, Hilary Mantel, Colm Tóibín and Zadie Smith between 2000 and 2012. The prizes in focus are the Man Booker Prize, the Orange prize for fiction and the Costa Awards. There seems to be an increasing number of articles related to each author after they have been awarded a prize, however with little change in the content of the reviews.

Det tycks finnas ett samband mellan läs- och skrivsvårigheter och spänningssökarbeteende. Syftet var att studera om det fanns ett samband mellan läs- och skrivsvårigheter och spänningssökarbeteende hos gymnasieelever. Dessutom har ett flertal undersökningar visat på ett högre spänningssökarbeteende hos pojkar än hos flickor, vilket också undersöktes. Undersökningsmetoden bestod av test för läs- och skrivsvårigheter samt självskattningsformulär för spänningssökarbeteende. Resultatet visade att det inte fanns någon signifikant skillnad i spänningssökarbeteende mellan de gymnasieelever som antagits ha dyslexi och de utan dyslexi.

At the time of the study, there is no law to prevent an employer from doing criminal background checks. Employers for School and childcare have to do criminal background checks before hiring but the background checks have increased significantly in other industries as well. The aim of this thesis is to analyze and explain what interest employers may have in jobseekers history and how it can affect people?s privacy. To do this I have used right dogmatic approach combined with four interviews with different employers to get their perspective on the subject.

Den psykiska ohälsan hos ungdomar är hög, dessutom är samsjuklighet vanligt. Det transdiagnostiska perspektivet utgår från att olika syndrom delar samma underliggande processer varav repetitiva negativa tankar är en sådan process. Denna kombinerade longitudinella- och tvärsnittsstudie syftade till att undersöka psykiska symtom (inom social ångest, depression och sömnproblem) och deras stabilitet över tid samt koppling till repetitiva negativa tankar hos gymnasieungdomar. Genom klusteranalys framkom ett antal symtomprofiler för vartdera mättillfälle (ett symtomfritt kluster, singelproblematikkluster och samtidiga symtom/samsjuklighetskluster). Dessa symtomprofiler visade sig vara stabila över tid.

Artros är en vanlig folksjukdom där 3-5 procent av Sveriges befolkning är drabbad. Oftast drabbas höft- och knälederna vilka är de viktbärande lederna men även andra leder kan drabbas. Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie är att belysa vuxna patienters upplevelser av artros i det dagliga livet. Studien är baserad på 11 kvalitativa och kvantitativa artiklar där Goodmans sju steg används som metod. Resultatet presenteras under temat smärta och de tre kategorierna: fysisk funktionsnedsättning, psykisk påverkan och sociala begränsningar.

Bakgrund: I hela världen är cirka 50 miljoner människor drabbade av urininkontinens. I Sverige besväras minst 500 000 människor och cirka 213 utav dem är kvinnor. Symtom på inkontinens påverkar den drabbade både fysiskt, psykiskt och psykosocialt. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva faktorer som kan ha betydelse för kvinnors livskvalitet. Metod: Studien är en litteraturstudie som baserats på åtta kvantitativa artiklar.

2013 är det första året samtliga fyra svenska storbanker frivilligt väljer att upprätta separata hållbarhetsredovisningar. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka för vilka intressenter de svenska storbankernas hållbarhetsredovisningar som avser 2012, är mest relevanta. Studiens empiri består av en kvalitativ tvärsnittsstudie som utvärderar respektive hållbarhetsredovisning och sammanfattningsvis ger en helhetsbild av fenomenet. Empirin analyseras med stöd från teorier och forskningsstudier med koppling till hållbarhetsredovisning. Studiens analys resulterar i en slutsats som visar att storbankernas hållbarhetsredovisningar är mest relevanta för storbankernas egennytta i form av ett strategiverktyg som samtidigt belyser företagsandan..
