Background: The relationship between advanced age, presence of illness and impaired functioning is well known. A large proportion of the elderly population has an extensive need of care and service and therefore need help from municipal care. Aging is a transition in life and also affects the person's identity and self image, making the person particularly vulnerable and challenging everyday safety. It is therefore of importance to gain knowledge about which factors at individual and organizational level that support a person-centered nursing care for the elderly so that caring responsibilities and staffing of nursing personnel may be scheduled based on need. Aim: This study aimed at describing dependency and care needs of elderly persons living in ordinary housing, sheltered housing and nursing homes.

Causes of thrombocytopenia in dogs ? a retrospective study of 123 cases The purpose of this retrospective case study was to determine which diseases are associated with thrombocytopenia in Swedish dogs. Records of 123 dogs with thrombocytopenia were evaluated. The most common cause was neoplasia-associated thrombocytopenia (32%). The largest proportion within this group was unspecified neoplasia.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine why graduates in librarian- and information science are employed by private companies. An initial explanation could be the influence of information technology and its impact on the librarian. A second factor relates to how employers regard the librarian outside the confines of the traditional labour market. The study is primarily based upon qualitative interviews with representatives of Swedish companies who have employed librarians since 1993, the year that the education achieved third level academic recognition. Theoretically we relied upon Manuel Castells discussion on the rise of the information society and its influence on companies and the labour market.

Syftet med undersökningen var att uppnå en djupare förståelse av olika professioners bild av mobbningsoffers upplevelse kring sin utsatthet på kort och lång sikt. Vidare var syftet att närmare förstå hur mobbningen påverkar offrets studiesituation på gymnasiet. Utifrån det just nämnda utvecklades tre frågeställningar där svar försökte sökas efter vilken bild olika professioner inom barn- och ungdomshälsovård har av mobbningsoffers utsatthet samt vilka effekter som skapas hos offret och hur studiesituationen påverkas.Metoden som valdes var kvalitativ eftersom syftet var att finna svar av djupare karaktär. Det genomfördes fem semistrukturerade intervjuer med olika professioner inom barn- och ungdomshälsovård; en skolsköterska, en kurator och två psykologer på barn- och ungdomspsykiatrin och en psykolog på ungdomsmottagningen.Resultatet visar att vardagen för mobbningsoffret är otroligt jobbig. Personen känner skam och upplever ett socialt trauma.

I work on a lighting design for a dance performance to be on tour. A lighting design adapted for three different conditions was made: - One comprehensive where I allow myself a great deal of creative freedom, adapted for the stages with major technical conditions. - One smaller version for stages with less equipment and with less time for preparation on site. - One design for very simple conditions. I also examine the specific differences between typical theatrical lighting design and typical dance lighting design, and the best way to prepare for the hands-on stage design phase..
