The aim of this study was to investigate physician?s view of physiotherapy in primary health care. Semi structured interviews were conducted with five physicians. The study was carried out as a qualitative context analyse study. The interviews were coded in categories independently by the two authors. The categories were then brought together in four major categories: confidence, cooperation, status, progress of the profession. The result indicated that the informants in the study had a god confidence towards physiotherapy. They pointed out some fields in the physiotherapist profession that is in need of some further development such as scientific evidence and psychosocial management. The informants also criticised some aspects of the physiotherapist profession for example the economic system regarding private settings.
