Uppsatsen är av kvalitativ karaktär och intervjuer genomfördes med fem personer som sagt upp anställda på grund av arbetsbrist under 2008.Resultatet av studien visar att organisationsstrukturen avgör vilken position uppsägaren har samt vilka påverkansmöjligheter han/hon har i uppsägningsprocessen.

Denna rapport är en sammanställning av utfört examensarbete åt CreateIT AB i Junsele. Uppgiften var att utreda hur man kan implementera ett system för att ta reda på en mobils position i CreateITs tidredovisningsapplikation. I rapporten tar vi upp flera teorier för hur en position kan bestämmas, dels GSM-nätets positionsbestämning och dels genom GPS-satelliter. Fördelar och nackdelar med de båda systemen diskuteras i rapporten. Vi granskar de tjänster och produkter som finns på marknaden våren 2002.

The focus in this paper was on managers in the middle position in the care of the elderly and people with disabilities. The aim was to develop knowledge about the conditions of work among managers in the middle position and what they characterized as good leadership and which strategies they used in their work. The empirical data consisted of nine qualitative interviews with managers in the middle position in the municipality of Halmstad.The frameworks that mainly limited the middle managers' discretion were laws, political regulations and most of all it was the allocated budget. Their discretion was found closer to the operation such as working methods, recruitment and changes in job schedules. The middle managers spent the majority of their working hours with personnel administrative work and that they often had to prioritise among their tasks.

Back problems are well noticed in horses, especially in horses used for riding. Kissing spines (impingement of the dorsal spinous processes) are often found at radiographic examinations of the thoracic spine. Kissing spines is a radiological diagnosis, indicating that parts of at least two adjacent dorsal spinous processes are in contact with each other. It is not uncommon that horses without clinical signs of back problems have some degree of kissing spines. It is therefore not sufficient with a radiographic examination to say that the cause of pain is kissing spines.

The examination is focusing on the person who is working in the supervising position in a company. Two different case studies performed with qualitative interviews. One case study is in the service industry and the other case study is in the manufacture industry. The aim with this study is to bring greater understanding to the eventual problems of identity that a supervisor canexperience because of his/her working position boarder between groups. Dagens samhälle präglas av en vilja att göra karriär. Att göra karriär innebär för många att bli chef eller att på något sätt nå en ledande position där man har makten att bestämma över andra. Det finns en uppsjö av litteratur kring hur man är en bra chef, hur man utvecklar ledaregenskaper samt hur man gör karriär. Det saknas dock forskning som fokuserar på hur man blir en ledare. Alltså vilka faktorer och egenskaper som är viktiga eller avgörande för att man ska nå sin målsättning att bli just chef.Syftet med denna uppsats är att belysa de faktorer som banar väg till en ledande position inom ett företag eller en organisation.

This essay is about boundaries between, "us and them", in the Swedish culture and immigrant culture in Sweden. The focus is to examine the political interest of the citizens to understand other ethnic cultures who lives in Sweden. One question concerns how the borderlines between different cultures has been painted partly through blogs but also by the media. Is this a result of ignorance or does it depends because of the influence of certain individuals. To find this out, I will study various electronic sources such as blogs, forums and news articles.

Aerated steam treatment is a modern and environmental friendly method for seed borne fungus sanitation, mainly used on cereals. The method involves exposure to heat and high humidity, factors which are known to induce a fast ageing of seeds, thus resulting in reduced storability. This thesis clarifies the interdependence between seed age and the aerated steam treatment intensities. Two studies were carried out in this thesis. In the first study the storage longevity of seeds treated with aerated steam was examined. The second study investigated the shelf-life of the pre-tests used to determine the aerated steam treatment tolerance of a seed lot, by testing the treatment tolerance of seeds aged prior to the treatment.

AbstractThis thesis discusses and analyses a 19th century female author's vanishing from history. The study investigates social relationships as figured and described in the epistolary form, based on letters between the author herself and different members of her family. It also tries to identify the author's position and situation in her time and society according to important themes and motifs in her novels. The main purpose is not to reconstruct history, but rather to show the many complex histories that can also be described, apart from the simplified and generalized one. The aim of this study is to, from a post-structuralist perspective, analyze the position of author Marianne Lundegård-Hagberg, and her role as a performative, discursive person that history forgot..

The purpose of this paper is to investigate how social workers, working in a management position in the health care system, perceive the encounter of the medical and social perspective. With seven qualitative interviews, the study tries to conclude whether or not social workers are accepted at managerial positions within the health care sector. The social worker is, as a manager in health care, a leader but at the same time in a professional alienation from the medical caregivers. Organizations in the health care sector are often multi professional and have their own long standing tradition, history and culture. The results show that the conditions for social workers, working in a management position in health care appear to be agreeable.

Sara Lidman?s second novel Hjortronlandet (1955) unfolds in the north of Sweden in the early 20th century. It describes the progress of modernity and the conflicting interests of an old local culture and a new more ?civilised? one. The two cultures are constituted by different value systems and in the novel they are represented by two neighbour communities.

Hotel and restaurant industry have always been seen as an industry with low status and poorworking conditions. Low wages, temporary contracts, illegal work, and sexual harassment are the rule rather than the exception when the employee?s working conditions discusses. By using the right dogmatic approach together with a social science perspective the purpose of the study has been answered. The purpose has been to contribute to a greater understanding of how it is that the hotel and restaurant industry?s poor working conditions can be maintained, the extent to which the working conditions of the employees is ensured and why mostly young people, women and people with foreign backgrounds are employed in the industry.
