Healthcare staff working within emergency care must often handle extreme and emotional situations. Most of the certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) will some time during their professionally active lives confront with events that are difficult to handle and for some these events will lead to more or less serious traumatic distress and in certain cases develop post traumatic stress disorder symptoms. Many studies demonstrate that staff working in similar stress related environment runs larger risk in order to get stress related symptoms. The aim with the study was to describe the experiences around difficult work related events among CRNAs. The study was implemented as a descriptive study with qualitative run-up via a questionnaire with open questions relevant for the study's aim.

Bakgrund: En stor andel inneliggande äldre patienter är i riskzonen för att drabbas av trycksår, detta orsakat av en kombination av undernäring samt bristande kunskaper hos sjuksköterskor gällande patienters näringsintag. Trycksår orsakar inte bara ett stort lidande hos den enskilde individen utan är även en stor hälsoekonomisk kostnad. Kunskap om nutritionens betydelse samt dess olika näringskomponenter behövs vid upprättade av individuella behandlingsplaner hos äldre.Syfte: Att beskriva näringskomponenternas positiva inverkan på sårläkningsprocessen vid trycksår hos äldre. Metod: Tolv kvantitativa empiriska studier har i litteraturstudien granskats, analyserats och sammanställts. Artikelsökningen genomfördes i databaserna Cinahl, PubMed och Medline och analysprocessen utgick från beskrivande syntes.Resultat: I de tolv granskade artiklarna, påvisades vikten av makro- och mikronäringsämnen, så som protein, protein i kombination med kolhydrater och fett, arginin och arginin i kombination med vitamin C och zink samt övriga aminosyrors positiva inverkan på trycksårsläkningen hos äldre.Slutsats: Litteraturstudiens resultat visade att näringskomponenter har en positiv inverkan på trycksårsläkningen. För att inkludera nutrition som en omvårdnadsåtgärd krävs ökad kunskap hos sjuksköterskor gällande betydelsen av rätt nutritionsbehandling och kunskapen att identifiera personer som kan bli hjälpta av den behandlingen, samt vidare forskning inom ämnet..

The main part of the goats in the world is located in developing countries, whereas active breeding programs are mainly restricted to Northern America and Europe. Goat milk can be processed to several products and goat cheese is the main product. An organized breeding program is carried out in France and Norway but is not present in Sweden. Important selection traits for milk producing goats include milk, protein and fat yield along with protein and fat content. Functional traits have been more important the past years and they have large economic importance for the farmers.

Claw diseases are common diseases in modern dairy production. They are painful for the cow and costly for the producer. Differences in the prevalence of claw disease depending on housing system have previously been observed. This raises the question if there are genotype by environment (GxE) interactions for claw diseases in different housing systems. To investigate this claw trimming records for Swedish Red dairy cattle (SR) and Swedish Holstein cows (SH) were retrieved from the Swedish Dairy Association.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the media discussions of the rape in Bjästa 2009 and to reveal how stereotypical illusions of ethnicity, religion and gender affect how media understands and defines violence. The rape in Bjästa occurred in a ?Swedish context? but has been defined as honor related in other arenas outside media. This discussion occurred because the whole village turned against the woman that was raped and supported the perpetrator? a phenomena that speaks against the idea of an equal society and a behavior that is usually understood as honor related and something that the ?others? do.

Periods of hypoxia are a recurring issue in Brunnsviken. Main factors that trigger hypoxia in Brunnsviken are eutrophication  due to anthropogenic emission of nutrients, stratification in the water column due to salinity and temperature differences  that prevents mixing and a sill inlet that prevents water exchange. As an attempt to improve the oxygen levels, bottom water is pumped from Brunnsviken causing aerated surface water to flow back into the basin.  The objective of this Master?s thesis was to study the change in dissolved oxygen levels due to pumping.

The purpose of this study was to conduct a qualitative study with a case study research design, where we studied social workers and politicians view on honor-related problems of underage girls and boys in the age 13-17. We need knowledge about honor related violence and oppression in the political community and social services to work with honor-related problems. Political decisions affect how social work is developed around the honor problem; therefore, it is also important to highlight this direction for the work. It requires a knowledge complement of honor-related problems not to risk exposing the child to further risk from the family (Hedersförtryck, 2009). This is to live up to, for example the law of Social Services, school law and Human Rights (Hussein & Kinuka-Svedberg, 2010).

Forskningen visar på att elitidrottare inte får i sig tillräckligt med energi och därmed utsätter sig själva för ökad hälsorisk och risk för minskad prestationsförmåga under både träning och tävling. Vi har valt att undersöka en del av detta genom att kartlägga elitbasketspelares återhämtningsvanor. Såväl beteende genom intag av kolhydrater, fett, protein och vätska inom två timmar efter avslutad fysisk aktivitet som föreställningarna kring återhämtningsmålet har undersökts och analyserats.Studien är gjord på ett elitherrbasketlag i Västra Götalandsregionen med totalt nio deltagande spelare. Den är delvis kvantitativ och delvis kvalitativ, triangulering förekommer för att jämföra sambandet mellan beteende och föreställningarna. Beteendet kartlades med hjälp av en matdagbok där spelarna fick skriva ner allt de åt under 4 dagar.

The purpose of this study was to examine work related stressors and related coping strategies among case managers at a domestic violence shelter in the United States. We further wanted to examine whether locus of control among the participants could be related to work related stress and coping strategies. Qualitative interviews were performed with eight case managers to gain knowledge about the stressors and coping strategies they used by examining their thoughts, feelings and experiences. The result showed that the case managers experience a number of stressors in their work environment such as system problems (e.g., lack of re¬sources and time pressure) and emotional stress. Coping responses among the case managers included efforts to alter the problem, so called problem focused coping, efforts to control emo¬tions, so called emotions focused coping and social support from colleagues.

SUMMARY This pilot study tried to answer the question however the present animal welfare regulations for horses regarding lying hall area requirements are adequate for horses older than 24 months. The study was carried out at one of the largest stud farms for standard bred horses in Sweden. Mares in late pregnancy with an initial mean age of 10 years was used in a behaviour study. The influence of varying space per animal in a loose-housing system on behaviours like the horses' lying hall use, standing, resting, moving behaviour and threats was studied. The behaviour at three different horse densities ? 18 mares, 13 mares and 8 mares (7.4 m2, 10.3 m2 and 16.7 m2 per mare, respectively) ? was recorded by use of video.

Inom den ekologiska mjölkproduktionen finns det krav på att hälften av fodret ska komma från den egna gården. En hög självförsörjning av foder ger i många fall även en bättre ekonomi. I Sverige ökar den ekologiska produktionen medan trenden är att självförsörjningsgraden av foder på gårdarna minskar. För att täcka behovet köps importerade fodermedel in, främst proteinfoder innehållande ekologiska sojabönor. Anledningen till importen är att den högmjölkande kon kräver mycket vomstabilt protein, vilket många av de hemmaproducerade proteinfodermedlen har en mindre andel av jämfört med sojabönan. Syftet med arbetet har varit att finna foderstater med hög andel hemmaproducerat foder som klarar att näringsförsörja den högavkastande kon. Målet har varit att jämföra olika foderstater för att finna den optimala foderstaten. Fokus har legat på proteinförsörjningen hos gårdar med hög självförsörjning. En ekologisk mjölkko måste ha ett grovfoderintag på minst 60 %.
