In this investigation has an attempt to find out whether so called transplanting shock depends on the moving and transplanting of trees, to other conditions, or if it is due to the imbalance between the root to shoot ratio. Seventy trees of Prunus avium have been part of the investigation and these trees have been divided into four different groups depending on methods of production, untouched on the field, trees still on the field but with root pruning, trees moved and planted into Root-Control-Bag, trees moved and planted into Spring-rings. To be able to answer the question, measurements of the length of the terminal shoots and the lateral shoots and the dimension of the stem growth have been done and also has a visual judgment of the trees vitality been performed. The result shows that it is not only the move of the trees that gives them transplanting shock, but rather the loss of roots which gives an imbalance between the root and crown..

The French historian Marc Bloch is considered to be one of the masters of medieval history, particularly his creation Feudal Society has been an essential piece of work for everyone who desires a deeper understanding of the general feudal society. Bloch gives his readers a vivid and living picture of a society so far beyond our present that it is sometimes hard to keep in mind that this society is part of our legacy. At the same time Bloch endows his readers with the special historical outlook he and his successors has developed, the history of the mentalities. By reaching further back in time, to the Roman and Germanic cultures and the manorial system, he proves his point that the feudal society was build on the legacy of older structures and institutions.In the coming study I will disentangle the early feudal structure of power as Bloch has described it in his Feudal Society. The essence of this power structure is to find in the very characteristic tie between two men, the vassalage.

Denna uppsats handlar om hur artisterna Håkan Hellström och Ken Ring konstruerar diskurser kring maskuliniteten i sina musiktexter. Utifrån poststrukturalistiskt influerad teori kring feminism och maskulinitet görs en komparativ närläsning som bildar en tematiskt uppbyggd studie. Utifrån det för artisterna gemensamma temat utanförskap visar studien att utanförskapet hos Ken Ring är relaterat till en känsla av maktlöshet. Denna kompenserar Ken genom att konstruera maskulina diskurser med ett överdrivet anspråk på det som den europeiska kulturen förknippar med maskulinitet och genus. Detta kan kontrasteras mot Håkan Hellström som i sitt utanförskap konstruerar maskulina diskurser där ?omanlighet? och ett kärleks- och sexualitetsbegrepp där ?jaget? blir könsmässigt tvetydligt, står i fokus.

This essay revolves around the Christianisation of the Danish kingdom during the middle ages. Issues like; the length of the Christianisation process and the influence it had on thevillages? structural appearance in the Danish kingdom. A special case study of the villages Kyrkheddinge and Fjälkinge, Scania, is an essential part of the essay. Through writtenmaterial and excavation reports from the both villages the study enlightens the structural appearance of the village and the hierarchy of the farms in the village.

Heartwood has always been a desirable part of the tree, due to it?s superior decay qualities com-pared to the sapwood. How the formation of heartwood works has been known for a long time, but which factors that initiates and stimulates the production are poorly understood. This case study presents the results of a study in which silvicultural treatments and site properties had a key position as factors to the formation of heartwood. According to the hypothesis the amount of sapwood is directly controlled by the size of the crown.

The aim of this study is to elucidate factors that effect growth of Sarcina lutea and Bacillus subtilis, exposed to the growth inhibitor SDS (Sodiumdodecylsulfat). Agar diffusion experiments revealed repeated, concentric zones of inhibition and stimulation upon exposure to Sodiumdodecylsulphate or to Amoxicillin. Temperature, nutrient concentration and inhibitor concentration were controlled. Formation of successively repeated zones of inhibition, stimulation, inhibition and stimulation is discussed: ? This master's thesis is a study of how librarians are depicted in crime fiction. 12 American and English mysterynovels featuring librarians in a central role were studied and analysed using character theory. The tribological contact between cylinder liner and piston ring is where an great amount of energy is lost due to friction, and by reducing these losses an reduction in fuel consumption can be achieved.The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the tested piston ring coatings against a plasma sprayed cylinder liner and rank these combinations of materials for friction and wear resistance. The coatings that were tested was Cr + Al2O3, (Al,Cr)N, two types of CrN and WC / C.The experimental tests were performed with a so-called pin-plate, where used oil with addition of an acidic mixture of sulfuric and nitric acid to mimic the acidic condensate formed when exhausts recirculate, were added with a continuous flow. The results were then analyzed by weighing, studies by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and profile measurements.The results from each material combination were that the plasma coated cylinder liner wears too aggressively in order to yield a ranking of the piston ring coatings based on the parameters of friction and wear resistance. It is therefore proposed that an alternative coating on the cylinder liner should be developed, lacking the large abrasive wear on piston rings and that can withstand the corrosive environment resulting in engines equipped with EGR.

The thermal response of a borehole field is often described by non?dimensional response factors called gfunctions.The g?function was firstly generated as a numerical solution based on SBM (Superposition BoreholeModel). An analytical approach, the FLS (Finite Line Source), is also accepted for generating the g?function. In thiswork the potential to numerically produce g?functions is studied for circular borehole fields using the commercialsoftware COMSOL.

I den försvarsdebatt som förts under 2013 och 2014 har det förekommit tydliga skillnader mellan den politiska och den militära nivån avseende syn på hur Försvarsmakten och de svenska luftstridskrafterna ska utvecklas.Varför finns det då denna skillnad? Eftersom det är en nu pågående process är det svårt att finna svaren då slutresultatet saknas. Istället söker denna uppsats förklaringen genom att jämföra skillnader och likheter i synsätt på luftstridskrafternas utveckling mellan den mili-tära och den politiska ledningen mellan 1948 och 1958, vilket omfattar en hel försvarsbe-slutsperiod. Analysen genomförs genom ett verktyg baserat på John Wardens 5-rings modell, applicerat på de svenska luftstridskrafterna, i syfte att identifiera mätbara variabler som se-dan jämförs utifrån den militära respektive den politiska synen.Undersökningen påvisar såväl skillnader som likheter i synsättet där skillnaderna i huvud-sak omfattar de stödjande delarna som till exempel infrastruktur som inte direkt ger militär effekt i duellsituationen vid ett militärt angrepp.Förklaringen till skillnader och likheter finns sannolikt i den maktkamp som enligt teorin na-turligt uppstår i en byråkratisk organisation som samtidigt ska vägas av mot den inre och den yttre strategin i det här fallet svensk säkerhetspolitik..

Kalvningsförlamning är en av de vanligaste sjukdomarna hos mjölkkor och orsakas av ett metaboliskt tillstånd hos kon som kallas klinisk hypokalcemi. När laktationen startar vid kalvning transporteras stora mängder kalcium till juvret och kalciumkoncentrationen sjunker drastiskt i blodet. Om kon inte kan kompensera för kalciumsänkningen kan inte nervsystemet och musklerna fungera som de ska vilket gör att kon blir förlamad och oförmögen till att resa sig upp. På grund av att det är en sjukdom med allvarliga symptom och som kan leda till stora ekonomiska konsekvenser för producenten är det viktigt att kunna förebygga sjukdomen. Syf-tet med det här arbetet är därför att ta reda på vad som orsakar kalvningsförlamning samt hur tillståndet kan förebyggas hos kon och vilka metoder som är vanligast.

Sjukvårdsrådgivningen via telefon är väl förankrat hos Sveriges befolkning då det varje år rings många samtal dit. Avsaknaden av visuell kontakt och den begränsade tillgången till problemet gör att triage och rådgivning försvåras. Telefonsjuksköterskan kan inte ta del av den icke verbala kommunikationen såsom exempelvis ansiktsuttryck, kroppshållning eller sjukdomstecken på kroppen. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa faktorer som har betydelse för telefonsjuksköterskans triage och rådgivning i kontakt med den vårdsökande. I litteraturstudien som grund för resultatet har metoden varit att granska fjorton artiklar med kvalitativ ansats ur ett sjuksköterskeperspektiv.

During the period called Little Ice Age (1400 ~ 1900) the climate of northern Europe was in an annual year-basis overall colder than it was before and after that period. The numbers of short, cold and rainy summers and long, bitter-cold winters where often repetitive under the approximately 500-years the period lasted. In Scandinavia, the coldest time during this period is estimated to have started around the end of the 16th century and lasted to the beginning of the 18th century. Trees growing at the tree-line are limited by temperature for their annual growth and hence showing differences of growth during changes in the climate,  a method called dendroclimatology. The variations of growth can be read in the tree-rings either by analyze the width of the ring or by look into the density of the wood and is used to reconstruct past climates.
