Narrativ Historia
Narrative history has a long tradition in history teaching. But during the decades after the second world war, the attitude to storytelling has been seen with doubt and skepticism. There are many indications in Swedish society and media that the narrative story today stand strong. But is narrative history useful in everyday teaching? This essay is a study of narrative history in a Swedish and Scandinavian perspective the latest thirty years.
Den nakna sanningen? : Hur Nudie Jeans Co. kommunicerar sitt varumärke och hur konsumenter uppfattar det
Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur Nudie Jeans kommunicerar sitt varumärke i olika kanaler, hur konsumenter uppfattar det, samt hur förhållandet mellan den kommunicerade och uppfattade bilden av varumärket ser ut. Teorierna utgår från ett varumärkesperspektiv med begrepp som identitet, image och kärnvärden. Även teorier rörande konsumentperspektiv innefattande aspekter som lojalitet, ansträngning och påverkan behandlas. Metoder som används i studien är dels text- och bildanalys av Nudie Jeans hemsida, intervju med sälj- och marknadschefen på Nudie Jeans samt en enkätundersökning, som besvarats av 177 konsumenter. Urvalet till enkäten är ett bekvämlighetsurval. Kommunikation från och om varumärket sker dels via hemsidan och dels hos distributörer, ofta i form av butikssäljare.
Den villkorliga självkänslans relation till self-efficacy
A self-esteem that is contingent on affirmation from others leaves the individual psychologically vulnerable. Ccontingent self-esteem has been shown to be either relationship or competence based. The aim of the current study was to examine the relationship between relationship based self-esteem, competence based self-esteem, the under dimensions of those, and self-efficacy. Questionnaires were handed out to 69 university students. The results indicated that competence based self-esteem predicted a significantly low self-efficacy.
Är spa till för båda könen? : en studie om genusföreställningar bland spaorganisationer
The aim of this study is to from a gender perspective to examine whether spa is a place for both genders or it is focused on female spa visitors only. Also to study the organisation`s point of view of gender performances within spa tourism as well as to see spa organizations views on gender distribution.To be able to answer the questions, the qualitative method was used in our research. The method is relevant to our study since we sought to gain a deeper understanding of the phenomenon. During the data collection we have used previous researchs and qualitative interviews. Overall we had conducted four interviews, one of which was the personal interview, two were made by email and one by phone call.

The master thesis deals with three completely different
areas: the place, the light and the design, which all are
parts of the subject landscape architecture. The Place in
this paper is the graveyard, the Light is the artificial and
the Design is an illumination. The common denominator
is the graveyard at Galärvarvet in Stockholm, Galärvarvskyrkogården,
where the three parts meet in a clear and
outspoken need of new lighting.
The problem formulation is: Is it possible for a graveyard to
be looked upon and used as a park? How do the administrators
and the designers reason in this matter and what are the
consequences for example the illumination at a graveyard?
This is being investigated and discussed in general and
thereafter the thesis is specifically focussed on the needs
and solutions for the graveyard at Galärvarvet.
The thesis, which is mainly based on facts from litterature,
location studies and interviews, contains of pure
parts of fact, discussion parts, different types of analyses,
reflections of the author, illustrations and photos
from the graveyard at Galärvarvet and also a lighting
proposal for the graveyard and its close environment.
The purpose of this work is to show the connection
between the usage of the graveyard and its illumination.
All to simplify for the administrators, planners and
designers. Hopefully this thesis will be of use in the
deciscion making process for future lighting projects for
the graveyard administration in Stockholm as a basis for
their discussion and decision process for future lighting
projects..

This study is a thorough comparison between what people think about the website www.sl.se, which is a Swedish web-based travel planner for Stockholm metropolitan public transport (such as subways, busses and suburban trains), and how these views compares to the design of the actual website itself. The travel planner offers a wide range of functions and services for their targeted audience to find the fastest route between their current location and their destination. These functions are for example real time information on hold ups and malfunctions on different travel routes, and an interactive map of specific destinations so that the user can get a clear view of the area and nearby traffic stops. But how much does the average user care for these functions, and how often are they used on an average visit? What are the users? motivations when they visit the site? Earlier research suggested that there are services and functions on this website that are useful and well crafted, but that some people may not be aware of.

BackgroundAccording to the Swedish Statistics Central Office (SCB) there were 2 064 000 detached houses in Sweden in 2009. The same year Nordea Bank released a report which described an increased interest in private finances among 2,4 million Swedes. Within the area of private finances lies that which concerns real estate. We argue that a house (detached house) is one of the most financially valuable assets a person will ever own and thus the increased interest in private finance is justified.In regard to this, the financial valuation of the property becomes an issue. When discussed, people mostly refer to the market value, which is the estimated value of the property on the open market.

The world is facing huge challenges to overcome the climate crisis. A contributing actor to the environmental footprints are the textile industry and their production processes, which highlights the importance to act. The purpose of this study is therefore to investigate how a middle size company's purchase- and design department work to contribute to sustainable fashion and sustainable consumption. As well as to examine the challenges and possibilities that the fashion company faces in its sustainability work. The qualitative study has been prepared and is based on 15 interviews with employees in the purchase- and design department.

Made in Sweden : En flerfallstudie om ursprunget som mervärdeskapare
Vi har i uppsatsen valt att studera hur svenska design och hantverksföretag ser på möjligheterna vad gäller ursprungslandet som källa för mervärdeskapande. Detta i syfte att skapa en ökad förståelse för ursprungslandets betydelse för ett företags produkterbjudanden på den internationella arenan. För att uppfylla studiens syfte har vi utformat en huvudfråga enligt följande: Hur arbetar svenska design- och hantverks företag när de använder sig av ursprungslandet i sin internationella marknadsföring? För att besvara forskningens huvudfråga har vi arbetat utifrån en kvalitativ forskningsansats samt tillämpat en flerfallstudie inbegripande fyra svenska hantverksföretag. Uppsatsens teoretiska referensram innefattar en beskrivning av det resursbaserade perspektivet samt omskrivna varumärkesstrategier, vidare behandlar kapitlet teorier rörande ?country-of-origin?. Ovanstående teoretiska block är av stor relevans för forskningens ämne och huvudproblem.

It examines the narration and the use of music as a narrative device to discuss questions about identification and perception through close textual analysis. This study explores Environmental Storytelling techniques and whether these can beused in combination with each other to lead a player through a game scene in aspecific pattern, affect the player?s narrative and exploratory view and explorewhether Self-paced Exploration can be combined with these techniques.It is a qualitative study conducted by six gaming sessions with accompanyinginterviews in which six people get to play one of three versions of the same gamescene. The only differences between the scenes are the different guidance techniquesused. The informants' movement patterns are identified and interviews recorded byaudio, as well as screen recording. The results shows that Environmental Storytellingtechniques can very well be used to control the player's exploration patterns, bothnarratively and navigation purposes and Self-paced Exploration can be utilized to agreater efficiency in combination with these..
Förfädernas berg? : en tolkning av fornborgen på Halleberg
The essay deals with the hill-fort on the mountain Halleberg, Sweden, its wall design, functionality, dating and its possible function as a central location and a place of worship of the ancestors.The Halleberg hill-fort consists of a 1500 meters long at times cohesive stonewalls which together blocked the mountain from its surroundings. Hallberg's natural vertical scree and cliffs along with the masonry blocked the whole mountain from the surroundings.The hill-forts, with few exceptions are largely not investigated archaeologically and its functionality and role in the ancient society is based on outdated research on the subject. The current archaeological interpretation is that hill-forts served as temporary defense in times of unrest or served as center of power for a social elite. The prevailing view in the archaeological sphere is that the hill-forts had a variety of functions and that its functionality and role in ancient society has varied.Halleberg´s strongest wall sections are at the mountain's south-eastern part where the natural driveway, Storgårdsklev is located. Along with the massive masonry of the walls in Bokedalen Storgårdsklev functioned as the hill-forts main entrance.
En mötesdestination ur ett upplevelseperspektiv: konceptutveckling av mötesindustrin i Luleå genom upplevelseproduktion
Forskning påvisar att upplevelser och aktiviteter ökar markant inom turismnäringen. Jag finner det därför intressant att undersöka mötesdestinationer utifrån ett upplevelseperspektiv. Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera hur en attraktiv mötesdestination kan skapas och utvecklas med hjälp av upplevelseindustrin och upplevelseproduktion. För att uppfylla syftet och forskningsfrågorna har en fallstudie med personliga intervjuer genomförts på tre mötesdestinationer. Intervjuer har gjorts med aktörer inom mötesindustrin i Luleå samt en jämförande studie med mötesdestinationerna Gotland och Norrköping.

One of the biggest challenges in the human history is to prevent environmental pollution. Everybody has an indirect or direct influence on the environment through his or her consumption. The stakeholders are not just interested in price and quality, they are also interested in the circumstances of production and how this affects the environment. By taking environmental concern in public procurement it is possible to speed up the environmental adjustment of services and products. Environmental awareness has become more and more self evident in the environmental work.
