Lokaliseringsutredning för nytt hotell i Sandvikens tätort med stöd av multikriterieanalys

The municipality of Sandviken is in a state of strong growth. This affects the need for more hotel rooms in Sandviken, in a way that it?s profitable to invest in a new hotel. Sandvikens largest company, the steal industry Sandvik AB, grows just like Sandviken, and have great influence on the need of more hotel rooms. Today there are three hotels placed in Sandviken, and these hotels aren?t enough when the pressure of hotel guests is at its top.The purpose with the project was to analyse the criteria?s that are important for localization of a new hotel in the Sandviken, and to clarify what kind of hotel Sandviken is in need of.

Radisson SAS - Varför har deras företagskunder valt dem, och varför stannar de kvar

Purpose: The purpose of this essay is to study how the hotel chain Radisson SAS works with prolonged customer relations with their business clients, with other words the clients that have business agreements with them.Methods: This study will contain an inductive approach and qualitative methods. The qualitative research method is in the shape of a deep interview with the sales manager of Radisson SAS and qualitative interviews of chosen business clients to the hotel.Results: The results of this investigation show that business clients are controlled by what kind of agreements their company has.The companies sign agreements with hotels and hotel chains that are able to satisfy big parts of their needs, if not all of them.With the help of flexible solutions, a well known brand, and good relations, Radisson SAS has made sure that their business clients have prolonged their agreements.They are a global hotel chain near transports, and business clients feel secure with Radisson SAS..

Lyxkonsumtion ur Generation Y:s perspektiv ? En studie kring attityder, värderingar och varumärkesuppfattningar

Intresset för lyxprodukter har ökat runt om i världen vilket också blivit allt mer framträdande i Sverige. Marknaden för lyxprodukter har de senaste åren förändrats och banat väg för en ny kategori av lyx tillgänglig för en globalt växande medelklass. Den nya kategorin benämns ofta som new luxury vilket innebär en åtkomlig kategori av statusgivande produkter som är lägre i pris än de traditionella lyxprodukterna. Allt fler lyxföretag väljer att expandera för att kunna nå en bredare kundbas och tillämpar därför produktlinjeutvidgning eller varumärkesutvidgning. En alltför omfattande expandering kan dock innebära risker eftersom den uppfattade exklusiviteten hos ett lyxföretag kan gå förlorad.

Genus i Paradise Hotel: En innehållsanalys av deltagarna sett ur ett genus- och gestaltningsperspektiv

Avsikten med denna uppsats har varit att granska deltagarna i Paradise Hotel 2013/14 ur ett genus- och gestaltningsperspektiv och undersöka vilka stereotyper som gör sig synliga i programmet. Undersökningen har skett i form av en innehållsanalys med teorierna; bilder och tilltal, genusteori och gestaltningsteori som grund.Det utvalda materialet utgörs av ett strategiskt urval av åtta händelserika scener. I det första analyssteget granskades handlingen i scenerna, därefter gjordes en granskning av innehållet i scenerna utifrån tre olika teorier; bilder och tilltal, genusperspektivet och gestaltningsteorin.Resultaten visar att genusordningen i Paradise Hotel bekräftar bilden av dagens ojämställda samhälle. Alla scenerna reproducerar teorierna om ojämna könsförhållanden och stereotypskapandet..

Flödeslogistik vid Laponia Hotel

The aim of this report is to analyse the logistics of a medium sized restaurant and give an overall solution for improvements on the restaurant's logistics. The restaurant of interest belongs to Laponia Hotel and is located in Arvidsjaur, Sweden. Investments for over 100.000 Euros are planned for the hotel, which includes a reconstruction of the restaurant. The details on how the restaurant will be reconstructed are not yet known. I therefore chose to analyse the problemin general terms and find a solution that is focused on the logistic system itself rather than its layout.

Konsumenters attityd på ett hotell : en studie av Hotel FrykenStrand

Kvalitet, miljö och marknadsföring är några av de mest väsentliga delarna för en hotellverksamhet. Dessa aspekter ger en bild av bakomliggande orsaker och förklaringar till konsumenters attityd. Eftersom konsumenters behov ständigt förändras är det betydelsefullt för ett hotell att kontinuerligt upprätthålla konsumentens intresse för att göra hotellbesöket till en angenäm vistelse.Syftet med denna uppsats är att granska Hotel FrykenStrands konsumenters attityder vid hotellbesök i allmänhet samt på Hotel FrykenStrand i synnerhet. Uppsatsen skall även ge en indikation på vad Hotel FrykenStrands marknadsföring har för verkan på hotellets konsumenter.Resultatet av vår studie har visat att för att en verksamhet skall kunna ha en möjlighet att tillfredsställa sina konsumenter på bästa tänkbara sätt bör hotellet ha kunskapen om vilka faktorer som konsumenterna värderar högre än andra. Det som skiljer effekten av faktorerna åt är i vilket syfte och mån som konsumenten efterfrågar kvalitetsfaktorerna.

The hotel is located on Skatholmen in the archipelago of Stockholm, Värmdö county. The hotel building has an open structure characterized by hospitality and the nature outside. The rooms have stunning views of the island landscape and lush forest. With biodiversity and valuable nature in mind, the building has been designed with a structure that should not be too intrusive in the surrounding landscape. The purpose of this study was to examine two relatively similar product industries, of which one is successful in its commercialization and the other one is not successful. The two industries observed in this paper are both Swedish industries, and both of them produce slow moving consumer goods for the luxury consumer. The successful industry is represented by the Swedish fashion industry, more precisely The Swedish Fashion Wonder (TSFW) - a term describing the success of a specific coalition of fashion designers from Sweden. The unsuccessful industry is represented by the luxury watch industry in Sweden (LWIS). The method used to examine the two industries' inequalities is based on a qualitative study, consisting of in-depth interviews with industry expertise from both of the industries.

Hotells internetnärvaro : En jämförande studie mellan Karlstads kedjehotell och oberoende hotells exponering på Internet.

In today?s society Internet is evolving the tourism industry and it?s the pioneers that use this marketing channel to further their brands that?s that reap the benefits of early adoption. In this essay we research how well two kinds of ownership structures, private ownership and chain ownership, in the hotel market match up against each other in Internet presence and the steps they have taken to encourage guests too book via their websites. We determined that the hotel market in Karlstad was sufficient to study the different kinds of ownership structures as it?s small enough to see the competition between private ownership and chain ownership clearly instead of as normal in more densely populated cities where chain owned hotels dominates the marked due to sheer size. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how power structures concerning gender and sexuality emerge through the use of language in the Swedish reality show Paradise Hotel. Of particular interest is the representation of heterosexual relations in the show. Because of its interest in the relationship between power, gender and sexuality, the thesis is based on theories from gender and discourse studies. The specific theories referred to are Michel Foucault?s understanding of power, stereotypes according to Stuart Hall, Yvonne Hirdman?s gender system and contract theory, Judith Butler?s heterosexual matrix and R.W.

The purpose of this thesis was to study managers in the tourism market who works with internal marketing towards their personnel. A case study with two tourism providers, Hotel La-ponia and Mix Ranch, was performed. The cases were based on personal interviews with the hotel manager at Hotel Laponia and with the owner of Mix Ranch. The research questions were based on why tourist providers use internal marketing and how tourist providers use internal marketing. The findings were that it was regarded as very important to have moti-vated, satisfied, and properly trained personnel in this business because they are the ones who have direct communication with the clients and they are an important issue to help the com-pany to success.
