My master?s thesis is a study of acquisition of photographies during 1958-2008. The questions I proceed from is what patterns lies behind the Royal library's acquisition of photography and how the process of acquisition looks like. The theoretical base which I lean on consists partly of a problematization of the process of cultural heritage and partly of organizational theory. The problematization of the process of cultural heritage is my foundation of this essay.

This master?s thesis discusses the term physical theatre from a discourse point of view. It also focuses on aspects of power from a field theory perspective. The main theory used is Pierre Bourdieu?s field theory, and I try to apply this onto critical discourse analysis, mainly taken from Michel Foucault.

When the purpose is to create an illustration plan for a new neighbourhood there arelots of things to think about. In this report follows a description of the three differentplan modells SCAFT/TRÅD, garden city and ekological planning. SCAFT is aplanning model that were used in the 1970s. It contains proposals how to make thetraffic enviorment safer. TRÅD replaced SCAFT in 1982 and it contains also adviceshow to make the traffic enviorment safer.

Training of zoo animals started when the first zoo opened in 1752. The difference between then and now is that from the beginning the zookeepers did not focus so much on animal welfare. Nowadays animal welfare is the most important thing in the training. Therefore, the zookeepers are training the animals mainly for veterinary purposes and activation. The training makes the animals less stresses during handling. When the zookeepers started to train elephants they used unpleasant stimuli such as a whip when the elephant did something wrong.

We have the tradition in Sweden to build villas and houses with a wooden framework. It has become natural for us because we have so much forest in our country. Building with wood has advantages, it is easy to process, but also disadvantages, as it is sensitive to moisture.Finland has long made use of the thermal blocks to build villas. It is a type of bricks that are a bit like a sandwich element, with a core of EPS and concrete on both sides of the core material. The concrete is hollow, so that after the walls has been bricked up you pour concrete into the hollow bricks.The issue of this report is to find out if concrete can be an alternative to wood as framework material in villas.

The Swedish building and property management sector are responsible for about 30 % of the total energy use. In order to take environmental consideration, different environmental assessment tools and standards are used. Miljo?byggnad, Svanen, FEBY12 and PHI are some of these. There has been increased interest to certify buildings and therefore it is of interest to evaluate the assessment of the energy field to see if relevant energy aspects are assessed.

Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) is one of the leading causes of acute encephalitis in humans. The virus is spread by mosquitoes, mainly belonging to the Culex species. The main reservoirs are considered to be birds and pigs, with pigs constituting the most important reservoir in regard to human infection. During the last few decades the production of pork has increased significantly in Vietnam. With 90% of pigs being kept in households owning 10 pigs or less, pigs are widely spread across most parts of the country.

The homes that were built in the 60?s - and 70's are now so dilapidated and worn that they need thorough renovations. These renovations are expensive to implement for the landlords, which means that the funding for these renovations can create problems. Currently there are no government subsidies for these renovations. This report will examine how Förbo performed the renovation of Säteriet.

Around year 2004, a new service was introduced on the Swedish housing market with the purpose of increasing the sell price, namely homestaging. Homestaging means that a home gets in order before a open house, for example by removing personal affections or the leasing of new furniture. The phenomenon originates from the United States, where it has existed for several decades.Most components, but not all, that is included in the homestaging concept is tax-deductible and this has lead to several questions around the law and foremost within tax law. To elucidate this complexity of problems around the right to deduction for homestaging, the Swedish tax agency, Skatteverket, has formulated a letter stating the authority?s attitude towards the phenomenon.

Syftet är att skapa en fördjupad kunskapsbild kring kvalitetssäkring för företag. Utförandet sker genom en kvalitativ metodprocess i form av en fallstudie för att studera, analysera och beskriva fenomenet. Det är av intresse eftersom krav på kvalitet ständigt ökar då nya tekniska lösningar tillkommer och nya former av affärsverksamheter uppstår. Kunder kräver produkter med bättre kvalitet, lägre pris, bättre prestanda och allt detta till en ständigt minskad leveranstid.

Bemanningsföretag var förbjudna fram till 1992 då lagstiftningen blev mer liberal. Antal bemanningsföretag har sedan dess ökat drastiskt. Trots att anställningsvillkoren för uthyrd personal har förbättrats sedan 1992 befinner sig konsulterna alltjämt i en speciell arbetssituation. Att vara anställd på bemanningsföretag skiljer sig från att ha en traditionell anställning där arbetsuppgifterna utförs på en och samma arbetsplats. Den uthyrda personalen har exempelvis dubbla chefer, dubbla lojaliteter, växlande arbetsplatser och ständigt nya arbetskamrater.

För närvarande läses elmätare av en gång per år, detta leder till att kunders elräkning baseras på ett schablonbaserat belopp. Enligt riksdagens proposition 2002/03:85 skall dock alla elkunder, senast fr.o.m. 1 juli 2009, faktureras efter faktisk elförbrukning varje månad. Detta har lett till en stor marknad för fjärravlästa elmätare som nu är ett måste för att kunna utföra den tätare avläsning som krävs. E.ON ES Sverige AB som är beställare av detta examensarbetet har specialiserat sig på att installera, underhålla och läsa av fjärravlästa elmätare åt nätägare.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att pröva om kulturella faktorer kan förklara den mellanstatligavariationen av korruption. En teoretisk genomgång pekar ut Transparency Internationals CorruptionPerception Index, samt Världsbankens Control of Corruption Index som lämpliga indikatorerpå graden av korruption. Som kulturella förklaringsfaktorer används två dimensionersom den amerikanske samhällsvetaren Ronald Inglehart (1997) extraherat ur det världsomspännandeWorld Values Survey-materialet; dessa dimensioner avspeglar en tvärkulturellpolarisering mellan traditionella visavi sekulära värderingar och överlevnadsvärden visaviemancipativa frihetsvärden (Warelius 2007). Inglehart och Welzel (2005) har lagt fram empiriskbevisföring för att socioekonomisk utveckling orsakar kulturell förändring, således användsdenna faktor som bakomliggande kontrollvariabel ? FN:s Human Development Indexnyttjas som indikator på socioekonomisk utveckling.Flera teoretiker framhäver närvaron av formella demokratiska institutioner som en förklaringtill graden av korruption.
