This project investigated the current market regarding wireless net and the communication between the tools used for diagnostics/Maintenance and an embedded system. Based on documentation obtained through interviews a demo system was created based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication between an embedded system and an Android device.This report intends to describe the tools and methods used in the design of the demo system and the result of an analysis of the BLE communication.Bluetooth Low Energy is an exciting protocol with wide applicability within the industrial field. Allt större och större andel företag väljer att presentera och förmedla varor och tjänster via e-handel. En viktig aspekt vid e-handel är att kunden känner förtroende för e-handelsapplikationen och företaget. Denna rapport redogör för vilken inverkan multimediala inslag har för förtroendet av en e-handelsapplikation, vid initialt användande. En undersökning har genomförts med hjälp av en kooperativ utvärdering av fyra e-handelsapplikationer vilka innehåller olika typer av multimediala inslag har.Resultatet av undersökningen visar att multimediala inslag inverkar positivt på förtroendet för e-handelsapplikationer. Däremot finns indikationer på att för hög grad av multimedialt inslag inverkar negativt på förtroendet för e-handelsapplikationer..

Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är dels att ge förståelse till problematiken med underhåll. Dels att ge upplysningar och förslag som kan bidra till lösningar kring användningen av avdragsgilla underhållsfonder i praktiken, för att främja och strukturera underhållsfinansieringen i kommunala bostadsföretag.  Metod: Till denna undersökning har jag använt mig av en genomgripande datainsamling. Jag har använt mig av en kvalitativ metod i form av åtta intervjuer, och detta har även varit undersökningens primärdata. Undersökningens sekundärdata avser litteratur och ett stort antal dokument. Arbetsmetoden har varit en kreativ process. Resultat & slutsats: Jag har kommit fram till att underhållsfonder, underhållsplaner och ombyggnationer minskar det eftersatta underhållet.

Rapporten behandlar upprättandet av rollbeskrivningar för STOMT-T, SAS Technical Services avdelning för planering av ?Line Maintenance? (underhåll som utförs under nattstopp, för att erhålla flygvärdighet).Arbetet syftar till att effektivisera verksamheten inom STOMT-T. Rollbeskrivningarna är även tilltänkta som hjälpmedel då ett nytt datasystem tas i bruk.Under arbetets gång har intervjuer med personalen på STOMT-T genomförts. Materialet har sedan analyserats i samarbete med ledningen och legat som grund för framtagna rollbeskrivningar.Arbetet resulterade i upprättade befattningsbeskrivningar för samtliga roller inom STOMT-T. För att möjliggöra mätning av effektivitet och prestation har nyckeltal inkluderats.

This thesis handles the problems regarding different value aspects which are applied during restoration and renovation of churches. The curator?s aspects along with the interests regarding change that exists today, is often integrated and is therefore affecting the final results. The thesis aims to discuss the different perspectives and to look at the different values the room possesses. Furthermore, the historical aspects are discussed along with possible strategies to increase a positive outcome of restorations and how to integrate churches to the modern standards in terms of use and allowing them to be a part of a living cultural heritage.Church buildings have historically speaking always had a significant meaning to people, independent of religious belief.

Företag kan använda sig av olika strategier för underhåll. Det kan vara avhjälpande underhåll som utförs först när ett fel uppkommer eller förebyggande underhåll. Ofta används en kombination av båda. Det förebyggande underhållet kan vara förutbestämt eller tillståndsbaserat. Fördelar med att använda sig av tillståndsbaserat underhåll är exempelvis att utbyte av enheter inte behöver ske i onödan utan först när en observation visar att ett fel är på väg att ske.

Denna rapport bygger på den kommande solcellsfasaden på kvarteret Frodeparken i centrala Uppsala. Projektet genomförs genom ett partneringavtal mellan Skanska Sverige AB och Uppsalahem. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att skapa en underhållsplan samt en investeringskalkyl för projektet. En teknisk bakgrund för solcellsanläggningar har sammanställts för att förstå hur systemet fungerar. Underhållsplanen grundas på fakta från solcellsleverantören och uppgifter från referensobjekt. Det har visat sig att solcellsanläggningar kräver väldigt lite underhåll. För att få en bred syn på investeringen har ett antal simuleringar på investeringskalkylen genomförts.

There are few legally protected gardens in Sweden, and those that are protected are mainly from the 17th and 18th centuries. All time periods have the same value and more modern gardens therefore needs to be protected. Evaluating parks is, however, complicated since it do not exist any methods. One environment from the 1960?s that has not been protected is Televerket in Farsta, Stockholm. The facility has been classified as worthy of preservation by Stockholm City Museum and has received the Kasper Salin Prize.

Trafikverket ansvarar för det statliga vägnätet i Sverige. Vägnätet består av cirka15 500 broar som ständigt utsätts för olika former av nedbrytning. Broarnabehöver därför underhållas med jämna mellanrum både för att hålla broarna i ettbra skick och för att motverka att nedbrytningen påskyndas.Under de senare åren har Trafikverket utformat en ny upphandlingsmetod avbrounderhåll. Den går ut på att allt brounderhåll för en region paketeras, i ett s.k.brounderhållspaket, som en entreprenör sköter i en femårig period. Ibrounderhållspaketen ingår förebyggande underhåll, avhjälpande underhåll ochakut underhåll.Syftet med det här arbetet är att följa upp den nya formen att upphandlabrounderhåll i paket.

Our study is based on a number of specifically selected incidents which show the consequences these disruptions cause in management, security and quality within the operation. Our intention was also to examine what role the medical technology department of the hospital plays in the care production operation during these unplanned stoppages. Method:Through a qualitative study we have generated material from a number of interviews with staff working in the hospital of Kalmar.

Evaluations of open Ditch status and function, with an assessment of suitability of a conversion to a two stage ditch as a low Maintenance alternative. To illustrate Swedish drainage problems this work focused on two agricultural drainage associations assessed in detail with a new method called MADRAS (Minnesota Agricultural Ditch Reach Assessment for Stability). With the assessment of the MADRAS method estimates were made to conclude the ditches operating problems. This was made through measurements of sediment depths, mass bank failures etc. in order to quantify ditch problems and propose practical actions for improved ditch stability and water quality. The MADRAS surveys were conducted in two main ditches that drains 2900 hectares of land on the northern shores of Mälaren. In the study measurements of the ditch cross-sections were also conducted to compare actual profiles with the original map profiles. The evaluation showed that parts of the studied ditch sections were operatively poor; main reason was mass bank failure, undercut channel banks, sediment aggregations and narrowed ditches. The profile survey shows that a majority of the profiles 80 % has sediment accumulations there remains only 64 % of the original profile from the map.

Under litteraturstudierna fick författarna en uppfattning om att järnvägsbranschen är präglad av en hel del problematik som visat sig i ett flertal brister. Flera större omorganiseringar hade skapat en bransch med otydliga ansvarsgränser och otydliga roller med en mängd utdragna rättsliga tvister mellan beställare och entreprenörer som följd. Stämningen beskrevs som dyster och kompromisser mellan järnvägsaktörer förekom inte i den mån som behövdes, utan aktörerna tänkte mest på sin egen verksamhet. En ändring behövdes.Rapporten är begränsad till tre nyckelaktörer med koppling till järnvägsunderhåll: beställare, entreprenör och trafikutövare. Fokus har lagts på det alltför förekommande avhjälpande underhållet, som visar sig i form av trafikstörningar och trafikstopp.

During 2007 the City of Stockholm installed five grid connected photovoltaic systems. The aim of this master thesis is to quantify the amount of produced energy and recommend routines to collect and analyse production data, to make production data accessible by the public and to gain experience for future installations.The total amount of produced energy until March 2009 is 227 000 kWh, with an annual rate of 150 000 kWh. The expected annual rate was 148 000 kWh.All system owners are positive about their plants and see economical benefits in scaling up such systems.The installations need very little attendance and Maintenance, however it is recommended that an alarm function is installed for automatic feedback in case of a system failure. All future systems should be inspected during full operation to determine if the actual capacity is matching the installed capacity..

More than fifty percent of the world population today lives in cities, and the pressures of urbanisation are particularly present in developing countries. As landscape architects, it is important to gain knowledge about the effect of urbanisation and ways to prevent the negativities. Experiencing the effects in person in a developing country, as well as learning from and about other cultures, enhances the understanding for global situations. Dar es Salaam is located in one of the most rapidly urbanising regions in the world, which puts pressure on the environment and the humans living in it. Lack of means to regulate land development has led to a situation where expansion of unplanned settlements occurs, with spatial disorder as a consequence. This has in the extension led to a decreasing amount of publicly available and qualitative green spaces, and degradation of the few ones that exist. There are facts that strengthen the status of urban parks, which especially becomes relevant in developing countries where many people live in sparse and exposed conditions.

The use of the robust and durable woody ground covers is increasing, not in the least in public places. The group includes low shrubs of different height that effectively build low, tight vegetation that covers the ground. Despite all the good qualities the knowledge about them is quite low and there are ideas about them of being dull. The woody ground covers manage to struggle against weeds effectively by competing for nourishment and water, but above all, by the canopy of the ground covers that prevent the weeds from getting enough light. In that way the woody groundcovers can effectively compete with the annual weeds.
