Syftet har varit att undersöka om det föreligger ett samband mellan socioekonomisk position och psykisk ohälsa i ålderdomen och om detta samband till någon del kan förklaras av ett samband mellan socioekonomisk position och fritidsaktiviteter. Det har för detta ändamål gjorts ordinala logistiska regressionsanalyser där utbildningens alternativt inkomstens samband med psykisk ohälsa kontrollerats för fritidsaktiviteter. Den beroende variabeln har skapats utifrån befintligt datamaterial från de representativa undersökningarna SWEOLD och LNU. Kombinationen av datamaterial från dessa två undersökningar har möjligjgjort longitudinella analyser. Studiens analyser visade att kulturella aktiviteter och ett generellt rikare fritidsliv förklarade till viss det negativa sambandet mellan utbildning och psykisk ohälsa alternativt inkomst och psykisk ohälsa..

Abstract The goal of the study was to conduct an in-depth investigation of how conflicts are resolved in schools, from a pupil- and a teacher perspective. Our intention was to view and compare pupils and teachers different opinions in the school environment. A major focus was put on different ways teacher handle conflicts and how they try to prevent them. The material was acquired by interviews with both teachers and pupils. The study is based on Jean Piagets and Lev Vygotskijs visions about the cognitive developmental stage for children. The result of the study shows the teachers need to be attentive and also that the pupils generally do not notice when the teacher works to prevent conflicts.

Inledning: I dagens läge ligger mycket fokus på teknik inom hörselvården och den del i rehabiliteringen som fokuserar på tankar och känslor har kommit i skymundan. Gruppcounseling är ett sätt att avhjälpa detta på ett kostnadseffektivt sätt. Syfte: Att beskriva och diskutera audiologisk counseling och hur detta kan användas i grupputförande mot vuxna med hörselnedsättning. Fokus ligger på innehålls- och individanpassad counseling. Metod: En litteraturstudie har genomförts.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease, which affects mostly women. RA is also a chronic disease and the treatment is focused on moderating the immunological process. RA-patients experience daily pain which affect their prosperity. The aim of this literature study is to illuminate some factors that influence the well-being of patients with RA. The factors that have been studied are pain, nutrition and need of knowledge about nutrition.

The freshwater pearl mussel (Margaritifera margaritifera) is threatened throughout its range. There has been a substantial decline of the species and one major reason is habitat degradation. We investigated how the substrate composition of the bottom floor affects the regeneration of the mussel by analyzing data from the Västerbotten County Board?s inventory of the freshwater pearl mussel. The results implied that fine material such as fine sediment and sand might be detrimental to regeneration whereas gravel and boulders and in particular stone seem to be beneficial.

The aim of this study was to investigate physical education teachers (PET) view of the needs of physiotherapy in compulsory school. Semi structured interviews were conducted with five PET. The study was carried out as a qualitative content analyse study. The interviews were coded in categories independently by the two authors. The categories were then brought together in four major categories: PET work situation, pupil health, physiotherapy and cooperation.

Introduktion: Endometrios är en vanlig förekommande, ofta dold, gynekologisk sjukdom som 5-15% av världens kvinnor lider av. Sjukdomen yttrar sig i form av symtom som smärta, infertilitet, trötthet, depression, mag- och tarmbesvär med mera. Sjuksköterskans roll är att främja hälsa utifrån ett helhetsperspektiv.Syfte: Att belysa kvinnors upplevelse av att leva med endometrios.Metod: Utformas enlig Polit och Beck?s (2012) niostegsmodell för litteraturstudier. Två databaser genomsöktes i databassökningen och resultatet grundades på 12 artiklar som genomgått urval och kvalitetsgranskning.Resultat: 4 teman identifierades i resultatet: ?Inte bara vanlig mensvärk ? vardagen med endometrios?, ?Att inte bli tagen på allvar?, ?Känslan av otillräcklighet och oro? och ?Att ta kontrollen?.Slutsats: Kvinnorna som lider av endometrios upplever att sjukdomen har negativ inverkan på alla aspekter av deras liv och att de saknar stöd och hjälp med hantering av sjukdomen från vården, men också av familj och vänner..

Fitting in is something that many strive for in today?s society. In order to do this, more or less all of us use impression management. The illness Anorexia contradicts the norms of society since eating is a fundamental need, and to refrain from this is therefore a major discrepancy. It is the impression management among anorectics we have chosen to put our emphasis on in this survey in which about ten people have been interviewed with a qualitative method.

This study aims to examine how social workers, in the Swedish social services, perceive and interpret LVU § 3 from a gender perspective. In total eight social workers participated in the study, attending interviews based on a vignette. From a gender perspective we wanted to found out how the social workers define "other socially destructive behaviour" and understand their thoughts about this subject. Moreover, we aimed to see if social workers perceive any differences between boys and girls behaviour. Based on several theories, two gender theories and concepts we have analysed our result from the interviews.

This thesis will portray the different types of students at the programs of library studiesin Lund and Umeå.The study is based upon quantitative information gathered from a survey, which wasdistributed to first-year students in Lund and Umeå. The survey was followed by qualitativeinterviews with four students, and with the director of studies from each school.The study shows that the programs, as we11 as the students, are very similar, althoughthere are some minor differences. It seemed that the students at Umeå were moreinterested in culture than those at Lund.A certain connection between the aim at information and the ownership of a computercould be detected. The sex of the students played a major part in their choice of education.The attractors and facilitators, used by Lortie in his study, could also be appliedto the students at the program of library studies in our thesis..

The implementation of integration policy has in recent times been a major problem for the municipal administrations in Swedish municipalities. The concept of integration is considered to be very diffuse, difficult to apply and implement the following decisions. To understand the concept of integration is the first step, followed by understanding its complexity in an organization.In this study, I focus on studying the implementation of integration policies for integration work with Kalmar Municipality as a case study. I am using Lundquist's implementation theory about understanding, able and willing. The survey consists primarily of interviews but also a certain document to get a perspective on how integration policy has gone into integration work with the hypothesis that it is the understanding that weaknesses of the officials in the implementation of integration policies.

Livet för unga elitidrottande gymnasieelever innebär dubbla karriärer med krav inom både skola och idrott. Skambenägenhet och rädsla för att misslyckas kopplas till prestation och har en koppling till psykisk ohälsa. Syftet med denna tvärsnittstudie var att undersöka hur dessa variabler korrelerar med varandra samt hur väl skambenägenhet och rädsla för att misslyckas kunde predicera psykisk ohälsa efter att kön kontrollerats för.  Deltagarna i studien utgjordes av 149 elever på ett elitidrottsgymnasium. I enlighet med förväntningarna korrelerade skambenägenhet, rädsla för att misslyckas och psykisk ohälsa positivt. Resultaten tyder på att elitidrottande gymnasieelevers psykiska ohälsa ökade med ökad skambenägenhet och ökad rädsla för att misslyckas.

Depression, stress och utbrändhet är idag de vanligaste sjukskrivningsorsakerna. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur personer som drabbats av utbrändhet ser på fenomenet och hur det påverkar deras liv utifrån ett socialkonstruktionistiskt perspektiv. Deltagarna i studien var tre kvinnor och tre män från olika yrkesgrupper. Resultatet har tolkats med den hermeneutiska metoden och visar att utbrändhet handlar om långvarig psykisk ohälsa som orsakats av att respondenterna inte klarar av att leva upp till de identiteter som de har skapat i interaktionen med andra. Det verkar som om omgivningen hade en annan syn på psykisk ohälsa än vad respondenterna hade vilket fick konsekvenser.
