The purpose of this thesis was to make an energy survey and quantify energy flows of individual unit operations associated with the biogas production in Uppsala Vatten och Avfall AB:s biogas plant, located at Kungsängens gård. Moreover, large consumers of energy would be identified and analyzed. The objective of this energy survey was to obtain a detailed understanding of the energy use in the biogas production. The energy survey was divided into two parts: electricity and heat. Each part was treated separately and with somewhat different approach. To estimate the electricity usage during the projcet the rated power of each selected unit operation was noted and multplied with the measured time of usage.

Syfte: Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka operationspersonalens följsamhet till rekommenderade och lokala föreskrifter av hygienrutiner inom ortopedioperation på Centraloperation på Östersunds sjukhus. Metod: Studien var en kvantitativ observationsstudie och genomfördes med hjälp av ett observationsprotokoll. Observationerna utgjordes av höft- och knäplastiker och den sammanlagda mängden observationer var tio stycken. Varje yrkeskategori i operationsteamet observerades utifrån olika moment, såsom arbetskläder, läkemedelsberedning, huddesinfektion och sterildrapering. Följsamheten till hygienrutinerna i de olika momenten beräknades i procent och delades in i tre grupper: 100 % fullständig följsamhet, 99-75 % delvis följsamhet och <75 % bristfällig följsamhet.

Syftet med denna studie är att utifrån ett föräldraperspektiv undersöka behov av och önskemål om stödsom föräldrar med diagnos inom autismspektrum beskriver i sin föräldraroll. Ett annat syfte är att bidra med ökad kunskaptill en diskussion kring utformandet av stödinsatser för dessa familjer. Studien är kvalitativ med intervjuer som gjorts ihalvstrukturerad form. Åtta föräldrar har intervjuats. Föräldrarna beskriver att deras svårigheter gör det svårt för dem isamspelet med barn och partner.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the forest managers view of the edu-cation at the School for Forest management at SLU and the first years of em-ployment. Surveys were sent to batches 05/08, 06/09 and 07/10 a total of 136 question-naires were sent out. 80 people answered the survey, this gives a response rate of 59 percent The former students rated according to a 9-grade scale how satisfied they were with the different courses they had attended during their years as students at the school. The courses in mathematics and statistics got the highest marks with an average of 7.3, while the entry-level course in law only got an average of 4.6. A major part of the former students had in the questionnaire enquired a leader-ship course and a business course with focus on negotiation techniques during their education. There is a wide variety of employment opportunities for the graduated students. Timber buyers and forest managers or planners are just a few positions that for-mer students now possess. The study shows that there is a big difference in the first introduction to a new work place depending on where the student got hired.

The primary purpose of this thesis is to investigate the operation of membership criteria, which are applied against countries that wish to join the European Union (EU). More specifically, the importance of some criteria in comparison to others is considered. To answer this proposal, three questions are posed: What are the EU membership criteria? Are some criteria more important than other criteria? Does the EU treat candidate countries differently in applying the membership criteria? Three countries are used in this analysis, each country representing one recent enlargement round: Poland (2004), Romania (2007), and current candidate country Turkey. Both official documents, such as EU treaties, and unofficial documents such as statements from EU leaders are used to analyze the application of membership criteria.

Bakgrund: Konsumtionen  av sötsaker, läsk, energidryck och snacks kan vara relaterad till olika slags sjukdomar  på grund av  energi-  och fettmängden  samt tillgången till dessa livsmedel.  Kunskap om  konsumtionsmönster  och konsumtionsplatser  för  dessa  livsmedel saknas för gymnasieelever. Syfte: Målet med denna studie var att kartlägga gymnasieelevers konsumtion av sötsaker, läsk, energidryck och snacks. Metod:  En tvärsnittsstudie med tio enkätfrågor om konsumtionsmönster och konsumtionsplatser för  sötsaker, läsk, energidryck och snacks genomfördes på 74  gymnasieelever i årskurs två under två dagar.  Resultat:  I resultaten kom det fram att det vanligaste stället att köpa sötsaker och läsk som konsumerades på skoltid var vid elevfiket. Det som konsumerades på fritiden var vanligast köpt i affärer. Det framgick också signifikanta skillnader i hög- och totalkonsumtionen mellan könen och mellan praktiska och teoretiska program.

People rely on fuels that contribute to environmental, social and health problems.Biogas is an alternative energy source and an increased investment in small-scale biogas production can in several developing countries be found. Several projects have started to use the technology in developing countries because of the benefits with biogas. Some cases in the establishment of biogas plants have succeeded and some have not. The study is a literature review supplemented by two field studies.

Denna studie syftar till att undersöka den syntaktiska strukturen i tre texttyper i tre översättningar av ?Boule de suif? av Guy de Maupassant. De tre översättningarna är gjorda av Sigfried Siwertz (1927), Ingvar Johansson (1972) och Johan Gunnarsson (1985). Metoden som används är utarbetad av Lars Wollin och modifierad av Yvonne Lindqvist. Genom att dela upp texterna i makrosyntagmer och därefter i primära satsdelar kan versionskomplex upprättas vilka möjliggör en jämförelse av käll- och måltextens syntaktiska struktur på operationsnivå. Uppsatsens mål är att ta reda på huruvida olika operationer är ett resultat av de olika texternas textuella strukturer samt i fall det går att skönja ett samband mellan val av operationer och översättare.

The amount of mergers and acquisitions between international and Swedish actors increased due to the Swedish entry in the European Union. In many cases, conflicts between manage-ment and employees made visible the cultural differences between nations and organisations. As a result of these conflicts many companies experience difficulties in operating on the Swedish market and in some cases they have even been forced to leave it.The starting point of this study is analysing how the management at a foreign company in Sweden, that has undergone a merger, has been affected in the meeting with the Swedish business culture. The analyse has got three different perspectives as a base; management, market knowledge and culture.This study is accomplished on the basis of a deductive approach. It is a case study where the empirical foundation derives from five interviews.

Active work to increase the efficiency of energy use is taking place in Sweden and throughout all of Europe. Electricity is an important part in our society?s energy system which means that the electrical grid operators and associated therewith has a central role in this work. Monitoring and controlling the electrical grids are managed from the distribution system operator?s DC, dispatch center.The aim of this report is to examine how the operations in a typical DC on the Swedish electricity distribution network will look like in five to ten years.
